The moment this headset comes off, the ears start ringing.
And it's worse than before.
The Girl warned about frequent breaks, but they never happened.
How long was it on now?
There was a short pause after the drone brought the lunch, and that's it.
It was on for at least ten hours straight.
The experience is nauseating and intense, making me want to throw up.
It's a different kind of craving I'm used to, though the cigarettes might help with it.
The vanilla scent has the usual calming effect once it's lit.
"Oh, boy, there will be no sleep like this."
This fucking piece of garbage is so addictive.
And while it was on, it made me so tired. Or was it the character?
The feelings and statuses it has seem so real, it's impossible to tell them apart.
It was a long session, so the real me should sleep too.
If only there were some painkillers in the container.
The ears ring and the headache will kill before the first morning lights.
It's way past midnight, by the way, and the stomach is empty.
My legs and arms feel sore like I've been walking and exercising all day.
It did happen for sure, in the system.
Imagine how exhausted someone would be after all that training, fighting, and exploring.
A newbie with no former experience and stamina couldn't walk straight for a week after a first day like that.
It was dense and tiring.
It's hard to deny that it was fun though.
The aftermath is brutal regardless, and the smoke can only dampen the effects.
With Premium, there would be options to deal with this, like setting the sync to low and sleeping AFK in the game.
Or it can generate dreams too.
As a free, and very dumb user, it's pushing through the withdrawals, no other choice.
I should have paid more attention to what the Aspirant had to say instead of joking with her name.
Okay, that was more of a slip of the tongue, than a direct insult, and she will get her apology.
While going through the worst part of the ear ringing, there were things to look after on Wroddit anyway.
The PC roars to life, the fan spinning with sheer desperation as the system boots up.
This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there.
It will take a while so a second cig could help kill time until then.
It has a meager sixty-four gigs of RAM, so Spydows struggles even with all the bloat and data mining apps removed.
Why not switch to Nilux?
Not even that could help on this ancient piece of hardware and using Spydows is way more convenient.
Sure, big companies like Macrohard and Boogle will steal all data while using it, but so do the government.
They even gave people their proprietary phones with GPS and other kinds of tracking.
How did it not set a red flag with the big freedom fighters and liberal parties?
Right, they were lobbying for it and for making them mandatory, for everyone's safety.
Compared to what data it collects, trusting the big companies feels more private.
That's why using this ancient PC for searches is better than the phone.
It can run fine with careful adjustments and scripts to remove a few trackers.
It's slow but has enough resources for the Nickel-based browser to run three tabs in parallel.
Considering how much they love to eat up all the memory and this only has sixty-four gigs, it's a marvel.
The second cig turns into smoke before the subwroddit loads, and the eyes want to pop out of their sockets.
These withdrawals are brutal.
Is this what the Thin feels when he can't get his dose?
It can't compare to the simple cravings after a smoke, it's way worse.
Focusing on a simple goal should help.
Let's see, where to find better quests, how to use the market, and avoid the gankers.
The three questions take up the three tabs and let's hope the PC won't crash or show the blue screen of death.
The first tab to load is about the market.
Wroddit has a CineMraft marketplace on the site itself.
Players advertise their goods or bid on offers, though after some scrolling it's full of scams.
Anything looking like a good deal has a negative rating and complaints in the comments.
And it's a brand-new title.
There is an article about how to use the in-game market and avoid scams buried further down.
As usual, users jump at each other's throats, calling out everyone who disagrees.
There are three main trends though, that have fewer dislikes than the rest.
[Whatever you do, never use direct trade. Like, not even with your clan and party members. Unless it's your brother you'd trust your life on, avoid using that method. You'll get scammed eleven times out of ten. Why did the devs even include such a thing?]
You can open your inventory while talking with players, and drag over your stuff into theirs.
You can't grab things in their inventory though.
So if you agree on an exchange, nothing forces them to follow through.
They can take your stuff, and run off without paying.
[They won't even turn criminal or suspect, so you can't attack them to get your things back. This is the dumbest way to get scammed, so never use it. It has only one use and it's to trade with NPCs, but why is it even available between players? If someone opens it, mark them red.]
Direct trade sounds like a bad idea indeed.
[Premium users can create contracts, so use those instead. They are safer as items move into a closed container first. The other party can only access it after paying as agreed. There is no way back after confirming though, so it's still easy to get scammed with it.]
[Dude, use the market, they exist for a reason. Sure you have to pay tax, but it's only one percent if your standings are high. And for buyers, it costs nothing extra. You get what you paid for, and no trickery involved. I only use contracts when out in the blue, and no hubs nearby.]
They say the world has a few big hubs.
[The starting village is the worst place to trade. It's one of the most expensive, and the noobs will still use it, so it's profitable to rip them off. Any player that reached Level 10 and can leave the area should do so anyway, and trade elsewhere. Go, explore, lads!]
[Yeah, I'd rather trade with NPCs in Origin, than with other players. Avoid them everywhere, but it's still the lesser evil with all the cancer in the starter village. It's a real rip-off, as they will pay you nothing, and charge you extra, but so do the players there.]
[What he said. There are only scams, and gankers keep an eye on the market. Good thing, it shouldn't matter because all you can kill are rats and zombies, they don't drop anything. And what do you even need to buy in there? Potions? Never got wounded in that place, lol.]
[The two closest market hubs are five and ten days away. And if you took the Lore Questline and sided with the Empire, the guards would attack you in both. But don't pick the Rebels either, because the largest and best market hub won't allow access then.]
[Yeah, go to Taji if you need something for the cheap and in bulk. It's twenty days from Origin, but once trading becomes an issue, you should leave that place anyway. It's for noobs, you are not supposed to stay there forever. You'll never find better offers than in Taji.]
