Traveler
There’s god in everyone, but we’re not god, just puppets, just dolls, I dream, and I become a vampire in the night, my reflection echoes out, the heavens check, and I've eaten many women, fought many men, I used to dream, of the good in humans, and ideals, about reaching for the stars, but I'm just a beast, dancing under the light, I hunger, and I hope to eat, but maybe that’s not right, sometimes I get to rest, it’s a blessing, to rest your head at night, so many lessons, it’s almost spring, and life still has to happen, for everyone.

Prayer
Oh, spirit, young and fresh, you came to me, asking for a name, I forget your first words to me, I lost the opportunity, to be true to you, allow the best for you, I can smell you, you are young and tasty, maybe it was destiny, that you be tainted, you remind me, of the faerie, who asked me to pay for her body, in a far a way dream, I claimed her body, she took one of my shirts, to remember me, maybe you were like her, defiant but compliant, may the river flow, and the journey take you far, go in peace, maybe one day, you’ll reach for the stars.
