The principal felt a headache coming on.
This was supposed to be a free-for-all battle royale.
How did it devolve into a three vs ninety battle?
He was just about to stop this change from going on when a voice resounded from behind him.
"We might as well see where this goes, don't you think so, principal?"
At some point, Evangeline had already appeared behind them and was already seated on one of the front seats.
Donned in her characteristic black suit which highlighted all her assets, the principal couldn't stop his eyes from roaming around her body.
Evangeline flashed him a smile; a smile that sent chills down his spine and served to bring him back to his senses.
'What the hell did I just do?'
A trickle of sweat slowly slid down his forehead.
He of all people knew the woman before him wasn't one to be trifled with.
'Principal, she is the bitch who knocked me out yesterday!'
One of the female teachers sent him a spiritual message.
The principal's eyes widened upon hearing this devil incarnate being insulted. Not to say he was involved in it.
Thinking about what happened yesterday, his eyebrows furrowed.
Evangeline had appeared in his office and informed him that he would be handling the first year's martial class.
He couldn't dare to say no, so he had offered to instruct the first-year martial arts teacher about the arrangement.
But Evangeline had said she would handle it and disappeared thereafter.
Now he could guess what had happened from the other's reaction.
Looking at the female teacher coldly, he sent her a telepathic message:
'I advise you to forget whatever happened yesterday. There are some people you just can't mess with.'
The female teacher became visibly angry.
It was clear she wasn't reconciled with what the principal said.
She had thought the principal would take her side, but who would have thought he would chicken out?
She knew the person in person had some status.
But as a fellow teacher of the Darkblood academy, she didn't believe she fell far short of her.
The principal shook his head before ignoring her completely.
He had already warned her, whether she listened or not had nothing to do with him.
'Sir, you can't possibly be thinking of indulging her, do you?'
He received another spiritual message, but this time from Moose.
Looking at Moose who glared at Evangeline, the corner of his mouth couldn't help but twitch.
He knew these two had some history together.
Evangeline returned Moose's glare with an amused smile.
"Would you like me to wipe that smile off your face?" threatened Moose out loud.
"Heh!" Evangeline merely chuckled, causing Moose to almost flare up.
She shifted her gaze back on the principal, as she flashed him a questioning look.
'Principal, just agree. The sooner we send her off, the better. There will be many more ranking wars this semester, so indulging her this once won't cause much of a difference.' Julian quickly spoke to the principal.
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
The principal couldn't agree more with him, so after gathering his thoughts, he replied:
"We will do as lady Evangeline said..." he paused for a moment before adding, "...but just this once!"
Evangeline ignored the last part of his statement and shifted her gaze back to the raised dueling ring.
While these series of exchanges seemed to have taken long, the truth is that it merely took about 30 breaths.
The fight in the ring was just heating up.
.....
After knocking the students back, Arlo and Arianne stood against each other and took their fighting posture.
None of the students attacked again.
Out of their anger, they forgot one of the students they were facing off against was their princess, a supreme genius.
The other elites were communicating with their spiritual sense.
'Let us wait for the other students to weaken them out. We won't be able to fight with our full strength with them on the way.' Rosaline proposed as she adjusted her spec with the side of her right thumb.
The others agreed with her and moved backward.
This slight change didn't escape the sense of the other students and Arlo's group.
Seeing that the elite students were backing off, some of the other students started hesitating.
"What the hell are you waiting for? Attack!" Ric suddenly roared.
He felt stifled inside. He wanted nothing more than to go knock Arlo down himself, but he knew Rosaline had a point.
Seeing that none of the students still attacked, he spoke once again, this time his voice colder:
"Those that don't attack will be offending the outstanding five!"
All the other elites also glared at the hesitating students.
That seemed to do the trick, as while they would face Arianne, they didn't think she would lower herself by retaliating against them later.
Not to say that Arlo's group had truly ignited their collective anger.
"Attack!' It wasn't clear who said that from the front, but this time none of the students hesitated.
They all flooded Arlo's group, but this time before they reached they were smart enough to launch their attacks beforehand.
"I will take this side!" shouted Arianne as she stomped on the ground and launched off like a cannonball
Arlo turned around briefly before addressing the still-ducking Joe.
"Protect yourself!"
Before Joe could react, Arlo gathered all his Ki into his feet and stomped the ground.
Immediately after, his body turned into a blur.
As he evaded the slowly approaching attacks, a trifling thought flashed within his mind:
'I am still slower than her!'
He was moving at his max speed yet he was still slower than Arianne.
Arlo knocked the students out one by one.
All they saw was a flash before they fell unconscious.
The majority of the students were mid-level beginner mages while a few had reached the late stage, so even with their innate vampiric abilities, they stood no chance against Arlo.
Only the elite students were peak-level beginner mages.
And as geniuses, they all could fight above their realm.
In just a minute majority of the students fell by Arlo and Arianne's hands.
Since the dueling ring was large enough, Arlo and Arianne had enough room to dodge their attacks.
Seeing that only three students were remaining on Arlo's side, Ric cursed before storming off.
The other elite students still decided to watch.
Arianne still had about twenty more students holding her off, so she was still occupied.
It wasn't that she was any slower than Arlo, it was just that she had more students on her side.
Arlo quickly dispatched the last three students on his side.
But before he could even catch his breath, Ric rammed into him and grabbed his waist.
Arlo was slowly lifted into the air as both their bodies moved forward due to Ric's inertia.
"Oh!"
Arlo slammed his elbows down on Ric's back but the latter ignored him as he gave a strange battle cry.
A trace of anger flashed within Arlo's eyes before he concentrated his Ki into his right elbow and smashed down once again.
*Crack!*
A sound of something cracking echoed out followed soon after by Ric's cry.
But this time his cry sounded pained.
All this happened within a small time frame. Arlo's feet finally touched the ground, while Ric's hold around his waist weakened.
Making full use of this opportunity, Arlo quickly grabbed Ric's head while he was still bent and kneed him in the face.
*Crack!*
Ric's nose broke but before Arlo could continue the other exerted force into his hands and pushed Arlo away.
His broken spine had already readjusted itself thanks to his regenerative ability.
Standing up, Ric grabbed his broken nose and fixed it back in place.
He winced from the pain but after noticing his nose already healing up, he opened his eyes, his vision still a bit blurry from the pain.
When he came to, his eyes widened as they registered the knee that flashed right before his face.
Arlo jumped up before sending a knee right under Ric's jaw.
*Bang!*
His head started snapping back simultaneously as his body was beginning to be sent flying but before he could even leave his position, Arlo who was still in the air, smashed his right elbow down on Ric's head.
"*Bang!*
*Crack!* a bone-chilling crack echoed from Ric's head.
Ric eyeballs almost popped out of their socket, while his mouth which had opened for a moment when he was kneed was forcefully closed shut causing his flailing tongue to almost be bitten off.
Ric's body slammed into the ground.
An intense pain washed over him and even as his body subconsciously regenerated, he felt like he might die just from the unbearable pain.
All the other elite students flinched, while Arianne who had already ended the battle on her side also gasped in shock.
As they all watched the fight and even subconsciously forgot that they were also involved in it, only one thought rang in their minds:
'So brutal!'
Arlo walked toward the sprawled Ric with slow but graceful steps.
He was no more the same as the same boy as last night.
He was now accustomed to fighting with his elbows and knees and if Ric taught he could still pull one on him like he did the last time, then he was greatly mistaken.
A few feet away from Ric, two figures suddenly flashed beside him.
The elites were finally going to attack!
