Chapter 10.1 : Impending

"Is everything alright at school?" asked Oshima Kiyoshi as looked at his daughter, who was peacefully eating breakfast.

"Everything's going great, although the year began not long ago, I'm still familiar with some of my classmates," said Oshima Akira as she took a bite out of the grilled fish.

"That's good," mumbled Kiyoshi as he turned his attention back to his food, no longer wanting to disturb his daughter whilst she ate.

Time slowly passed as Oshima Kiyoshi and his daughter ate their food.

After a few minutes, Kiyoshi got up from the table and picked up his plate, placing it into the sink.

"I have to go, your lunchbox is in the fridge, make sure to not forget it," said Kiyoshi as he hurriedly put on his shoes and walked out of the house.

"Goodbye, good luck at work," said Akira as she took another bite of the fish, almost finishing it.

"Goodbye, make sure to study well at school," said Kiyoshi as he closed the door behind him, leaving only one living being in the house.

The moment Kiyoshi closed the door behind him, the atmosphere in the house suddenly shifted, becoming much colder in an instant.

"Close the windows," mumbled Oshima Shigeko, who was lazily sleeping on the couch, failing to even wake up.

After she took another look at her 'mother', who was sleeping on the couch Akira shook her head, causing the gloomy atmosphere to disappear.

A few minutes later, Akira finally finished eating, as she then got up from the table and carefully placed her plate into the sink, for her father to clean up once he got back home from work.

Only then did Akira open the fridge and take out her lunchbox before opening the door and walking out.

"Poor thing," mumbled Akira as she walked out of the house.

It was unsure who Akira was talking about right now, Oshima Kiyoshi, Oshima Shigeko, or 'herself' 'Oshima Akira'.

...

After leaving the house, Oshima Akira walked for around half a minute before disappearing into an alley.

The moment Akira entered the alley and made sure that nobody had followed her, she took out the lunchbox from her backpack and poured it's contents into a trashcan, as she fell into thought.

'I don't have much time left, if Joraro Joestar and his group manage to find Yoshikage Kira, they will turn all of their attention to me, and by that time, helpers from the Speedwagon foundation will have arrived,' thought Diana as she placed the now empty lunchbox back into her backpack.

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

'Even though they might be useless, them having so many cannon fodder would be troublesome,' thought Diana as she closed her backpack and began leisurely walking out of the alley.

'I can't delay things for too much longer, otherwise, my opportunity to kill Jotaro Joestar without losing my life as well may pass, so fleeing Morioh right now is not an option, especially since I have shown myself,' thought Diana as she walked out into the sunny street, causing a faint frown to appear on her face.

After a few moments of hesitation, Diana finally decided on her next course of action.

'Although I couldn't convince him, it shouldn't become too weak if I do it this way, it may still be useful,' thought Diana as she began walking towards the Bodogoaka High School, needing to swiftly do something in there, before Josuke arrived.

Looking at his literature teacher, who had just sat down on his seat, Koichi couldn't help but place his head down on his desk, feeling extremely bored.

After a few moments, the teacher opened the class register and began speaking.

"Oba Ryoko"

"Present," said a girl who sat near the front of the class.

"Sakai Daisuke"

"Present," said a boy from the back of the class.

"Koichi Hirose," said the teacher, causing Koichi to raise his head up from the desk.

"Present," said Koichi causing the teacher to nod before turning to the next name on the list.

...

"Hokama Shuji"

After a brief silence, the teacher shook his head.

"Absent," said the teacher as he wrote down something into the register.

Adachi Satoru

Arima Hikaru

Nakajima Kazuki

...

The teacher called out name after name, eventually landing on the name of a certain student.

"Oshima Akira," said the teacher, causing an eerie silence to appear in the room.

"Absent," said the teacher as he continued on, causing a rather confused look to appear on Koichi's face.

Although the school year had begun not long ago, and Koichi wasn't really that familiar with some of his classmates, he was really familiar with Oshima Akira.

After all, although the two didn't interact much, or even at all, they were in the same class for three years of middle school.

And in all these years, Akira had only missed a few days of school, sometimes not even missing a single day in a year.

After high school began, it seemed as though this trend had continued, as Koichi had not seen Akira be absent once since the start of the year.

Of course, although this somewhat piquet Koichi's attention for some time, he soon forgot about it.

...

The next day.

"Oshima Akira"

"Absent"

Hearing the words of the teacher, Koichi slightly narrowed his eyes.

'Did something happen to her?' thought Koichi as he looked at the teacher.

...

The next day.

"She didn't get into a car accident, did so?" mumbled Koichi as he looked at the empty seat in a corner of the classroom, a weird but eerie feeling emerging within him.

...

The next day.

"If she doesn't come tomorrow then I will have to investigate," mumbled Koichi as he looked at the empty seat, feeling weirder and weirder, as if something was about to happen.

...

The next day.

As he walked out of the school, just as he was about to go home and investigate Oshima Akira, Koichi suddenly froze as he looked at the two figures who were walking in the distance.

After a moment of thought, Koichi began sprinting toward the figures, approaching them at a high speed.

"Akira, is that you?" asked Koichi as he looked at the short girl who was walking beside a blond man with a black umbrella over his head as a hand in his pocket.

Hearing Koichi's words, Oshima Akira, who was walking down the street, suddenly stopped and look at Koichi, some surprise appearing on her face as she stared at him.

"Oh, it's Koichi, nice to meet you, did something happen?" asked Akira.

Just as Koichi was about to respond, a middle-aged woman walked past them.

"Hello Mr. Yoshikage, hopefully you have a good day," said the woman before walking on as if nothing had happened.

"Thank you," said the blond man in a rather weird tone as he slightly moved his umbrella, seemingly shielding himself from the sun, causing Koichi to suddenly freeze.
