"Teacher."
With the proclamation of that single word, Alec became the disciple of the individual who agreed to teach him and therefore make him strong. Who then said.
"Disciple from another world acquired. There is going to be another kid I'm going take under my tutelage, which means you are going to be a senior disciple soon Congratulations."
Suppressing himself from making a remark about his sudden promotion. He then diverted his attention, and looked at the spear which he saw his self appointed teacher just use. With so a strength and technique, Alec did not think he could ever possess.
Noticing the apparent attention at the spear from his disciple, the Chieftain then held in horizontally in his palms and spoke.
"All the materials that I've made this spear out of are extinct. Well, I was the main reason behind they went extinct. Sounds cruel when spoken in this context, right?"
Alec simply nodded at that, holding no judgement in his mind or expression. Having enough sense to know he was about to be told the reason why.
"It is going to be really long tale. If you still want to know then first tell me how old the human civilisation is back in your world."
To which Alec gave answer.
"Minimum around six thousand years. Though we count our calendar from around the two thousand years."
"Ours is a just a little over a millennia old. Because that's how long ago I had freed the humanity from the rule of monsters. Perhaps there used to be some civilization before us, nobody knows since nothing from before that time period has ever been discovered. Humans lived in small number separating themselves into small tribes."
He took a momentary break from speaking, in order to walk towards one of the uprooted trees. That 2we among the ones that Alec had threw at him, then sitting there he continued to speak furthermore.
"The tribe I was born into lived at the foot of rocky mountains, safe from other monsters due to it being the nest of an old Dragon. Our only wealth of knowledge, apart from the language we had created through the use of symbols, was in predicting the Dragon's every movement and sleep cycle. I was born as next of kin to the last person who had the role of watching the Dragon and then writing down knowledge leading to cause of their death before passing away."

Looking at Alec’s solemn expression, which accurately reflected how he felt about what he had been told, the millennia-old individual laughed.
"No need to feel bad about this. It was a different time period back then, the reason why we strive to improve the world is so that no such thing repeats. My treatment in the tribe was not bad, I was taught reading and writing before learning to scavenge. The more dangerous a duty was, bigger the share you would recieved. Take a look at this now."
Then using his spear to draw on the ground, he gave Alec a detailed outline of what appeared to be a mountain with a very small, chimney-like head. Finally ending the drawing with a cloud like pattern over the chimney he said.
"This is roughly how I remember the dragon's cave to be like. If the dragon was sleeping then the smoke would flow out, when it woke up the ground would shake and birds fly away. A lot of other other signs were there as well which we had to remember, but that was unique to both the terrain and the Dragon. Now let me tell you how I got this. Wanna hold it while listening?"
Before Alec could make a decision, the spear was already thrown towards him. He caught it by the part wrapped in cloth. Once he held it, the spear seemed to be constantly shaking, resisting motion by moving in the opposite direction to where Alec tried to move it.
Ignoring this as if it was completely normally the Dragon skull wearing individual then said.
"Many years after I became the watcher of the tribe, the Dragon was heard roaring from its cave. That was followed by trembling which travelled through the entire mountain range. All of this scared the tribe members as they prepared to head out and leave. But as the watcher I knew I had to see what was happening. In order to find even the slightest chance for my tribe to still live in the mountain, the world outside was unknown and very much dangerous."
In between him speaking the spear began to shake violently, making it's original holder put a finger above his mask. This caused the weapon to instantly simmer down.
"Giving away the written records of my knowledgeas the watcher till now, I then watched my entire tribe leave. My goal was to scout and then inform others what happened, same way the generations before him taught what had happened. Next day after the tribe left, all the roars and quakes died down. And despite so many new holes around the cave, almost no smoke seemed to be coming out. Taking it as the timing to finally investigate, I then headed to the cave's entry. Despite the fear for my life, I had to make sure. What I witnessed in there was beyond anything I could have imagined."
Instantly the spear slipped from Alec's grasp and nearly lodged itself into the eye of the Dragon skull that the person in front of him wore. Which the other party easily caught, and then threw the spear far away into the air.
"Don't mind it too much. Talking about the death of somebody right in front of them can be a sensitive topic. Now where was I? Oh yeah, into the cave. There I saw the massive Dragon, or the broken and battered remains of it. With the tail completely missing, and standing on top of it was the smallest dragon I had ever seen. Half my own size and even more scary as it was chewing up the tail bone of Dragon so much bigger it was terrifying."
Tapping the skull headpiece twice with his index finger. He then continued to dpeak further.
"Before I could react in any manner, it spat the thin, stick-like bone at its side. Showing clear distaste, similar to how you would feel seeing a disgusting insect walking next to your meal. Without even dealing with me, the small dragon opened its wingspan and flew away from the hole in the roof of the cave, leaving behind me and a nearly intact dragon's corpse. The impulse to stay won over the impulse to run away, so I checked the corpse to see if there was anything of value. Can you guess what happened after that?"
Alec recognised it was less of a question to him, and more of a lesson he was imparting through his own mistake.
"I couldn't tear through the tough scales, move the heavy body of the monster, and when the blood touched me slightly, it felt like burning acid. Yet, I knew I had no time, fearful of perhaps that small Dragon returning. So I looked for the only thing that I could somewhat carry and that was the chewed up tail bone. But as soon as I picked it up a ghostly visage of the dead Dragon, the one whose remains I stood in front of, appeared before me."
