The sense of joy Alec felt from the success did not diminish even after he felt his control over the broken tooth fish-headed creature slowly loosen. All the while it continuously sank deeper while being restricted, getting out of Alec's proximity and his range of control.
In a fleeting moment it reached a point when his hold reached it's final stage. Thus breaking control over the bi-pedal fish creature causing him to let go. The creature in question then swam away in desperation, afraid that it again loose the control over its body. Having created a survival experience it would actively try to avoid if ever faced with again.
Seeing it not try to return for any kind of payback or revenge, Alec put the creature off his mind. Rather thinking about the big step he made, regarding the special ability he had a long towards mastering.
Making it clear to him that the path to grow his powers, that while solely reliant on his own perception for objects, can also work on living things if taken notice how others who are affected by it perceive it.
This was one of the things he came up with, after breaking down his entire experience when he used the invocation for the first time. That for some reason he could recall in an extremely great detail, something he chalked up to it perhaps being that much memorable to him.
Now having a solid proof regarding the application of his power to control the movement of other creatures. Alec was eager to try the second method, that he had thought up of last night. Even if he was planning to take a nap after this test, regardless how the outcome was going to be.
Bringing his hand close to his mouth and suppressing a yawn, Alec then waved at Myr who in response threw a bag in his direction. It smelled like rotten fish which he chose to keep at a distance by suspending it in air.
Keeping it at that range he then tied it to one end of the large rope that he had bundle of on his ship. By now his control over all kinds rope had reached a much greater height than it had been earlier. Having used his ropes in the various excercises, trying to study through various books about this object, and finally using it repeatedly for both combat and sailing made him get used to it.
Like Alec was told weeks prior, in order for him to use any medium better he had to gain more understanding of it. Finally after tying the rope on to the bag he swung it in midair at increasingly faster speeds. Until launching the bag along with the rope as far as possible.
Then Alec relaxedly sat still while looking how it went out of his sight soon. He then held the remaining of the rope with his one hand when he felt like it had reached far enough.
The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
Dozens of minutes passed by until a light tug came from the other end, which again repeated in an erratic and frequent manner. To which Alec responded by making the rope pull back quickly, meanwhile sailing the boat in the opposite direction in a zigzag like manner.
All the while his eyes were directed at the coming bag, that was mostly swallowed up by what looked like a really large Scallop. One that was constantly releasing bright electrical sparks. It looked mostly like a normal scallop, that had grown many times larger than a normal scallop would. Looking at which made Alec think.
'Yep. Still pretty glad I didn't chose chains over ropes.'
There were a few objects he had the option to choose that could perform tasks similar to how a rope would. With chains being one of them, as it was something of a more durable material. They could better serve as a weapon, or be used to hold heavier objects than ropes. The main problem with it is that chains much harder to carry, and more difficult for him to give shape to in larger quantities than ropes.
By the end of his contemplation the bag was closeby and nearly fully eaten. Also a few strands of the rope were also starting to catch fire. Right then Alec violently shook the rope and stopped pulling it, thus creating a large wave that travelled to it's very end. Amplifying the elevation of the rope till the height of fall for the massive scallop was greater, as it fell just a short distance away from Alec's sail boat.
Seeing it release a couple more sparks in the water, and then stopping to do so while sinking a bit further. Before it sank any further a number of ropes binded it, allowing to no longer go down any further.
There was a build up of sparks on the monstrous scallop's surface, just as it was about to release it there was a shout directed at it from Alec.
"Stop!"
At that moment the sparks did not reached their peak and dissipated at once. The monster not understanding what took place tried over and over again, but each time with a single shout of the 'stop' would make it useless. In between that Alec shouted a couple other things like 'open', 'roll', 'sink', and a few others, out of which none of them worked even slightly.
This was the second application he had thought of last night, that was regarding to gain controlling over other creatures. He add gotten this idea through a simple idea he had thought of.
'What if I recieved the permission from someone about being able to control their movements?'
Despite how ridiculous it may have sounded at first, in Alec's sleep-deprived, caffeine-less mind, there was an influx of multiple ideas. Out of which this was the most possible one he felt had any chance of working, which associated with the implementation of his power he had wanted to currently perform.
This was after him already thought about the first application, and having zero idea as to how use the foresight ability without endangering his safety in a manner completely out of his control. So he took a step back from that, prioritising his well being something he wasn't ready to use just now. Thus, bringing him back to the very idea he had earlier.
The first issue related to that thought in question was how to gain permission from a sea-living creature whose only desire against anything he does is either kill, eat or run away but not speak. The solution came from the second of those three things, gaining control on the monsters by targeting their desire to eat.
A simple act of give and take that worked by giving something of value to other party, and then making a 'request' to the party that if they verbally refuse would not work anymore.
To enact this he hunted multiple fish, then cooked or rather just chopped them up, and finally carried in the bag handing it to the current target of invocation. Which upon further testing only followed the very first command he made in regards to the disruption of its electrical shock and no more after that.
He then let the ropes untie from the boat and had them keep the hold on the large mutated as it sink. Throughout which he had already made sail boat moving. Knowing that if the monstrous scallop could the momentum from under there, then it would hit the boat with the momentum of a hammer.
Sailing further by relying on the boat's sail, that were powered by the wind and controlled by the ropes. No longer did he lose the balance there as easily as he used to do.
Right as he reached close to Myr, who was standing on the stone platform, the ropes had began to come back to him swimming like a number of sea snakes.
