Chapter 30.1 : Annoyance

Chapter 30.1 : Annoyance

Not too long after Diana defeated the monster, the body of the monster was sent to a certain military base in a desolate part of Siberia.

On that same night, Dr. Mikhail Alexandrovich Volkov, who had lost all of his skin, was asked to go to the same military base at the request of Diana, to study the remains of the monster

Of course, Diana did not have to persuade the old doctor very much, as just the idea of studying a monster like that caused him to fly to the military base in a middle of the night, and instantly begin his research upon arriving.

The very next day,

...

As she looked at the weird phone in her hands, which her subordinates had gotten for her this morning, Diana couldn't help but let out a quiet sigh.

After taking another look at the cliffs that the car was moving next to, Diana then quickly arrived at the contact list of the new phone and the doctor.

The first second that the doctor that did not answer her call, Diana's expression remained unchanged.

By the fifth second that the call went unanswered, though, Diana's expression had faintly shifted, causing the man that was driving the car to feel a chill in his spine for no apparent reason.

Thankfully though, Diana did not obtain any reason for her to become angry, as after just seventh second, the doctor answered the call, prompting Diana to begin speaking, without even letting him say anything.

"Mikhail, how has your research gone?" asked Diana as she took another look through the window of the car, that was moving at speeds of over 150mph.

Although such a speed was technically illegal in Russia, even as the car passed by police officers, none of them dared to try to pull Diana over, mainly thanks to the red and blue lights placed at the top of the car that were constantly ringing in a loud, yet very familiar tune.

Hearing Diana's words, the ears of all the Joestars, who were littered through the car, suddenly moved, as they began carefully listening to both the words of Diana, who they could not go more than five meters away from, and those of the man on the phone.

"After some examination, I've been able to determine that although the monster has a body type similar to those of humans and squids, its insides are completely different to either of the species, as well as any other living being on earth."

"In fact, the monster if not even a carbon based life form in the slightest, rather, at its core the monster is based on an element completely foreign to earth," said Mikhail, causing Diana to faintly frown.

"Not a carbon based life form, could it be some sort of alien?" asked Diana.

"Although the chances of this being true are high, the is no certain evidence that this being is not of earthly origin," said Mikhail, stopping himself from correcting Diana on her wrong use of the word 'alien'.

Without any warning, or anything in its path, Diana's car, which was speeding at over 170mph, suddenly stopped in its tracks, as if an invisible brick wall was in front of it, causing it to instantly turn into a pile of scrap metal.

As one might have expected, this put an end to Diana's conversation, as well as the life of the driver.

This annoyed Diana quite a bit, causing her to frown as she broke out of the rubble.

Sadly though, the moment Diana broke out of the rubble, a large ship anchor, several meters in size, suddenly hit her on the head, completely surprising her by creating no sound and causing her to stumble for a brief moment.

A fraction of a moment after that, Diana finally made eye contact with the thing that was currently attacking her.

A monster several dozen meters in size, holding a huge rusted ship anchor in its hands, stood behind Diana, before ruthlessly launching another attack at the human sized target.

The fact that the monster caused no sound in the slightest did interest Diana a little bit, but even so, just before the second powerful attack was about to hit her, Diana disappeared.

The monster was fast, extremely fast compared to a human, but even so, its power far dwarfed its speed, so much so that even Diana had felt a bit of pain from that previous attack, making her unwilling to take such an attack head on again.

At the same time, merely a fraction of a moment later, both the attack of the monster, and Diana's own counterattack landed.

In the end, though, neither of the attacks were truly effective, as the attack of the monster completely missed Diana, who had appeared next to it's head.

Instead, the attack of the monster had actually managed to completely shatter the asphalt for over one hundred meters around it, as well as send a large number of cars.

Although Diana's kick managed to land on the monster, it was similarly ineffective, only managing to burst the outer shell of the monster's head, as well as the eardrums of anyone in a five hundred meter area.

At a speed beyond that of sound, the weapon of the monster had actually arrived near its head, and smashed down where the flying Diana was, sending her flying into what remained of the road below.

Surprisingly though, the moment Diana smashed into the road, she suddenly bounced back up in a cartoon like manner, as a golden figure appeared next to her and shielded her from the next attack.

The moment the next attack of the monster launched itself as Diana, the golden figure next to her launched a punch of its own, right into the metal anchor that weighed tens of tons.

In an instant, both the anchor, and the arm of the monster was suddenly smashed apart from the sheer force of the punch launched by the stand, causing the monster to suddenly lose it's footing and fall to the ground.
