Chapter 22: Duel Between Chief and the Sword Hero

The hero stands ready to fight back while I prepare my magic in both my hands. He swings his giant sword at me, but I dodge and counterattack with a fireball. He swings again, but I quickly dodge it and fire another fireball.

The hero initiates a powerful swing, but he feints and swings towards my spot failing to dodge it.Luckily, Just as his sword is about to strike me, I create a small magic force barrier. However, it still launches me far, causing me to vomit some blood.

The hero quickly swings before I can stand up, but I manage to dodge. He thrusts back at me again, but I evade once more. Then, he thrusts back again, but this time, using magic, I stop it from hitting me with a magical force, preventing myself from being thrust pushing it back to him. But the hero push the sword back to me strongly.

We engage in a battle to see who can push the sword back, a contest of both magic and strength. The enemy hero pushes the sword with all of their strength, while I use a significant amount of magic to force it back towards them. I emerge victorious, causing the sword to fly away from the battlefield.

The hero assumed a battle stance and began to throw punches at me. I dodged them, but suddenly, the hero grabbed my hands and threw me to the ground. Seems like a lots of bones broke down, blood gushed out on my mouth too.

Instead of finishing me off, he taunted me to stand. I struggled to rise and started firing magic fireballs at him, but he effortlessly deflected them as if they were mere drops of water. As he closed in on me, he grabbed my clothing and delivered a powerful punch to my face, sending me flying.

Then, I witnessed him retrieving his sword, which had been flung away, and sheathing it in his doublet. Instead of ending my life, he forcefully lifted my head, directing my gaze toward the war's devastation. It became evident that we were losing.

"Are you the leader of these Goblins?" the hero asked, disdain evident in his tone. "Look, you are losing, Your strong but seriously for these feeble Goblins, hahahah,"

Just as he pointed out, the situation was dire. Many Goblins had lost their lives, while only few Barbarians had fallen. Our Goblin soldiers were being ganged up, with the ordinary Goblins having no chance against the Barbarians.

The Enemy Giants were pushing back our allied Goblin Giants, and some had already fallen. The Angels in the distance have powerful heal, I had thought that hitting vital points would overwhelm their healing abilities, but it seemed challenging to our soldiers to land critical blows. It was becoming painfully clear that we were indeed losing.

In this agonizing moment, I summoned every ounce of strength within me, despite the overwhelming fatigue and the considerable loss of mana energy. It felt as though my body and soul were on the verge of breaking apart, but then a massive explosion erupted from within me. It appeared that I had reached level 3 in magic. However, my body refused to obey, and I found myself unable to stand and fight once more.

The Hero was launched back, but not too far. "Stop this futile fight and surrender, hahahah!" he taunted, drawing his sword from his doublet, preparing for his final move. I attempted to move, but my body refused to obey me.

Just as his sword was about to strike my neck, Something pierce through the enemy hero's sword, sending it soaring into the air. Then, a woman with a musket gun appeared and remarked, "So, this is our chief, huh?"
