"What's happen?" I inquire.
"My father instructed me to pursue *B.Ed. after finishing my degree," he explained with a sigh.
"But I thought you wanted to attend music college instead, didn't you mention that to him?"
"I did, and I tried to persuade him," he replied, rolling up his sleeve to reveal a wound on his arm. "This is the result." Tevin rolled his eyes.
I reach out and hold his hand gently, concern evident in my voice.
"What's wrong, Tevin? Did your father beat you?" He meets my gaze but remains silent.
Worried, I ask again, "Tevin, are you alright?"
Tears well up in his eyes as he looks at me. Without hesitation, he moves closer and embraces me tightly, seeking comfort. It's a side of him I've never seen before, and it breaks my heart. Knowing his family's strict nature, I can't bear to see him like this.
"Rehaan, I feel so lost and helpless," Tevin admits, his voice filled with disappointment.
I respond with empathy, "I understand that it's incredibly tough, Tevin, but you have to stay strong". He nods, acknowledging my words.
"Tevin, do you want my help? I can talk with your father," I offer.
"Not at the moment. I'm already exhausted. All I want is to rest for now," Tevin replies.
"In that case, would you like to lie down on the bed?" I inquire.
"Rehaan...let me stay like this for a while," he says, embracing me even tighter.

"Hmm," I nod, gently patting his head.
After some time, he releases his grip on me and sits up straight.
"Are you feeling better now? Should I get you some water?" I ask, expressing concern.
"No, I'm not thirsty," he responds.
"Alright. But if you feel like it, you can take some time to rest," I suggest.
"Rehaan...don't you have any questions for me?" Tevin asks, taking a deep breath.
"You would have let me know if it was okay" I smile and hold his right hand "I understand that you may not feel comfortable sharing everything with me, but please know that I am here for you no matter what, I promise"
He sits facing me. "My father slapped me on my face yesterday when I said I want to follow my dreams. And my dream is to become a singer," he said, pointing to the wound on his hand. "But this arm injury was not intentional. It happened when he found out from my teacher that I still take the car to college even after he warned me, so he got extremely angry and pushed me hard, causing me to hit the table and get this injury."
"Did you apply medicine?"
"Yes, I have. Don't worry."
"Tevin, do you want to stay here today?"
"No, Rehaan, if I don't go home today, it will be a big problem," he said.
I couldn't force him, as I don't know what his parents are like. He left soon after telling me that. I lay on my bed, thinking about Tevin. My mother came into my room and sat beside me. I sat up.
"Rehaan, are you sleeping, son?" she asked.
"No, mother, what's wrong?"
"Nothing, you looked worried, so I came to ask if everything is alright."
"Yes, mother, but I was just a little worried about Tevin."
"What happened to him?"
"Just a small issue with his family, that's all".
She gazes at me. "Don't worry, son. Everything will work out in the end."
"Yes, mom. I really hope so."
"Rehaan..."
"Yeah?"
"Is that Tevin?" she inquires.
"What do you mean, mom?" I replied, puzzled.
"The one you're in love with, is it Tevin...
