Oswald was in the back of a black luxurious car, while Aria was in the front driving him. Oswald kept glancing at her.
“Aria next weekend can you help me train by sparring with me?” Oswald asked.
“I don’t see a reason to refuse.” Aria said with a smile. “Although I am your bodyguard, I won’t go easy on you, little Oz. See is more fun than being your Dad’s secretary.”
“How come you never had bread from Bakery Kim? It’s really good.” Oswald asked.
“Usually, I don’t hang around that area. But you are weird. Who invites his girlfriend over for movies at his house and has bread as the snack.” Aria responded.
“It’s perfectly normal since Hannah also likes the bread.” Oswald responded. “Besides Mom also wanted bread since you, Mom, and Aunt May are going to drink tonight.”
“Yeah, I can’t wait to savor that tequila from Cuquio. Hahaha” Aria said with a big smile. “Your Mom and May are fun people. Your Dad should learn from them. He is always too serious.”
“Isn’t he the one who signs your checks? And shouldn’t he be serious as the Head of the Deus Family?” Oswald said.
“Your Dad wouldn't fire me. I am too good at my job.” Aria confidently said. “Why didn’t you invite your friend Jack to the movie?”
“You see, he is on a date today.” Oswald responded. “Besides, tomorrow we are going to an artificial dungeon.”
“So I am going to follow you in an artificial dungeon tomorrow. Huh?” Aria said. “I haven’t been in one since I got my Adventurer’s License and could go into real dungeons.”
Aria found a parking spot right in front of Bakery Kim. Oswald got out of the car and Aria decided to wait for him in the car.
Oswald entered Bakery Kim. Inside he could see all kinds of bread. He then looked at the counter and he noticed a cute 13 year old girl with black hair and black eyes manning the cash register.
“Hello Iseul. Where are your parents?” Oswald greeted.
“Oh, hi Oz! They’re in the back making bread.” Iseul greeted him. “You should wait for a bit for the bread right out of the oven.”
“Sounds great. I might take all of the fresh bread.” Oswald said. “My Mom is having a gathering with some friends, so she wants many pieces of bread.”
“Your Mom won’t be disappointed in our bread.” Iseul said, then a smile appeared on her face. “Oz, how about I get you a date with my sister? I bet you have heard of her. The famous healer from Rosemary High.”
“Thanks, but no. I already have a girlfriend.” Oswald answered. “Maria sounds like a great girl, but I am already taken.”
“Oh well. I just wanted you as my brother-in-law” Iseul said. “She got a modeling offer from May Deus. You know from the Deus Family. My sister is amazing. Now that I think about it, you never met each other.”
Wait, Iseul doesn’t know I am from the Deus Family. Oswald thought. I guess I never told anyone in the Kim family my last name. I guess most people don’t know me since I don’t make public appearances as the son of the Head of the Deus Family. Maybe I'll tell her.
“Oz, you know I go to the private school Quetzal Middle School and the kids from influential families are arrogant. Especially Carmen Deus, she acts like she is better than everyone.” Iseul complained. “I have observed that all the members of the Deus Family are arrogant, except for May.”
Carmen, you might be my precious little sister, but I might need to scold you later. Oswald thought. I guess I won’t tell Iseul I am a Deus. I don’t want to get scolded by her.
“Yeah, the Deus Family can be quite arrogant. I better keep my distance from them. Hehehe” Oswald said with a weak laugh as he placed his hand on his head. “Oh yeah, Iseul are you able to detect Magical Power?”
“No, the only one in the family that can do that is my sister.” Iseul responded. “I mean only people with great magic talent can do that. Mom, Dad, and I are not as talented in magic as my sister. I mean everyone in the world can use magic, oh except for the son of the Head of the Deus Family. I never seen him, but I feel bad for him. Not being able to use magic and being in such an influential family that seeks talent.”
Why does everyone know my infamy as the guy that can’t use magic?” Oswald thought. At least Iseul can’t detect Magic Power, so she won’t be able to notice I don’t have any.
“Oz, can you detect Magical Power?” Iseul asked.
“Of course, I can.” Oz lied through his teeth not revealing his identity as a Deus or the fact that he detects Man and not Magical Power. Oswald then checked Iseul’s Mana Flow and noticed that it had similarities to Earthling Mana Flow and Lunarian Mana Flow.
“That’s great. I bet you can use strong magic. What kind of bread and how many pieces are you going to take?” Iseul asked.
“I’ll be taking 25 conchas please.” Oswald responded.
“That’ll be … 250 Ix.” Iseul said as she entered the order into her register.

I can’t pay with my card or she will see my last name. I should have a couple 100 Ix bills. Oswald thought as he took out 3 100 Ix bills and handed them to Iseul.
“Alrighty. Here is your receipt. My parents should be bringing the bread any moment now.” Iseul said.
After a few seconds Hajin and his wife Eun came out of the back holding a couple of trays with conchas. Eun looked like a grown up version of Iseul and Oswald now wondered what Maria looked like.
“Hello Mr and Mrs. Kim. How are you?” Oswald greeted them. After being curious about Iseul’s Mana Flow, Oswald checked the married couple’s Mana Flow. He discovered that Mrs. Kim’s Mana Flow resembled that of an Earthling and Mr. Kim’s Mana Flow resembled that of a Lunarian.
“Hello Oz! It’s nice to see you.” Mr. Kim said.
“It’s nice to see you, Oz!” Mrs. Kim said. “You came unharmed from the attack at Zapotes High School, right?”
