Chapter 84: Swinging Singles Island: A Bad Memory For Tony

As the days passed without islands in sight, Elise could only dream of their destination and reaching it soon. The Wild West Sea was far from the Southern Sea and there weren't much in the way of landmarks. Luckily, Tito's uncle, having learned his lesson about murderous sea belles had rewarded the crew with delicious seafood for their rations.

In the evenings, the captain cooked up delicious morsels and stories of the most untamed frontier in the four great oceans. He, Sincirce and Tony had all visited this wild ocean, but the Captain had spent the most time there. "And there are enormous sea horses that gallop and glide on the tops of the water like real fillies! I've rode my share of Wild Sea Horses..."

"And that cap'm screamed like a little girl as he held on fer dear life!" Tony the Troutface chuckled. "And he rode bare back so he was bent over for weeks afterwards!"

"Shut it, fish," Archibell shouted, his fingers looped in the belt. "Or you will be in tomorrow's fish stew!"

Sincirce and Tito both laughed their heads off at the Captain's faux pas, but Elise's eyes were turned towards the stars to laugh at him. She dreamed of riding a pink and white uni-sea horse and gliding across the water with the wind in her hair. Tito would ride next to her riding a mighty black sea-horse stallion and together they would leave trails of sparkles and rainbows behind them.

She was so starstruck by her fantasies of the Wild West Sea she didn't realize she had dropped her red snapper onto her sundress.

"I didn't know we were having flying fish today!" Tito chuckled and Elise punched him on the arm.

"Stop it," Elise said. "I was just having maiden's fantasies!"

"Not at the table!" Tito cringed.

"Hey, I was just dreaming about the sea horsies!" Elise said with a smile. "The only sea horse we've seen so far is a crazy cowgirl lady with a horsy laugh!"

The good Captain placed his hand on Elise's shoulder. "Well get ready to saddle up buckaroo, because there's a whole bale of bucking broncos to behold when we get there!"

"She sell sea shells!" Elise said, her eyes glistening. "This is going to be the best sea yet!"

After dinner, the boat cruised on the waves further and further northwest, and in the far distance, there was an island. Elise couldn't tell what it was, but when the Captain peered through his telescope (And Tony peered through his toy telescope) they both uttered loudly at the same time.

"Oh no!" Tony shouted angrily.

"Oh yes!" The captain said hungrily.

As Elise and her crew got closer, she could finally see what the hullabaloo was about. It was a small island with a gorgeous white mansion constructed in the center. The surrounding hills were filled with concrete tennis courts along with swimming pools, and straw cabanas. Crackling lit torch lights lined cobblestone pathways to all the festivities. Beautiful and quite romantic music played on harps and other exotic stringed instruments. People of all races and orientations enjoyed each other's company in the moonlight, holding hands, drinking together or playing sports together in harmony.

"Is this a vacation island?" Elise asked tugging on the captain's coat.

"In a way," the captain said, wiggling his eyebrows.

"It's a trap!" Tony said, hiding behind the wheel.

Sincirce casually strutted up the steps. "What's going on, boys?" And suddenly her large purple eyes widened. "Is that Swinging Singles Island?"

"The scene of da crime!" Tony shouted, pointing a fin accusingly at Sincirce.

"Hey now," Sincirce giggled. "You don't need to remind me. Unlike you I don't have a guppies brain!"

"Oh Sea King!" Tony cried. "All da memories are coming back now. Dis is da place where you turned me into a fish afta a bad blind date!"
