Kyle almost died when Sera waltzed into his bedroom, just like always. Hands up, drying her hair in a towel, with the thin summer top that he’d torn clinging to her damp skin and fading to an almost transparency, with the light rainbow wrap tied loosely around her waist – it was enough to make Kyle cough, hack, and spew soda out his nose in shock! Coughing and hacking, Kyle’s eyes instantly watered up and his throat and nose burned as if they were on fire.
Casually, Sera walked over and thumped him on the back with one hand. “You OK? What the heck was that? Fizz up the nose?”
“Yeah. Something like that,” Kyle lied, as he stared at her damp creamy skin, which was no more than a few inches away from him. If the guys could see him now, they’d murder him!
“Well don’t snot in the bottle,” Sera reprimanded. Tossing the towel she was using to dry her hair into the corner, she took the bottle from him and tilted it up taking a large gulp from it before handing it back. “Any pizza left?” She asked Kyle, and then seeing there was, picked up another piece before sitting down on the edge of the bed beside him.
“Not now there isn’t,” Kyle muttered.
Sera simply laughed and held the piece she was eating over towards his face. “Want a bite?”
“No, I don’t want a bite,” Kyle answered peevishly. Just how the hell could she sit there, wearing that, and act so casually! It might not affect her any, but it was certainly getting to him! The idea was to put her in something he could tease her over and make her feel foolish, not the other way around! Leaning over, Kyle picked up his V-RIG helmet and held it in his lap carefully. “And just what did you want to talk about this evening, anyway? Don’t you need to be helping your dad out at the restaurant?”
Finishing her pizza, Sera took the bottle of soda back from Kyle and took another large drink before handing it back. Stretching, she laid back and began to relax on the bed. From her position, the torn top she was wearing was pulled up, revealing the smooth round curves of her breasts. Kyle simply stared, and Sera seemed not to notice at all. Both of them were lost in their own thoughts for several minutes, until Sera finally broke the silence.
“I was still irked at Father for last night,” Sera admitted, “so I didn’t stop by the shop this afternoon. Honestly though, I don’t think I’m going to work there any more in the evenings. I’m going to talk to Father and tell him that’s it’s finally time for him to hire some help for himself. He can’t rely on me all the time to be there.”
“You’re quitting?” Kyle was shocked. Sitting the soda down on the floor, he told her. “Scoot over. This sounds like something serious is going on.”
“Well not really.” Sera said as she wiggled across the bed, so Kyle could have room to stretch out beside her. As he did, she continued. “Maybe. I don’t know, really.” She sounded completely uncertain, which wasn’t like Sera at all usually!
“What’s up?” Kyle asked patiently, as he turned onto his side to stare at her. His instincts were telling him to enjoy the view, but he kept his eyes focused on hers to show he was paying attention and listening. He could always stare at her when she was sleeping and he came to wake her up in the mornings, after all.
“Do you think it’s wrong for me to stop working at the restaurant, just so I can play a game more?” Sera asked as she turned over to face him. The tattered top she was wearing rode up and bunched at her neck, revealing everything, but neither of them payed it much attention at the moment.
Kyle was silent for a few moments, so he could think it over. His first instinct was to say, ‘Hell no! Play with me more!’, but he wanted to give her a truthful answer since she was being serious. Finally, he shrugged his shoulders slightly. “I honestly don’t know,” he finally told her. “I don’t think it’s a good thing if people let a game come between them and their real life. Lots of folks end up getting lost in those games, and almost forget about the real world. Their friends. Family. It’d definitely be bad to let that happen.”
Now it was Sera’s turn to be quiet and think about what he’d said. “So, you don’t think I should quit work,” she finally asked.
“I didn’t say that,” Kyle replied. “I said that you shouldn’t let a game rip apart the connections you have with your family. Why are you wanting to play Winter’s Tale so much anyway? You’re not usually that into games.”
“Honestly, I just enjoyed the time with everyone. I’m often so busy with school and then work afterwards, I don’t have time to spend with club activities or anything like that, with everyone. This last weekend was the most fun I’d had in ages, and I got to spend time with people my own age. Got to do things with them. With you. I’ve only got a few years of school left to be with everyone. I don’t want to let that go, either.”
“Then I guess you’re just screwed,” Kyle laughed. “You want to play, so you can spend time with friends and strengthen your connection with them. Doing so will mean less time with your family though, and might strain those connections. It’s one of those damned if you do, damned if you don’t type situations. Work at the shop, and I’m certain everyone will regret not seeing you around much. Especially as we all start to level up. Play the game though, and I’m certain your father is going to miss you.
“No matter what,” Kyle told her gently, “you’re going to disappoint someone. It’s got to be your call in the long run, but all I can promise you is one thing.”
“What’s that?” Sera asked.
