"Anyway I look at it, he looks half-dead," said Arlo before he continued, "And I don't have any healing medicine on me..."
"Oh please!" A voice interjected. A snow-white-haired girl who would potentially grow to become a world-destroying beauty played happily with a little slime, as she jumped around like a little girl who just got her best toy. Along with her jumping movement, the cute giggles of a much younger girl echoed out.
Arianne not bothered by the situation continued, "Give him three hours, and he should be back on both feet."
"What?" Arlo exclaimed.
He didn't believe he could recover from such an injury despite how monstrously strong his current body was, not to talk of Joe.
Arianne stopped her movement and inched closer toward Arlo.
"Uhnn! Why did you stop?" Anita voiced out unhappily.
"Hehe, I'm coming. We are going to play all day."
"Hmm."
As Arlo looked at the little exchange between Arianne and his summon, he couldn't help but wear a strange expression on his face.
Arianne at this point had lost all semblance of her cold and indifferent attitude. She seemed more like a cute little girl eager to play.
<< Didn't you also behave like that when you first saw the slime? >> Old bro's sneer resounded in his mind.
Coughing to hide his embarrassment, Arlo decided to tactfully change the topic, "Can he heal from such a wound?"
"He is not a normal beast. He is a beast with a royal bloodline." Arianne said when she reached his side. "His regeneration might not compare to us vampires, but it isn't that far off."
Arlo decided to trust her words, as he didn't have any way to help Joe in the first place.
"Let's just leave him here and go to the city. He should be back up when we return."
The corners of Arlo's mouth twitched slightly.
Taking a moment to think, since he didn't know Joe's room, he decided to take him to his.
With that, he lifted Joe and carried him toward the castle.
Well, he tried to, as immediately when he moved two meters from Arianne, the little slime disappeared from her embrace.
Subconsciously, he could feel Anita's presence return to the seal.
"Oops! I forgot about that." To explain what just happened, Arlo turned around only to see Arianne glare at him like a little girl who just had her toy stolen.
With her eyes glowing slightly, she pounced on him.

"Wait…" Arlo pleaded but failed.
Joe in his unconscious state could feel his body being beaten like a rag doll.
'Am I in hell?'
.....
Outside the northern continent.
In the endless red plains surrounding the dark veil that seemed to stretch to eternity.
In an open space underground.
A group of people knelt, while a man sat on a stone throne.
Before the throne stood a man, not bothering to kneel like the others.
"Today is the day that slut died," said the man on the throne before he continued, "That bitch Scarlett should be meeting up with her sister today. How are the preparations?"
"I have already investigated the city. Aside from the city lord, there is an old man with a crawler shop that also seems to be in the master realm."
"Oh!" The man on the throne narrowed his eyes.
"Not to worry. The plan can still hold. I have already planted the devil seeds around the city. Once they activate, those two should be the only ones we need to take care of." The other man reasoned.
"I will take care of the city lord. Do you think you can handle the old man?"
He didn't reply immediately this time and took some moments to think about it carefully.
He didn't dare to jeopardize this mission, as it had to do with their lord, Lord Evil.
Looking back at the people kneeling, his eyes shined lightly before he spoke with confidence, "If I have the support of ten greater demons, I should be able to deal with him."
"Hmm." The man on the throne thought about it. They numbered far more than this, it was just that they were scattered around the world.
Some were in the central continent, some in the Southern continent.
However, they all had the same purpose.
To fulfill the will of their lord.
And what was his will?
The death of all beings.
It was just that vampires and wolves, two apex predators, ruled this world. This made it difficult for them to serve their purpose.
Not to mention that two monstrous existences that had even gone head to head with their lord several times were guarding this world.
But now they had a great opportunity.
Those two monstrous existence will be meeting up to mourn that slut, and according to the information they got, they seem to cut off their connection with the world.
After thinking deeply about it, he finally decided, "You will be in charge of ten greater demons. Another ten will be responsible for destroying the teleportation formation in the city. While the rest will kill the guards guarding the city gate and deal with any unforeseen event that comes up. I will handle the city lord myself."
"Yes!" All the kneeling figures responded at the same time.
The other man nodded his head before his unclear features suddenly distorted. A handsome man with black hair filled with white streaks suddenly appeared.
With a final nod of his head, he disappeared from the underground space.
Several situations just like this were happening around the world.
A storm was brewing.
*****
Deep within the northern continent.
At the top of a mountain that seemed to touch the sky.
"Mother, are you going?"
"Hmm."
Scarlett who was over three meters high affirmed as she walked away.
An enchanting woman with snow-white hair filled with black streaks gazed at her back with conflicting eyes.
"Can I follow you?" she said after some hesitation before she whispered, "She was like an aunt to me."
Scarlett stopped her steps, and after taking a moment to think about it, she replied, "Next time."
Even though she didn't get the answer she wanted, a warm smile still lit up the face of the other woman as she watched Scarlett leave.
Scarlett was just about to fly off when the woman stopped her, "Mother, do you know where Arianne is? I don't know where she runs off to nowadays."
Scarlett lips twitched slightly before her eyes glowed red.
The image of a snow-white-haired girl embracing a slime, and a golden-haired boy walking toward a city entered her vision.
Seeing the playful smile dancing on her granddaughter's lips, a light smile lit her face.
Taking off to the air she responded, "Don't worry about her, she is having fun."

In opened spaces found underground around the world, the eyes of several people snapped open, before they glowed with a menacing light.
The two overbearing pressures that constantly towered over them had finally disappeared.
"It is time!"
