Sadly for Diana though, although Jotaro clearly heard her provocation, he didn't respond in the slightest, merely continuing to walk behind her, swallowing his anger.
Noticing this, a faint smile appeared on Diana's face, as if she was enjoying provoking Jotaro.
"Sorry, I didn't know that you were mute," mumbled Diana as she touched the side of her head, an embarrassed look appearing on her face.
Seeing this, veins couldn't help but appear on Jotaro's forehead, as more and more anger built up inside of him.
Suddenly, Diana's eyes suddenly widened, as some anger appeared on her face
"You should call your grandfather and tell him to not cause any trouble, after all, even though I'm not inside of the hotel, I still have my eyes on that place, you wouldn't want it to blow up, would you?" said Diana as she turned back and stared at Jotaro.
Hearing the words of the woman, Jotaro's eyes slightly narrowed, especially as he heard the last part 'You wouldn't want it to blow, would you?'.
But after a brief moment of hesitation, Jotaro took out his cell phone from his pocket and began looking through it.
'I gotta make sure that old man doesn't do anything that would put other people's lives in danger,' thought Jotaro.
...
As he stared at the number written in the phone book in front of him, Joseph slowly but surely began dialing it on the phone present in the room.
081...
But only a few moments after Joseph had begun dialing in the number, the phone suddenly began ringing, causing Joseph to suddenly frown.
Of course, after a moment Joseph picked up the phone.
"Who is it?" asked Joseph as soon as he picked up the phone, ready to quickly go back to what he had been doing.
"It's me Jotaro," said the voice which emerged from the other side of the phone, causing Joseph's eyes to widen.
"Did something happen again?!" asked Joseph, as sweat began falling on his forehead.
Hearing the voice of his grandfather, which had become both full of energy, as well as much louder than before, some surprise appeared on Jotaro's face.
If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.
Although it couldn't be compared to his state back when Jotaro had first met him, Joseph was clearly feeling better than before.
"Nothing's going on here, but were you just about to do something?" asked Jotaro as he looked at the figure in front of him, who was still smiling at him.
"I was... just about to call Josuke's home number," said Joseph, causing Jotaro to faintly frown.
"It's best if you don't do that, it looks as though she doesn't like you doing that, we can't risk it," said Jotaro, causing Joseph to frown.
"Did she say something about me contacting the outside world before you began following her? I can't remember her doing that," said Joseph as his frown deepened, although he knew almost nothing about the morals of this enemy of theirs, Joseph had seen something in her, something he had seen in DIO back then.
Pride
This was the reason why Jotaro decided to follow her in the first place, as he knew that if he were to follow her, she would most likely not detonate the bomb, even if just because of the fact that she had put her pride on the line for this deal.
As such, Joseph didn't think that she would change it.
"She did mention something similar," mumbled Jotaro, causing Joseph to nod.
"I understand, I can't take a step outside of my room and I can't contact the outside world, is that right?" asked Joseph, causing Jotaro to appear somewhat confused when suddenly, a voice sounded from in front of him.
"That's right," said Diana as she looked at the conversation behind her with a faint smile on her face.
As she and Jotaro had already come pretty close to her destination, Diana felt no need to try to do anything else, as such she just spelled out the contents of their deal to Joseph.
"That's right," said the voice of Jotaro, emerging from the other side of the phone.
"I understand," mumbled Joseph before hanging up the phone.
...
Step by step, Diana and Jotaro continued walking, eventually reaching the steepest part of the hill.
Looking at Jotaro, who had become tenser and tenser, a faint smile appeared on Diana's face.
"You don't seem like someone who fears death, so what are you afraid of right now?" asked Diana as she looked at Jotaro with that same tiny cocky smile on her face.
"If it's about your friends in Morioh, you don't have to worry, I don't plan on staying in this accursed town any longer, If things go to plan, I will be out of here in thirty minutes, and on a plane to vacation," said Diana, causing Jotaro's lips to slightly twitch.
"If it's about that daughter of yours, you also don't have to worry, I'm only interested in you, so as long as she doesn't try to emulate me and avenge her father, I will have no issue with her," said Diana as she moved her fingers suggestively.
Hearing this woman mention his daughter, Jotaro's eyes suddenly became bloodshot, as Star Platinum appeared behind him.
This was the culmination of their several-minute journey, as well as the ruthless provocation that Diana had constantly bombarded Jotaro with.
A few moments after that though, Jotaro retracted Star Platinum, his momentary anger fading away.
Although he would never, in any world admit it, at this moment fter studying this woman's personality and comparing it to DIO's, Jotaro rather trusted her word, as he knew that she had no reason to lie to him.
Suddenly, Diana stopped, causing Jotaro to suddenly stop.
Without any warning, Diana suddenly punched the stone wall next to her, causing the thin rock to collapse and reveal an entrance.
"Let's go, wouldn't want us to still be outside when your grandfather defuses those bombs," said Diana before walking into the cave entrance.
After a faint moment of hesitation, Jotaro followed her, entering the cave after about twenty seconds.
