AN: The next chapter will be super long. Title: Showdown.
“Bastard!” Arthur screamed in anger.
He felt deep fear that Rita and Mia almost died and anger, that it had been on his watch.
His pride also got hurt. When had he ever suffered a loss ever since that day he awakened in the alley a few years ago?
Aside from Rita’s mother, whom he felt to be equally if not more talented than he was, Arthur had not been put in a difficult position for a long time, especially not by his age mates.
Space essence erupted from Arthur.
He teleported behind Dean before punching him in the spine.
Dean tried to react but was still a step slow. He stumbled forward and before he could even stabilize himself, Arthur flashed in front of him and sent out a right uppercut.
Dean was sent flying, as blood sprayed from his mouth in mid-air.
Immediately when he landed, Arthur flashed on top of him.
“How dare you stand against me?”
*Bang*
“Who do you think you are?”
*Bang*
“Where did you even get the courage from?”
*Bang*
“It seems the lesson I taught you the last time wasn’t enough!”
*Bang*

With every sentence Arthur said, a muffled bang followed.
After three minutes, Arthur panted as he tried to catch his breath.
The face of Dean under him was already covered in blood.
What made Arthur speechless was that throughout his beating, Dean didn’t make any sound; not even a grunt escaped from his lips.
He just glared at Arthur under the countless barrage of punches.
When he saw Arthur stop, Dean strained himself to speak…
“You taught me a great lesson. One that changed my life completely…” As he said this, a tear slid uncontrollably down his face.
Surprised, Arthur looked at him, feeling that something was wrong.
However, he immediately discarded that thought before sneering, “Heh! You are crying? You didn’t even cry the last time. I hope you have now learned your lesson.”
The tears welling up in Dean’s eyes vanished without a trace. In place of it was a bone-chilling coldness.
Coughing a mouthful of blood, he looked at Arthur who was sitting atop of him, “You know, I admit in a one-on-one fight I don’t stand a chance against you…” His words trailed as he looked at the prideful light that shone within Arthur’s eyes, “But…I am not alone!”
“Great earth shift!”
Before Arthur could react, a greatsword smashed into him, sending him flying for a few meters.
He coughed a mouthful of blood before looking in Dean’s direction.
“Bastard! You…”
His words were cut short when he saw the middle-aged man standing before Dean and looking at him coldly.
Not only that, but a huge crowd of hundreds of people surrounded them.
There were some on the ground and a few on the buildings lining the streets.
They all had two things in common.
A thick wave of evil energy surrounded them.
And most importantly, they all glared at him with no exception.
Spitting a mouthful of blood, Dean slowly stood up before dusting himself.
“How do you like my army?”
“I told you before, you are going to die today!”
Looking at the people surrounding him, Arthur’s eyes shone with a rare light of seriousness.
There was no need for words.
“Mirror clones!”
Nine clones flashed around him before disappearing into the crowd.
However, before they could even act, a cold voice echoed out…
“Melody of death!”
A massive cloud of evil energy engulfed a great deal of those present.
Arthur quickly teleported beside the girls before sending his mana into Mia to resist the corruption.
*Whoosh* *Whoosh* *Whoosh* *Whoosh*
All Arthur heard was nine whooshing sounds, and immediately after all his clones exploded into silver essence before they could even attack.
“I might be weak against you, but against your clones…” Dean didn’t finish his words and instead pointed his scythe at Arthur, his intentions clear.
Rita grabbed Arthur’s clothes as she looked at him imploringly. However, Arthur patted her head before removing her hand.
“Don’t worry! All they have is numbers! They don’t stand a chance against me.”
What he didn’t know is that the thought of teleporting them away at that point which didn’t even cross his mind for a moment will be one of his greatest regrets in life.
