Being on this smaller version of the sailboat Alec could no longer change the shape of it as he pleased. He could still break it and then reshape in that manner, but doing so in the drop of a hat like before was not possible. Although he could still split it into pieces and then join them together.
This made him even more cautious in encountering any danger. Out of food and clearly tired he kept sailing forward, only taking turns or raising his boat up whenever he heard the forewarning of danger.
No more landmarks were going to be present from this point, but that also meant no territory of any gigantic monster as well. All he had to do was cross the sea, that he was told he would recognise when he reached the boundary of it.
This whole time the navigation was done by the guidance of Myr, and the rest with the help of the mast. Due it being made from the ship which Alec had first arrived on, one that also sink under him. Later with the help of Myr they had salvaged some parts form it, that the spire's use some alchemy to find out more about it.
Through which he was told, that the wooden part the mast built out of had apparently grown outside the stormy seas. Allowing Alec to use it as a medium to let it guide him to where it was from.
Although when Alec used the same invocation on himself it did not work. Signifying that his home was far away, and clearly out of his range. The feelings of bitterness coming from that subconscious thought, he then tried to shake off.
Eventually when the feeling passed Alec saw a change in the sky for the first time in all the months he had sailed. As he was able to just barely see a boundary of the dark cloud filled sky, one that grew more as he kept sailing forward.
He was now truly excited about this, so much so that he almost forgot to listen for any danger with string-phones. That did not gave off any ringing noise, but he still kept them close to his ears anyway.
In a while he was able to see the edges of the stormy sea, that was in contact with a blue waterbody contrasting it's dull colored one. Closing in towards there Alec suppressed all of his worries, agitation, concern towards what he might witness from hereon. When he will cross the seas, and towards the continent which would follow.
He had asked the keeper of the spire about it, but with the passing of the time any knowledge about would be centuries old. Reining in his spiralling thoughts Alec moved the boat forward, with clear direction in his sight and an unfaltering will to follow it.
This got interrupted with the water suddenly rising, out coming a large shadowy mass with two big white circles on it. That shadowy mass only continued to rise even higher, getting much broader in the middle there, ending with two pillar like shape that went much deeper into the sea.

It turned out to be giant humanoid creature, that seemed to be absorbing light itself with its dark ink like figure. Having risen out of the sea from nowhere, and blocking Alec from crossing the sea with him being only a few metres away.
Now with almost entirety of it in Alec's sight, that he had to tilt his neck to completely see it. His jaw could not be closed, as he momentarily stopped to even breath. Gazing at giant shadowy figure, with two completely contrasting white eyes. Having a height what Alec assumed more than six storey building at least.
Only breaking out of his stupor did he saw the giant raising it's hand. Clearly recognising danger from that, despite the sound of forewarning not coming Alec sunk the boat himself. Pushing it down by using the ocean drum that he lowered, and then put as much invisible force he could muster.
Even though it damaged the sail boat slightly Alec did not care, heaving a sigh of relief after seeing how the palm of the sea giant swiped and missed him. Knowing the speed at which he performed this action narrowly saved his life.
Clearly understanding the limits of his own ability, Alec knew he could not take this opponent down. Meaning the only choice left to him was to run away, which he had no qualms about especially in such a ridiculous and outclassed match-up.
Holding his breath underwater he made the only viable plan in this moment. Enacting it before the oxygen ran, for which he was glad that he trained holding his breath during swimming practice. Breaking away the parts of the boat he then threw each of them away, one by one in the direction he had sunk down in.
That was also where the giant creature had kept it's sight on, with it reacting upon seeing any stimulus from there. It being a distraction that Alec had made, having launched the mast behind it and tied himself to it with a rope.
Doing so while reminding himself of what was told to him by Myr, that the monsters from the accursed sea cannot cross it's boundary. Crossing the sea boundary and a little more distance from it, without looking back at all. Going full force until a shadow was right above him, that picked him up with the mast.
Shaking him off the mast and then throwing it away, the dark murky giant put Alec on it's open palm. While standing outside the boundary of the sea, something Alec was told impossible by trustworthy source so he believed it till just now.
His mind almost seemed to be shifting down, having lost his last pillar of support. Only having his clothes on himself, and the Gordian rope tied on his waist. None of which brought a solution that would take him away of his current predicament. Leaving his mind empty of any new ideas, or creativity which brought him away from so many dangers over these past months. And especially in the couple of days of his journey.
The next thing he heard was while being in that blank state, allowing these words to be heard by him even clearer.
"Congratulations on completing your trial. You will wake up in a different world."
The two words 'wake-up' made Alec feel increasingly disoriented. Repeating over and over in his ears, despite the few words being spoken right after it. Feeling worse than the many days of sailing, especially during his early days when he used to capsize it so many times.
In that condition he then started to sink into the giant's palm. Going somewhere he had no idea of, only being too shook and out of any means to reject that. Having to close his eyes as soon as his head nearly sunk as well.
Right after Alec was completely absorbed into the giant's palm, the creature in question then fell face first. Not creating any tides after reaching the surface of the water though, with it's body turning into a shadow which imprinted itself on there.
Soon disappearing as the water flowed in different directions, carrying the shadows with it until it became imperceptible in every manner. The only signs of what took place there being the broken parts of the sail boat that took Alec till now.
All the parts that were on the side of the stormy sea and floated in it's direction, only the mast of the sail boat remained on the clear waters. It continuing to float forward, in the direction where Alec had been guided towards.
Perhaps someday it might reaching to the shore of the land, that the wood it was made out of grew from. Presently no one knew and the same rang true for life as well. Something so Alec would have agreed to, considering how much he had just gone through in his life.