“That no matter what, you’ll always have me. In game. Out of game. Whatever. I’ll be here. Always. If you want to spend time with your father and help him, that’s fine. If we start to out level you, I’ll find some way to help PL you. Or else I’ll just sit and craft or do something until you catch up. I know if my father was around, I’d want to spend time with him instead of in a game. You do what you need to do – whatever you want to do – and I’ll be here no matter what to help you with whatever you decide.”

A few tears welled up in Sera’s eyes and she leaned forward and hugged him tightly. It was at this point, when Kyle finally noticed the warm, bare skin that pressed up so tightly against his chest. Temptation getting the best of him, he eased his hands down and under the opening in the side of the wrap around to squeeze Sera’s soft, full, round buttocks soundly. Laughing lightly, Sera leaned up, head butted him across and nose and wiggled away so she could sit up in the bed. “Quit that,” she told him with a small grin on her face.
“Owww.” Kyle sat up, and sat cross-legged in the bed. “That was mean,” he complained while massaging his nose.
“And so was playing with my tush!” Sera giggled and stuck her tongue out at him. “I’ll think on what we talked about, and I’ll talk it over with Father later and see what he says too. I might not quit at the restaurant. I might drop back to only working part time. Think that’d be OK?”
“I think I’ll be here, no matter what you decide,” Kyle reemphasized.
“Well fine!” Sera laughed lightly. “Then onto the next order of business! Tell me how things went with the guys at lunch!”
“Weird,” Kyle told her honestly as he let his eyes indulge in staring shamelessly at her now. The serious talk was over, and he could ravish her with his eyes as much as they desired – and he was going to! Fighting back the impulse to cackle evilly again, Kyle just smiled. “They know you’re Seran,” he admitted. “I’m not supposed to tell you, but that’s OK. Just don’t let them know that you know. They’re going to keep playing along just like before, until you decide to tell them.”
Sera giggled lightly. “So everyone knows besides Heather! That’s funny! I wonder how long we can keep it from her?”
“I dunno.” Kyle shrugged. “Maybe for a long time, since everyone would be in on it. Are you certain you want to do that to her though? She keeps sending me all sorts of private messages. What if she sends me something personal about you two?”
Sera just shrugged and Kyle stared as the top rose up showing almost all of her chest. “I think it might be good for her, to be honest,” Sera said. “She’s so against guys. Thinks all of you are just worms, bugs, roaches, or rats. Maybe being able to talk to one in a game might help her loosen up some when she finally learns the truth.”
“Or make her hate us even more,” Kyle warned.
“I won’t let that happen,” Sera promised. “When she finds out, I’ll tell her I made you guys go along with me on it. She won’t get mad at me, and if she does, she’ll forgive me. I’ll just go spend a night at her house and blow in her ear a few times and tickle her stomach, and it’ll all be better.”
“And what about our revenge?” Sera asked, changing the subject before Kyle could start fully imagining her and Heather in a bed together blowing in each other’s ears and tickling one another. Oh, he was going to have an interesting dream tonight!
“We didn’t get to talk about a lot at lunch; everyone was mad at me for pretending to be you over the weekend and not telling them what was going on. By the time all that was sorted out, the lunch bell had rung and I had a few moments to tell them what we needed. Jason’s got the papers we got from the priest and he’s scanning those in to make copies tonight. William is going to the courthouse to get us some public licenses so we can copy the seal or whatever it is, and maybe detention.”
“Detention?” Sera interrupted, curiously.
“Yeah. I’m not certain if he waited until after school to go or not. He’s a little odd like that sometimes,” Kyle admitted. “But, he’ll get them for us.”
“Tomorrow, I can hand them to Jason and get him to scan them and add them to our copies. Then all Heather has to do is write them up and Darryl can take them and drop them off in the post office for us. It’s all coming together nicely,” Kyle said with a smirk. “By this time tomorrow, we’ll have our revenge! Or at least, it’ll be in the mail, by then!”
Sera giggled lightly. “Wonderful! Then, do you want to play with me?”
“Uhhh…” Kyle’s mind went blank. “Sure!” Reaching out both hands towards her breasts, drool almost fell from his lips. “Mu ha ha haaha..”, he started to chuckle slightly to himself in his evil warlord laugh.
Sha-Whack!! Sera slapped his hands before they ever got to her. “I meant play the game with me, dufus!”
“Oh. Oh.. Oh!” Kyle blushed from top to bottom. “Sorry!”
“Geeze! Get a grip on yourself,” Sera laughed as she crawled across the bed. Once she was up, she turned and sauntered on out the door, wiggling her hips in an exaggerated manner as she left. “I’m going to borrow that thick overcoat of yours, and I’ll see you in game in a few moments,” she yelled.
“Sure. Whatever.” Kyle yelled back, disappointed.
“Oh. You can have these back,” Sera shouted as a thin ripped shirt and rainbow wrap fluttered into the room from being tossed in from outside. The sound of laughter and bare feet could be here stomping down the steps in a mad hurry. By the time Kyle had bounced up from his bed and made it out of his room, she was already gone.
“Just why the hell does she get to streak in my house, and no one see her?!” Kyle pouted.
