With those earmuffs now off him, Alec heard the instructor say.
"Good work. Your shots got significantly better at the latter half. I would say your best achievement, other than that bullseye, was how you maintained your stance throughout."
Walking up to a table and throwing Alec a water bottle, the instructor further said.
"Now rest up and drink some water, don't push yourself too much since it's your first day. From tomorrow onwards can start by coming at ten. Inform prior if you are not coming at that time. If I'm not present before you already, just ask any of the receptionist or staff you find. Tell them you are looking for Magnus Scott."
Hearing that name made Alec scratch his chin a little bit. In a couple seconds it seemed like he understood, giving a polite bow to the man he said.
"You are the owner of this shooting range. Nice to meet you."
"Usually I surprise people by this. I had named this place Magnus Scott shooting range for this reason. Who took away your reaction, man?"
Again Alec did not react much to that, which Magnus did not show he mind too much. As he had the face of a man who told this joke enough times, to have seen nearly every kind of reaction to it.
Picking up the bag from the table, the instructor walked to the exit. He then said before leaving.
"Well, see you tomorrow. Have a safe day."
The scene once more shifted, showing Alec sitting on a park bench. Talking to someone in a phone call, which the scene was capturing the latter half of.
"-So that is why I will be unreachable for a long time. Yes, it's a good internship opportunity. I have checked everywhere I possibly could. Yeah, see you later man. Bye-bye."
With that phone call ending, he scrolled up from the tens of different names and numbers. All of them showing in his recent calls history, scrolling up and down like that he closed the calling app.
Only for him to next open the messenger one, showing an message draft on the chat. The name Viv with a heart at the end of it, showing on the top there.
Looking at the unfinished chat he immediately deleted it, and pressed the voice message button.
"Hey. It's been about a month, since we last talked. You told about needing some time off, and I understand. It's just I...no longer feel like I have time anymore. This might have been obvious to you, or maybe it's not. But I feel like I should put this in words. Let's break up. That's it, bye."

Putting his thumb off it, the message delivered itself. After that Alec got up from the park bench, with his hood cap reaching close to his eyes.
Following that it showed many scenes of him going to gun range, exercising, eating healthy, and practicing control with his powers. That he had thought to be basic telekenesis at the time.
His progress appearing to be fast with the weapons, as he seemed to go through a couple of them. That he learned to shoot with properly, until he finally got to the rifles.
Much of these few scenes Alec, who was sitting inside the theatre chose to not see. As he had long covered his eyes, using the palms of his hands. Staying like this for a lengthy moment, he uncovered his eyes and saw how scene in outdoors.
Where his past self was shooting at a dummy, with the help of a rifle that after finishing he skilfully reloaded.
Bringing out the small mirror, he had kept on his back pocket. Alec looked at the small text above his head.
[0 days : 0.2 hours left]
Roughly calculating it was about twelve minutes in total. The entirety of those twelve minutes, Alec stood at one place. Holding the rifle firmly in his hand, keeping the stance but not shooting anymore.
A change occured right past the eleven minutes and fifty nine seconds mark. With a hole opening in the ground right under Alec's feet. In which he fell without any resistance, and the closed without any signs of being there. This entire thing happening in just a split second.
The fall that Alec experienced was very short, as he lost his balance for a moment once he landed. Standing upright he corrected his stance, facing a couple direction but not seeing much in the dark.
This made Alec to reach behind for his smartphone for some light. But that problem solved itself, as a dim light soon made itself present.
A little less tense than before, Alec slowly backed up to the wall. Keeping his guard up, he switched looking at the two open pathways. From one of them he could hear sound of footsteps coming.
Pointing his muzzle at the entrance of where it came from Alec waited. Meanwhile the sound of footsteps kept getting faster and faster, until Alec saw a fast moving cloaked figure.
"Hey! Stop moving!"
-Screeeech!
An inhumanly shrill noise came out of the cloaked figure in response. This made Alec no longer hesitate despite the human like shape of the entity. Pulling the trigger he quickly fired at it, every shot from the gun hitting right at the target.
The cloaked figure clearly got pushed, back from the force of the bullets. Laying on the ground after that, but not taking any chances Alec shot a couple more times. Not completely emptying the rifle, yet not taking any chances here.
After a minute of observation, and the cloaked figure no longer moving, Alec slowly moved closer to it. Only to end up in astonishment, seeing how the cloak to meld itself with the ground.
Before he could look turn around to look, Alec felt a pull of force instantly dragging him backwards. Still he held the gun close to him for as long as possible. Trying to angle it so that he could shoot it behind him.
That option was quickly made unavailable to him. As he got tied up in a few seconds, making the gun to slip out of his reach. But he still prevented himself from loosing, using the telekenesis to levitate it as long he could.
Perhaps this was something the entity behind him did not like. With it stopping to pull Alec for a moment, setting him down and then stepping on the gun. Breaking it from the middle with its spider like
Seeing that instantly made Alec's face pale as a sheet. Upon seeing the monstrous creature, Alec lost any thoughts about reacting violently anymore.
The lights then turned on after that, with the screen showing words 'le fin' on it.
Still looking at the screen, Alec then hoarsely spoke.
"Is it finished now?"
"Yep! Though a couple questions have been added on the page. Please fill those up."
Putting his attention on the sheet of page, it was much less empty than before. Three new questions having been added since he last looked. Looking at them one by one, Alec pointed and read one of it out loud inside his mind.
'Why did you intentionally missed your shots, by not using your power much in the shooting range?'
"The suspicion that would arise would be too much. Pretending to be sorm sort of genius, without being able to back it up would only cause me harm."
Saying that Alec saw a tick make appearing after it, then he put his sights on the next question.
'What kind of weaponry would you have taken, if you knew about the calibre of your opponent?'
"A rocket launcher. Wait, scratch that. Two rocket launchers."
Finally the last question appeared in Alec's sight that he looked at with a difficult expression. Before finally giving his answer.
"No."
The question was simply this, 'Would you like to return home right now? But you have to lose the unique ability.'