“Just look at me, nothing happened.” Oswald lied to not worry them.
“That is so good. Those Lunarian Rankers should stop their attacks.” Mrs. Kim said. “They bring a bad name to the honest and hardworking Lunarians.”
“You are right about that.” Oswald said. “I’ll just grab my bread and go. My Mom is waiting back home.”
“I hope to see you again soon, Oz!” Iseul said as she gave Oswald three bags of bread. “Take care!”
“Come back soon!” Mr. and Mrs. Kim siad.
“Of course I’ll be back! Your bread is the best!” Oswald said and then he exited the bakery. He walked towards the car and opened the back passenger seat. He got into the car and Aria started smiling.
“That smells nice!” Aria said. “I can’t wait to eat it!”
“Just wait.” Oswald said. “We need to pick up Hannah first.”
“Aye aye, sir!” Aria said in a playful tone. Aria then started driving towards Hannah’s house. After a few minutes they reached Hannah’s house. Oswald texted Hannah that he was outside. Hannah came outside and headed towards the car. Oswald opened the door and stepped outside. He hugged Hannah and then afterwards they got into the car.
“Hello, I am Hannah. Oswald’s girlfriend.” Hannah introduced herself.
“Hi, Hannah! I am Aria.” Aria responded. “I was assigned as Oswald’s bodyguard from today until further notice.”
“So what did you do, Oz?” Hannah questioned as she glared at him. “You have a bodyguard now.”
“I might have stolen a Blank Dungeon Pass and went into a dungeon.” Oswald said as he looked away from Hannah.
“I see.” Hannah said then she took the bags of bread from Oswald. “I am the one who decides when her reckles boyfriend gets to eat bread. I am confiscating this from you. This is your punishment.”
“Most of that is for my Mom, you know.” Oswald said.
“I am guessing the bag with five pieces is for us.” Hannah said and placed the two bags of ten bread pieces on the front seat. “Here you Aria. Take care of those bags. I’ll take care of this one. You been too reckless lately.”
‘Maybe. Hehehe!” Oswald said. “I won’t do anything that is dangerous.”
“I don’t buy that.” Hannah said. “Your actions say otherwise. Aria please take care of Oz, even though he can act like an idiot at times.”
“Don’t worry, Hannah!” Aria said. “My fighting capabilities are in the top 20 of the Deus Guild.”
“That is impressive, Aria!” Hannah said. “Oz, what movie are we seeing?”
“Old World Anew, I read that it is about a guy going back in time before magic appeared on Earth.” Oswald said.
“Sounds interesting.” Hannah said. “I can’t wait to watch it with you.
Hannah took Oswald’s hand and started to get close to him. They stayed like this until they arrived at Oswald’s house a few minutes later. Aria was having fun observing the young couple.
Oswald and Hannah got out of the car. Hannah was carrying the bag of 5 pieces of bread and Oswald was holding the two bags of bread for his mother. Aria took the car to the garage to park it. Oswald hurried in front of Hannah and opened the door and let Hannah go inside first. Carmen ran towards Hannah and hugged her.
“Hannah, you're finally my brother’s girlfriend.” Carmen said. “I am so happy.”
“Same here, Carmen.” Hannah said while patting Carmen’s head.
“Can I join you two in watching the movie?” Carmen asked. Hannah looked back at Oswald with a smile.
“Yes, we’re going to be in the living room.” Oswald said.
“You are the best, Oz!” Carmen said. Carmen let go of Hannah and sat down on the middle couch in the living room.
“This is my first time meeting your parents as your girlfriend.” Hannah said. “Although I met them before as your friend, somehow I feel nervous.”
“You shouldn’t feel like that. You already know they like you!” Oswald said while patting Hannah’s head.
“I’m not a little kid, you know.” Hannah said while blushing. “But I like it when you do this. I am going to greet your parents. So set the movie in the meantime and give me those two bags of bread.”
“I’ll do as you say, madam. Haha!” Oswald said as he handed the bags to Hannah and went to set up the movie. Hannah gave Oswald the bag with 5 pieces of bread and walked towards the kitchen.
“Carmen, I heard you’re acting spoiled.” Oswald said while putting down the bread bag on the table and grabbing the remote. “Care to explain?”
“Wait, how did you find out? … No … I mean, that’s lies.” Carmen said with a nervous expression. Oswald just looked at her. “Fine, it’s because I am a Deus. We are from a powerful and influential family, so what’s so bad about acting like that?”
“Yet you’re only riding on the accomplishments of our ancestor, Leon Deus.” Oswald said as he turned on the T.V. “What have you personally accomplished?”
“People call me a genius, so there is that.” Carmen responded. “I am also a candidate for the Family Head.”
“That might be true, but what have you done to earn that attitude?” Oswald said while scrolling through the movies. “I mean our cousin, Leon, is also a Family Head candidate. He goes into the dungeons to get resources for the Deus Guild, yet unlike our other cousins he doesn’t act arrogant. And he is more than qualified to act arrogant. Are you qualified to act like that?”
“No, Oz.” Carmen said while looking down at the ground. “Then, I will accomplish more to be able to say I am worthy of that attitude. I trust your advice, Big Brother.”
“That’s the spirit, Carmen.” Oswald clicked on the movie, put the remote down and patted Carmen’s head. “Both you and I will achieve great things. I promise you!”
Hannah arrived from the kitchen and sat down next to Carmen.
“Come on, sit next to me, Oz!” Hannah said. “Let’s enjoy the movie.”
“That is the plan.” Oswald sat down next to Hannah.
