Chapter 32.3 : Questions

Chapter 32.3 : Questions

In just a fraction of a second, Emily's kick flew through the air at a speed far beyond that of a normal human kick, causing a small breeze.

Sadly for Emily though, just a fraction of a second before her kick connected to the head of the woman, the latter suddenly moved it, dodging it.

Furthermore, since the woman had dodged the kick at the very last moment, Emily had no chance to change her trajectory, thus, her kick was fated to miss its mark.

At that very moment though, the location of Emily's leg suddenly became vague, seemingly distorted, and as if by miracle, the kick connected right onto the side of the woman's head.

If it was dealt with full force, a kick to the head by a normal, untrained person could probably kill someone.

Furthermore, if it was someone who exercised their leg's regularly, their kick would have even more force, their kicks would be even more lethal.

But compared to Emily's kicks, both of the first two categories were puny in comparison.

Ever since she had begun training at the age of 7, and began becoming much, much stronger, as long as Emily's kicks connected with someone's head, not only would that person die, their heads would explode is a mesh of blood.

Even after Emily became a pirate, and began fighting other pirates as well as marines, this still held true, but at this moment, this law was broken.

The instant Emily's kick connected to the head of the woman, nothing changed.

'Her kick is a lot stronger than that of a normal human... And a bit weird...'

Things only changed a moment later, as the woman suddenly sent out a kick of her own right into Emily's stomach, sending her flying right into a nearby tree.

...

As she walked up to the woman who had just fallen to the ground next to the tree, Diana couldn't help but begin speaking in a somewhat rough Japanese.

"Don't play dead, I know how much force I used, I need you to answer some questions for me, then maybe I can let you go," said Diana as she bent down and grabbed the hair of the woman, lifting her head off the ground, causing the latter's eyes to suddenly pop open.

Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.

"I understand I understand, just let go off my hair!!" said the woman, causing Diana to suddenly let go, causing the woman to fall face-first into the ground, making her fall silent.

...

As she looked at the woman standing in front of her, who was currently tidying her hair up a little bit, Diana couldn't help but let out a faint sigh.

"What year is it?" asked Diana in her Japanese, which actually got a bit better than it was a few seconds ago.

"Right now it's August 7th 1521," said the woman with a thoughtful look on her face, causing Diana to fall into thought for a few moments before asking her next question.

"Where are we at right now?"

"Right now, we're on an unnamed island in the South-West corner of North Blue," said the woman, causing Diana to fall even further into thought.

'North Blue? The fact that this isn't Earth is almost confirmed...' thought Diana as she raised her eyes and stared at the woman in front of her, who was just a bit shorter than her.

"Who are you?" asked Diana, causing the woman to appear faintly surprised for a brief moment, before a proud look appeared on her face.

"I'm 'Storm' Emily, Captain of the Storm Pirate Crew, Bounty of 5 Million Berries," said the woman, who Diana now knew was named Emily, since the latter had not lied to her.

'Pirate? Could prove useful...' thought Diana, as she stared at the woman since the strength of this 'Storm' Emily was so high, it made sense for her to become a pirate.

"So... 'Storm' Emily, what kind of maps do you have..."

...

As she looked at the woman who had just beaten her up not too long ago, and was currently sitting in her cabin, looking at three different maps, Emily, who had gotten herself dressed not too long ago, couldn't help but clench her teeth.

Diana of course pain no attention to this, as all of her attention was on the three maps in front of her.

The first was a treasure map, which showed the local area of an around three islands, as well as this 'treasure', which was located on the very island Diana was just on.

The second map was both larger, and less detailed than the first one, showing the entirety of the 'North Blue'.

But even so, only a few islands on this map were actually named, with the most prominent of them being Minion Island, Rubeck Island and Swallow Island.

Other than them, only a few other islands actually had any sort of names.

As for the final map?

It was even worse than this, and actually did not have any sort of island depicted on it.

Instead, all the things depicted on the last map were North, East, West and South Blue, which were most likely oceans, alongside a place called the 'Grand Line'.

'I shouldn't have expected much from a small-time pirate...' thought Diana as she got up from her seat and grabbed the first map.

"Vice-Captain Emily, let's go, we need to get the treasure," said Diana after getting up from her seat, before beginning to walk out of the room.

At this moment, the face of Emily, who had still been in thought up until now, froze, even as Diana walked to the door of the room.

It was only after Diana reached the doorway and stopped to turn back and look at her did Emily finally react.

As she remembered the ease with which this woman defeated her, as well as how she was completely unharmed even after taking her most powerful kick straight to the temple, Emily finally nodded her head.

"Yes Captain..."

"Diana."

"Yes Captain Diana."
