Chapter 24: The Chief's Final Stand⚰

As I entered the base, I was greeted by a scene of utter chaos. Many goblins, who were not skilled fighters, that had remained here were being slaughtered. The enemy seemed to be killing them without hesitation, and the buildings were being destroyed in the process.

I tapped into a wealth of magic power, unleashing a potent level 3 spell. The land responded as plants rapidly grew, ensnaring and capturing many of the enemy barbarians. These newly formed flora barriers were not only a formidable obstacle for the invaders but also served to protect the goblins from harm.

My magic power was nearly depleted, but just in the nick of time, the Sword Hero arrived. With a mighty swing, he cut through the branches that blocked his path to me. It seemed we were in for round two, with determination in our eyes. I saw a weapon on the ground from a barbarian I took it well I don't have too much magic left.

The Sword Hero and I locked eyes, a tense silence enveloping us. In an instant, we lunged at each other, our weapons meeting with a resounding clash. The duel began, a relentless exchange of strikes and parries. I weaved a web of magic around my sword, attempting to outmaneuver the Sword Hero. He, in turn, showcased his legendary swordsmanship, each swing precise and deadly. The battle raged on, a dance of steel and magic, as we fought to gain the upper hand in this intense showdown.

As the duel continued, the Sword Hero seemed to have the upper hand, his strikes becoming faster and more relentless. My strength waned, and I struggled to keep up with his relentless assault. With a powerful sweep, he almost disarmed me, and victory seemed within his grasp.

But in that critical moment, a sudden surge of determination welled up within me. Drawing upon the last reserves of my magic, I unleashed a brilliant burst of energy, blinding the Sword Hero momentarily. Seizing this opportunity, I mustered all my remaining strength and launched a final, desperate strike, narrowly avoiding defeat and turning the tables in my favor.

Breathing heavily, I stood victorious over the unconscious Sword Hero. However, the plant magic I had used earlier was beginning to wither, its time running out. As the magical barriers weakened, the other barbarians started to break free. I, too exhausted to continue fighting, realized it had been an incredibly long and grueling day.

With exhaustion taking its toll, I tightened my grip on my sword, preparing to face the horde of barbarians alone. Just as I was about to charge, someone touched my shoulder and said, "Chief." Overwhelmed with relief, I exclaimed, "You're all f*cking late!" and allowed myself to sit down.

Suddenly, groups of vikings and wizards emerged on the battlefield, and another heavily armored giant hero appeared, providing us with a massive reinforcement. With a sense of immense relief, I finally allowed myself to drift into sleep, smiling as I lost consciousness, grateful that they had arrived in the nick of time.

Amidst my slumber, I was engulfed by the enchanting fragrance of flowers and the embrace of a remarkably soft pillow pressed against my face. It felt like a slice of heaven, but soon, I noticed a beautiful yet unfamiliar girl. She appeared strangely familiar, but I brushed it off as part of a dream. However, when I saw her smiling again, a sudden shock jolted me awake, and I realized it was the same girl. Startled, I swiftly roused myself from my sleep, trying to make sense of this unexpected encounter.

"Good morning, Chief," she greeted with that captivating smile, her seductive accent making her even more alluring. "You truly are a great chief, saving other villages." Then, she kissed me, and in that moment, I felt an intoxicating allure, as if I were becoming addicted to her presence.
