For the coming weeks Alec decided to put his entire focus on improving what he currently possessed.
No grand new Invocation, or finding some sort of application he never thought of before. Rather refining what he already had, or completing the few Invocations to ensure as his means for survival.
Just with that he felt like his plate of things-to-do was filled to the brim. Starting from morning he would prepare his breakfast, and simultaneously learn how to recreate many of the cooking process. Among that was the enclosing circle of fire, that Alec had first used when he had been new to the spire.
The circle was made through a process which Alec could not use, as it involved a unique power seperate from his own.
It was called Alchemy. The same that Myr's creator used to make the tower, and the living statue that resided in it as it's keeper. Recognising this fact, Alec understood how important it was to make due with his own powers. Then he began with the other important project he had been trying to succeed in for days.
As he set a earthen pot on the countertop, and filled it with a bucket full of sea water. Then using enough force to create a hole at the lower end of it, he then directly attached a closed faucet to it. Despite being closed it let out water in form of small droplets, that Alec collected with the help of a drinking cup.
Letting it fill to the brim he then made a sour face, recalling the last couple of times when the failed at distilling the water. Bringing it close to his mouth Alec took a small gulp, that instantly made him surprise. Finishing the entire content of the glass in a few swigs, Alec pumped his fist in air. Glad at having succeeded in such an important aspect for his survival.
In any long voyage securing food and water is the first priority. While he could fish for some seafood or store dried up food, carrying enough water would be far more difficult. This also served as the last of of the important tasks he needed to fulfill before finally preparing to leave.
Cleaning the entire kitchen by himself, Alec then readied the packed bags of food and necessary items. With the bags in tow he reached the entryway which he pushed open with his own strength.
Existing the spire Alec put the bags inside the boat, the sails of which he had painted black. Tying his hair back that had grown just under his chin, Alec took a seat on the ship and opened the sail.
Pushing it off the height he opened the back sails as well, this helped him glide in the air and finally land safely. Sailing forward solely guided by the strong winds, Alec was able to see an extremely familiar but large statue figure, with a height close to that of a three storey building.
Upon further getting closer Alec could see that giant figure turn to look at him. The much larger spire keeper, whose name was Myr spoke in a voice that was strangely in the same pitch as always.

"As long as you can see me from a distance, I can help you. From then it is on you, even if it is just a day long trip back and forth, there will be many things you will get the idea of."
With that said Myr, still in the giant form, gazed ahead and Alec sailed in the same direction. He knew that despite the length of the journey there was no chance of getting lost since Myr had an item which Alec had turned into a beacon.
The sail boat moved forward Alec only looked at the back, keeping Myr in his sight for as long as possible. Any sea monsters in his path he skilfully avoided, only to see them getting dealt by one or two stone spears each.
Soon Myr was no longer in his sight, taking that as a sign of no more help coming Alec stared ahead. Bringing out a handkerchief which he threw backward, he then took the ocean drum out and played on it while tilting the drum forward.
Although it took him high up and with great speed, for every crest there was a trough. Coming down Alec noticed a couple of creatures that resembled a normal big fish with wing-like fins, following him at speeds as fast as his own boat had.
Shaking the ocean drum up and down more rapidly, the boat gained altitude which Alec used to glide in air further. Not long after he felt like he was starting to lose them, but the group of flying fish still caught up.
Knowing that a fight was about it be unavoidable, Alec took out a bag of grain and sprayed it in their path. Lot of it went in the mouth of each of these creatures except a few, pointing at them one by one Alec gave a command.
"Left. Right. Down. Down faster. U-turn."
With these simple commands he changed the trajectory of their flight making them all crash into each other and fall down. Doing that Alec continued his journey forward, with the goal to touch down the first of the three small island stops. That he had to pass by in order to cross the full length of the sea.
Although the speeds which he could achieve with the boat could shorten the total time it would take his journey. The dangers he would encounter will be larger at a much shorter period of time. One of which was right under him, that Alec only realised when a large squid feeler was on the bow of boat.
Tying the sails and removing the mast off the boat, Alec lifted it and pinned the sharp underside of the mast pole at the appendage. Launching it full force there was an immediate reaction that made the creature underneath to release it only for seven more of such squid arms coming up.
The upcoming few hours were the worst ones in sailing for Alec, as seven of those squid appendages caused havoc on board. While the monstrous squid had long attaching itself to the bottom of the boat. Ship creaked badly but was held up by ropes and sheer will of Alec. Who fought the giant squid that was hellbent on destroying the sail boat and reach Alec.
Using a number of means he tried to shake the creature off, using the rope to engage with those legs took half of Alec strength. The rest was spent in escaping from any outside third party that closed in on both of them.
This was the worst damage that his sail boat encountered, and after the spring made timer that showed the whole day had passed did until he finally gave up on doing it on his own. Putting the safety of his sail boat at risk, to get rid of the uninvited guest. Especially since he was in the possibile range to get help at.
Pulling the mast off the one the squid monster's appendages, that had been stuck to it all this time, Alec then strongly beat on the ocean drum causing the beads in to shake up and violently.
Creating the largest lift from the waves, that Alec ever experienced on his sail boat. Up in the air Alec then jumped off the boat while the sail boat got carried even further in the air.
Meanwhile Alec had his decent to be slower by using an extremely large umbrella. This helped him stay afloat in air longer, and protected him from the oozing ink and wood splinters. Which came when a large stone spear struck the squid monster, also creating a large hole through the deck of the sail boat.
After the boat fell facing downwards Alec checked the vitality of the squid monster. He tested this by controlling the movement from the range, and feeling no resistance in however he moved it's legs he became sure it was dead.
He did so on the logic of there being an inherent resistance in any object or living thing that had the capability to move against his invocation. It was impossible to fake as far as he had tested, and while Alec knew not to over rely on it, this was a decent way to make a quick check. Before he cleaned up the boat
As he wrapped up all the different appendages in a bundle, Alec then pulled out the mast first and threw the squid creature off the backside of his boat. With no keel to help centre it took a little more effort but Alec upright it and sailed back to the direction of the spire with a much battered boat this time.
While the resistance felt worse, and the ship slower. He was soon in safer waters, as the giant form of Myr was in his view.
