What the hell are they talking about?
Lore Questline? Empire? Rebels? And distances in days?
What days, real life or in the game?
It's still twenty hours to reach the big hub if it's in-game.
Those are some distances, holy crap.
And yeah, Origin is for noobs. Guess who I am?
They delve into the usual 'which faction is best' type of argument that's a chore to scroll over.
To make it worse, they don't explain anything about them, or the quest line in general, so it makes no sense to read.
The next thread has the same argument about the smaller centers.
They at least give something to work with.
[Dixie is more expensive than the rest, and the Galim Kingdom's full of Russians. What are they even doing on the European server?]
[The in-game translator sucks balls with their language, and they refuse to use English. So annoying.]
So the game comes with a built-in translator?
And weird censorship too, like when the NPC party formed and they didn't let me talk.
That's another thing to look up later.
He gets yelled at in the next comment for saying Russian, and corrected in a Wroddit-polite manner.
[There's no European server, idiot, the entire world plays on the same one. You racist cunt, be glad they run the place because that's the safest in the whole game.]
[When red names enter, they mop the floor with them before getting near the hub.]
Okay, that answers how to avoid gankers so the second tab can close.
It's hard to believe, even a simple forum page takes a gigabyte of RAM to open, so it gives a little breathing room.
And it also means the stash was a good idea, instead of dealing with the local merchants.
[True, while Dixie is more expensive, I never got attacked trading there. And it's six days from Origin if you take the riskier route, so it's not that crazy.]
[It's still better than Rens, where the beggar NPCs will attack when trying to use their market. Freedom my ass.]
Oh God, there's no way to remember this many names while this head wants to explode.
The riskier route, Russians, beggars, what do these mean?
The next comments hint at what to expect, even if they don't go into details.
[That's the best part of Rens. According to the scripts, the beggars attack if you don't have a sword and armor equipped, and carry ten gold.]
[If you do, it won't trigger below a hundred golds, so it's easy to avoid, but it's free Exp so why would you?]
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
[Yeah, when picking up the second class and the alt was a few levels short, I parked him in the slums. Turn auto-battle on, and two days later, he was ready, lol.]
[They're faster than the zombies except they do almost no damage, and give the same Exp.]
This triggered another debate about the ethics of killing innocent NPCs.
Can you call them innocent if they attack you without provocation?
Okay, let's avoid that Rens place anyway.
And what are those missions, and siding with empire and rebels?
[Some Freedom Fighters you are, massacring the people you liberated. That's disgusting, bro. As he said, it's easy to avoid them, or you can go to Dixie if you're too afraid to get robbed.]
[Taking the shorter route defeats the purpose of the safe hub though.]
[Why would you ever use any other place than Taji? While it has gankers, sure, the statistics are clear.]
[They kill twice as many players as they do in the starter village when the traffic is more than a hundredfold.]
[It's much safer and cheaper than anything else you can find.]
People argue about it being far from Origin, to which others respond that only noobs stay there for long.
This feels like a personal attack and others have something to say about it too.
Most of them go right over my head in this sorry state.
[What's so great about the Achura Kingdom, dude? Ok, they have Taji. And what else?]
[The same grinding NPC quest, mining, and delivery everywhere. There are no dungeons or storyline quests, what can you even do there, other than trade? It's far from everything.]
[Those boring quests fill up the market with cheap wares. Learn how the economy works. You can hate on the carebears when they generate most of the wealth in the game. They prefer Taji because it's close and we have to accept. Travel is no big deal.]
Oh God, now they talk economics.
Ok, it's interesting, except not in the middle of the night with the ears ringing like this.
So Taji is it, that's where people buy and sell their stuff.
And about that travel distance, what is that measurement, and how do you get around it?
[Use the Caravan System, bro, don't be stupid. Rent a cart for one silver a day and they'll take all your stuff there. Pay twice to get insurance so if they lose your stuff, they pay you back in full. Even if they're robbed, it can be profitable when you don't have to pay fees.]
Caravan System?
Thinking about trade, it makes sense that NPCs would move stuff around between cities.
So you can rent a cart in one of them to move your loot to a different place?
Can you travel with them too?
Does it only work between merchant hubs?
They won't explain, assuming that everyone knows everything already.
Someone posted a hand-drawn map if you can call a few dots and lines that.
It has no topography, but the safest and shortest routes between Origin and the main centers.
They show more than they mentioned before, except this brain is already in overdrive, so it can't take it in.
Rens is the closest with the aggressive beggars, then Dixie with the players keeping it safe.
It has a shorter, more dangerous route and a longer one.
The shortcut also shortens the journey toward Taji as it's in the same direction as Dixie.
It diverts at the end of the road and goes much further.
Twenty days, or hours, do they mean on foot?
Yet the caravans are even slower, according to this other comment.
[I have a character sitting in Taji, and all the caravans go to him. All he does is sort out the prices for the loot the other alts generate. It's better to have the NPCs deliver it in forty days than keep traveling back and forth in twenty.]
Right, they have the chance to have more than one avatar.
The crime prevention program doesn't allow such things.
It means caravans or not, I'd have to travel there to take care of everything or have someone deal with it.
Not a chance, this is a solo player.
The conclusion is to keep stuff safe in that stash.
When the character has to leave Origin, aim for the trade hubs and sell everything at once.
And if you run into that quest line, side with the Empire so you keep your access to Taji, and forget about the rest.
Okay, let's see what they have to say about that mute setting, and while it loads, check on the tab with the missions.
They might elaborate on this Lore Questline too.
It doesn't sound like a government-issued job, and if this title has a lore, it would be nice to learn about it at last.
