Chapter 86: Sights and Dangers of the Western Sea

It was smooth saling for Elise's crew after their tensions brewed. With the Sincirce and Tony mutiny avoided, Elise could keep her peepers peering through the Captain's looking glass. The sky was bright orange like a freshly squeezed glass of marmalade as the sun headed downwards. The Captain told Elise to keep her eyes out for any strange sights as the Wild West Sea was rife with them. Secretly, Elise was looking more for the wild sea-horse stallions and mares, but danger was her second objective.

"What the shell?!" she exclaimed, her eyes looking into something bulbous, bright green and prickly rising out of the water. "Other cap'm," she shouted. "Danger ahead! It looks really sharp!"

Archibell seized the looking glass and uttered, "thar she prickles!"

"Which what is that?" Elise demanded and the captain gave a chuckle.

"That my sweet second Captain is an enormous sea cacti! The Wild West Sea is known for em! They are so tall they grow from the bottom of the ocean floor and if a sea vessel crashes into them, they really know how to make their point!"

"Do anything, cap'm!" Tony shouted as the sea cacti loomed closer on the horizon. "I'm too young to be a fish-kabob!"

Sincirce gasped too and she sheltered her bust. "Yes hurry it up, will you, Captain Obvious. Some of us have poppable cargo on board the ship!"

Tito, the Captain and Tony all looked at the witch with red blushes until she exclaimed, "I'm talking about my prize winning purple pumpkins!"

She held out two jack-o'-lantern that were a peculiar shade of purple. "I hope our audience has less filthy minds than you three!"

"Never mind the entendres!" the captain cried. "Because we're about to crash...without a brave handsome man like me!"

With a quick swish, the captain spun the wheel aside, causing everyone to topple and clutch onto whatever they could for dear life. Elise and Tony grabbed the captain, Sincirce grabbed the captain and Tito grabbed the witch's pumpkins until she hit him upside the head with her hat. (Then he grabbed Elise, much to her happiness!)

Together, they swiftly dodged the overgrown sea cactus and headed out into the open sea. "Don't think yer outta the woods yet, mateys," Archibell shouted and pointed ahead.

Ahead of them was a veritable ocean desert of sea cactuses. They had arrived in the Wild West Sea at last! "Great," Tony the Troutface muttered. "If dis is our welcome, who knows what else is in store for us!"

Elise whipped out her telescope and peered excitedly through it. She swooned excitedly when she saw what was in the distance. Several hundred proud sea horses galloped on top of the water, mares and stallions of all colors of the rainbow. Their tails glided along the water with a defy grace that only a majestic sea beast could. "Horseys!" she shouted with glee, before looking again. There were figures riding the horses, many of them dressed in black with cloth wrapped around their faces. "Umm who are they...?"

Elise asked and thrust the telescope to the captain.

"Oh Sea cucumbers!" he shouted. "Bandits! We're gonna have to sail for our lives!"
