Rehaan struggled to find the right words to respond.
Maahi turned to him and asked, "Do you two know each other?"
Rehaan quickly replied, "No, I don't know him."
Despite Tevin calling him brother, Rehaan insisted, "He must have mistaken me for someone else." Ignoring Tevin, he turned to Sam and said, "Let's leave now. I hope you won't bother her again."
He then turned to Maahi and said, "Let's go."
Maahi stopped him, saying, "Wait, we need to discuss this matter."
Caught off guard by Tevin's presence, Rehaan forgot the reason for their visit. "Let's just wrap this up."
Maahi glanced at Sam, her eyes filled with confusion. "Senior, I swear I didn't send you any text," she insisted.
Sam looked at her incredulously. "What do you mean? You've been texting me for almost three months," he replied, pulling out his phone to show her their chat history.
As Maahi scrolled through the messages, Rehaan joined them. "Wait, I didn't send these messages," she exclaimed, her gaze shifting towards Rehaan. "Something is definitely wrong, brother."
Her hands trembled with anxiety as she tried to make sense of the situation. "Wait, it's my number, but I didn't send you any of these messages," Maahi said, showing her phone to Sam. There was no evidence of any message she had supposedly sent.
"I'm not lying, Maahi. You gave me your number yourself," Sam insisted.
Maahi turned to Rehaan, seeking his support. "Brother, I don't understand what's happening. I swear, I didn't do any of this," she said, her voice filled with panic.
Rehaan gently held her hands and comforted her. "Maahi, calm down. I know you well enough to know you wouldn't do something like this. Let me handle it. Don't worry, your brother is here for you."

Tevin's attention was fully on Rehaan.
"Something is off, Sam. My sister said she's being followed by someone. She was scared and confided in me. The guy's name was Sam too. We thought it was the same person who's been messaging her, but turns out it's a different Sam. I'm confused now." Tevin looks at Maahi and then back at Sam. "So, you're not a stalker. We're not looking for you."
Tevin turns to Maahi and interjects, "I hate to interrupt, Maahi, but there seems to be a big misunderstanding here. He's not a stalker. He came because you texted him, saying you liked him," he explains.
"Wait, what? Like him? No way," Maahi exclaims.
"Wait, let me explain," Sam interrupts Maahi. "I've had a crush on her ever since college. I used to always admire her from afar. But then, I witnessed her rejecting a guy and saying she wasn't interested in love. So, I decided to move on and honestly, I completely forgot about her after college. But then, out of the blue, I received a text from Maahi's number about 6 months ago. I was surprised, to say the least. And not long after that, she confessed her love for me. It felt like destiny, so I told her I felt the same way. We started chatting frequently, but her messages were confusing and flirty. She even said some things that made me uncomfortable at first. I was certain that the Maahi I knew wouldn't talk like that, which is why I asked her to meet me at the cafe." Sam explains.
Maahi takes her phone and shows Sam the chat. "See, I never sent you a single message.."
"How is that possible?" Sam questions.
"Sam, can you show me the chat again?" Rehaan asks.
Sam hands his phone to Rehaan. "The way this person chats doesn't seem like Maahi, but the number is the same." After pondering for a moment, Rehaan turns to Maahi. "Maahi, did any of your friends play with your phone?"
"No, brother. You know I never give my phone to anyone."
Maahi, do you have any enemies? I mean, do you have issues with anyone?" Rehaan, her brother, inquires.
"No, I don't," Maahi responds after giving it some thought.
"Are you sure? There was no issue at college," Rehaan asks again for clarification.
"Maahi, the raging issue," Sam informs her.
"Raging issue? What was that about, Maahi?" Rehaan questions.
"That was during my first year in college. The issue was with a senior who tried to rag me, but I scolded him because ragging was not allowed. I complained to the principal and he was punished. However, he later apologized to me," Maahi explains.
"Maahi, Who was that senior?" Rehaan asks.
"Kiran," Maahi replies.
"Kiran is my junior. The incident she mentioned, I was the one who helped her file the complaint," Sam reveals.
Rehaan looks at Sam. "I think someone has hacked Maahi's phone."
