"Why are there so many soldiers right now? I know this is the strongest military place, but is there a war happening right now?" From afar, I saw a guard talking to a person who seems to be a player because of their clothes. The player appears irritated.
As I tried to approach the area, the player suddenly gets suppressed instantly, knocked out cold. "Take all of those suspicious people!" the leader of the soldiers commanded. And just like that, chaos erupted in the area.
I saw some players who could fight and had powers, using magic—something I don't have. Perhaps they are from a game world that grants them magic abilities. I thought they could beat the guards, but no... the soldiers are strong. Their bodies glowed with an aura, and they instantly overpowered the players with powers. Players were slowly getting overwhelmed. This is bad... I need to hide.
The soldiers began to utilize their aura, easily suppressing the players, even those with armor. With their overwhelming numbers, this wasn't a fight at all. For me, someone with no powers at all, I was as good as dead if I got hit by them.
This is the power of the strongest military city, huh? This is interesting. Surely, no one dumb enough would attack this city, especially not within the next 30 days. But this is not the time to dwell on that. I need to survive this first before everything else happens.
I tried to run as fast as possible, darting through alleyways and corridors. Some players were ahead of me, and there was only one soldier chasing us from behind. But that soldier was quickly knocked down at the farthest point. I need to run super fast, damn it...
He knocked down one person after another, slowly closing in on us... this is bad! Then, swoosh! Someone fought against the soldier—a group of people with powers. They engaged in combat with the soldier, giving us a chance to escape. A man in front called out to us. "Follow us!" With no other choice, I followed them.
We ran to where the guy led us, and then in a very hidden spot, there was a small opening. Down we went into it, and then boom, we found ourselves in a place we didn't know. It seemed like an underground passage or sewer.
The city's architecture is dominated by a labyrinth of brick stairs, seemingly woven into the very fabric of the mountain itself. This design choice not only facilitates movement across the city's rugged terrain but also provides an array of concealed alcoves and hidden passages. Such features, inherent to mountainous cities, serve as both practical solutions for traversing steep slopes and strategic advantages for those seeking refuge or anonymity amidst the bustling streets.

I believe this is why there are hidden passages like this, who knows. But it seems we're not the only ones here; there are a lot of players just like me. Some are distressed, some are praying, some are calm, and some are just being cautious. Different people, yet we're all on the same planet. It seems the game world has already changed us in the past two months.
Two days have passed since I arrived in this world, and for those two days, I've only stayed in this hidden underground place. I've only heard news about what's happening above from the stronger individuals. There's martial law in effect right now, and we're seen as terrorists by the soldiers. We can't just go out like that.
The people in charge of this place are luckily good-hearted; they help us who are weak. Well, there aren't many weak ones, but at least they feed us, even though the food they sell is expensive for regular folks. Well, we don't have a choice.
Is this how I'm going to spend my 30 days here? Please, God, I know you can help me...
Just as God is always by my side, my wish instantly come true. It's great news! "Everyone!! We're free! The guards just announced some incredible news for us... we're free!"
It's one of the players who goes outside regularly. Of course, some of us are distrustful, but I believe this is the chance God gave us, so I should seize this opportunity. "I'm coming! I'm willing to confirm!"
Just as the player said, everything is true. A lot of people, whom I believe are players, can be found in the area. Despite the numerous guards, which make us wary, they have clearly stated their welcome to us.
That was easy, it seems we are truly free! Wow! I though the leaders is heartless but it seems they are just wary and they still have humanity on there heart.
We are commanded to line up and receive our ID for our stay here in the city. This will be our identity during our time here.
"What's your power, mister?" A woman who appears to be a magician ask me as she starts to make my ID. "Um... I don't know what my power is..." Then her smiling face suddenly changes to a frown.
"Tskkkk." She seems to express disgust as she makes my ID. "Your blood, please," she says in a tired tone. "Yes, yes... umm, how should I do that?" I inquire nervously. She sighs, then takes my hands. Suddenly, magic envelops us, and her nails appear sharp. Instantly, my finger has blood, and she pours a drop onto the ID. After that, she uses magic to heal my finger. Lastly, she puts a unique engraving on the ID before handing it to me. It feels like she is cursing me on her mind, this is discrimination! oh well who cares, God is by my side.
The ID is unique, imbued with a mystical essence. It feels like there's magic within it. The ID displays my name, my face, the distinct engraving, possibly a logo representing the Kingdom of Regalia. Additionally, there's a statement indicating "travelers" or something similar, signifying our status. Moreover, there's a mention of Paramountia, where we currently reside.
At the back, it states "Powers," but there's only one-word description: "none." Oh well, I can obtain power here. Surely, I will get my big break and become powerful. I believe God is watching over me, so let's start the game seriously.
