And, we can now bring a successful close to the first book in Winter's Tale. We've met several of our main characters and gotten to know them. We've gained some insight into the game and their daily lives and routines. They've accomplished their first major accomplishment by captured their own little dungeon... It's a good place to conclude our 'introduction arc', and get ready to move on to... whatever comes next! (No spoilers. LOL!)
Book 1 is 115,350 words, in 70 chapters, and that gives us an average of 1,648 words per chapter -- for those folks who like to keep track of such statistics.
What comes next?
Like usual, whenever I finish any book, I like to take a few days to congratulate myself and to simply rest and enjoy the feeling.
Then, I like to take about a week or so to go back over the story and edit it, making corrections to grammar and syntax, and fleshing out any little areas and clarifying any scenes that seem to need it.
If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
After that, I try and wrap everything up in a nice epub/mobi format so people can enjoy it offline, and then I'll enjoy another small break before going back into the normal rotation of things.

If you haven't yet, now would be a good time to take a moment to rate the story, offer a review (or update an older one, if you have one that you did back around chapter 10 or something), and point out any problems or issues that you've seen or encountered anywhere.
Like usual, I hope everyone has enjoyed our ride getting here so far. I sincinerly hope you folks are all enjoying reading the story as much as I am in telling it. I personally find Winter's Tale to be lighthearted, fun, and just plain enjoyable for me. I hope you all find it the same.
For now though, I'm off for a while to simply bask in the enjoyment of saying, "This one's a keeper!" (At least, in my opinion, it is. ;) )
