Maahi and Sam intervened to prevent the altercation between Rehaan and Tevin. Maahi restrained Rehaan while Sam positioned himself next to Tevin.
"Let's not fight, let's talk it out," Maahi urged.
Rehaan turned to Maahi. "Maahi," he called out. "Did you and Sam conspire against us?"
"I'm sorry, brother. I knew about the situation between you two. I just want to help reconcile things," she explained.
"Who informed you about our issues?" Rehaan inquired.
"I overheard your conversation with mother yesterday," she clarified.
"Maahi, I never scolded you, but that doesn't mean you can interfere whenever you want," Rehaan expressed uncomfortably.
"I apologize, brother. But could you both please consider talking to each other for my sake?"
He glances at Tevin and reassures Maahi, "It's not going to happen." He then takes Maahi's hand firmly. "Time to head back," he said with frustration evident in his voice.
Maahi found herself in a tricky situation. She didn't want any bad blood between them. So, she gently removed his hands and walked over to Sam, intertwining their fingers.
"Brother, we're in a relationship," she declared confidently, even though it was a complete lie.
"What?!" Rehaan, Tevin, and Sam exclaimed in unison. Sam was taken aback by Maahi's sudden move and was caught off guard by her lie.

Maahi signaled for Sam to play along, while Rehaan looked utterly confused.
"Isn't that right, Sam? Confirm it," she demanded, shooting him a fierce look.
"Uh... yes," Sam stammered. "Yes, we decided to start dating."
"When? You just met yesterday. Don't try to fool us," Rehaan interjected.
"Brother, do you really think I would do something like that? Absolutely not," Maahi defended herself."Wait...then what about tricking us to come here?". Tevin asks.
"Haha, it's because," Sam says, pausing for a moment to gather his thoughts. He stumbles over his words, trying to explain the situation. "You see, Tevin, you're my friend and I'm dating Maahi. We just don't want things to be awkward between you two, that's all," he finally manages to say.
Maahi approaches Rehaan, holding his hands and pleading with him. "Brother, please trust me," she says earnestly.
Tevin smiles and glances at Sam. Leaning in closer, he whispers in Sam's ear, "Sam, I know you two aren't really dating, but you're just trying to make us believe it." Sam looks at Tevin and starts to play it cool. "Don't worry, I won't expose you," he says with a smile, patting Tevin on the shoulder.
"Thanks, buddy," Sam says gratefully.
"Guys, my brother is okay with it. Now Sam and I will go buy something to eat. You two just stay here and don't fight, alright?" Maahi adds.
Rehaan nods. "Don't take too long. Come back quickly," he says.
Sam and Maahi head off to buy food, while Rehaan looks at Tevin suspiciously. Tevin avoids making eye contact.
"They do make a cute couple, don't they?" Tevin remarks without looking at Rehaan.
"Tevin, don't try to act smart. I know Maahi is lying," Rehaan says.
Tevin looks at Rehaan, a bit surprised. "How did you figure it out?"
Rehaan chuckles. "It's pretty obvious that my sister doesn't want us to fight. She's your biggest fan. She can't stand it when someone dislikes her idol. And I know you've figured that out too. Besides, my sister isn't the best at lying."
"Alright, so what's the game plan?" Tevin inquires.
"I just want to make Maahi feel better. I'll go along with her scheme."
"Playing nice with me?"
"Only when we're around my sister. Otherwise, steer clear of me."
"Got it, Rehaan. Your wish is my command," Tevin replies with a smile.
That day marked the reunion of Rehaan and Tevin after a while. Although their get-together was primarily to make Maahi happy...
