"Tevin, the one I have feelings for, is...a boy." he glanced at me.
"Alright, don't tell me now. Let me know when you're ready. I hope he's a great guy."
"Yes, he's the absolute best."
"Is he better than me?" he inquires.
I gaze at him. He's eagerly awaiting my response. "Absolutely, without a doubt."
He nibbles on his lip. "Well, I don't care." he walks away.
I grin and grab onto his shoulder.
"Are you feeling jealous?" I inquire.
"No, I'm not."
"Aww...you're so jealous," I tease, flashing a smile. We stroll together towards our class, and he keeps asking me who's the best. I reply, saying it's the person I love, but little does he know it's him. That day holds a special place in my heart, the day he stood up for me and made me feel alright. I can still feel the warmth of his hand.
Soon, the second-year exams arrive, and we're on our way to third year. During that time, Tevin introduces me to his new girlfriend, Tia. She's a first-year student from the English department. He tells me that she's the one he's seriously dating. I try to keep my expression normal and wish them the best. It's bittersweet for me, as I'm sad but also happy that he's finally taking relationships seriously. With the exams approaching, I become busy with studying, having a lot on my plate.

On the day of the exam, after we finished, all the students were busy making plans for the vacation. Tevin and I were sitting on the marble chair in front of the college.
"So, what's your plan, Rehaan?" Tevin asked.
"Nothing in particular. I just need to visit some family members and maybe spend the rest of the time with my family. My sister is coming home this vacation from boarding school," I replied.
"Oh, Maahi! I've never met her in person. Has she been staying there for a long time?" Tevin inquired.
"Yes, she was upset when we sent her to boarding school. So, she refused to come here. But my father already mentioned that after she completes her 10th grade, she will join a nearby school for higher secondary education," I explained.
"That's good to hear," Tevin said.
"What about you, Tevin? What are your plans for today?" I asked.
"I... haven't decided yet," Tevin replied.
"Do you want to come to my house?" I offered.
"Me?" Tevin seemed surprised.
"Yes, you only came once before. If you want to come, you're always welcome," I assured him.
"Are you sure? Is that a good idea?" Tevin hesitated.
"If not, I wouldn't have bothered asking you."
"Alright then, let's get moving."
"Right now? Don't you want to hang around here a bit longer?"
"Nah, it's dull."
"Hmm." I reply and start walking with Tevin. As I glance to the side, I notice Tia. I halt Tevin in his tracks.
"Tevin, Tia is looking at you"
"So what?" he retorts.
"Don't you want to have a chat with her?"
"Nah, we're no longer together," he states and continues walking.
"What?!"
