I inquired after a long pause, "What on earth are you saying?"

He responded with a smirk, "Oh, just joking. Isn't it strange to love a man?"

I was exasperated, "Strange? How so?"

He retorted, "I was just sharing my opinion. Is that not allowed?"

"Loving someone genuinely is what truly matters. But you wouldn't comprehend, Tevin. Have you ever loved someone sincerely in your life? Then who are you to pass judgment?"

"Why are you getting so emotional, Rehaan? Why argue about such a distasteful topic?"

"Distasteful? Seriously? You know what, Tevin, I'm tired of your narrow-mindedness. If you're unaware that a man can love another man, that's fine. Educate yourself. Don't label it as disgusting when you can't grasp the concept of love."

I was filled with anger as I grabbed my bag and walked away. I could feel his confused gaze upon me, but I couldn't care less about what he was thinking. What truly worried me was the possibility of him discovering my love for him one day. The mere thought of it made me cry, and I couldn't stop the tears from flowing. I had reached my breaking point. Unrequited love seemed to be a common theme in this world, and I found myself longing to be a part of that list.

The following day, I decided to sit in a different seat. He appeared indifferent and unaffected by my choice of location. However, the pain inside me was still very real. In the afternoon, I found myself sitting at a marble table outside the college. Suddenly, I heard commotion coming from the canteen. Without hesitation, I rushed over to see what was happening. It turned out to be a small fight between our college students and those from a nearby college. I positioned myself in the middle and tried to mediate.

"Here comes a hero. What do you have to say now?" One of the scumbags taunted.

"I don't want a fight. I don't like it either. Just give the money and leave," I replied.

"Money for this terrible food? No way," the scumbag retorted.

"You already ate the terrible food. Now shut up and hand over the money," I demanded.

"Why are you arguing like this? Is this your father's canteen, you jerk?" the scumbag challenged.

I glared at him angrily and muttered, "You're such a pain in the neck." I clenched my fist and punched him in the face, causing him to fall to the ground. As he looked up at me with rage in his eyes, I prepared to strike again.

"You son of a bitch," he growled, getting up to retaliate. He raised his hand to hit me, but just then, someone pushed me back and stood in front of me, taking the blow instead. I stared at the person in disbelief. It was...
