"I can make that promise," I said, my voice filled with relief I don't think that promise is a fair trade at all, "I promise that we will never attack you, but..."

"Calm down," I urged, raising my voice slightly to be heard over the commotion. "We've made a promise never to attack you, and I'll make another promise now. I'll do my best to help your town. You need assistance, and if this situation continues, more of your people will suffer and die."

The highest goblin leader spoke up, his voice filled with sincerity, "Yes, we do need help... desperately. The burden is heavy, and we truly need assistance." It was evident that the goblin leader was carrying a significant weight and was genuinely in need of help.
