"How dare you talk to me like that!" Bob felt his dignity challenged and, in a fit of anger and embarrassment, waved his hands in the air.
Louis stared at the middle-aged man venting his anger in front of him, a growing sense of annoyance rising within him. Louis pointed at him and said, "You're nothing in front of me! It's best not to provoke me, or you'll regret it." After that, he sat back in his seat.
Bob wanted to say something more, but seeing the beast-like look in Louis' eyes, he pouted and remained silent. He didn't want to admit that he was intimidated by Louis, but his trembling legs betrayed him.
Bob remembered Louis' name and continued calling roll. Jack turned around and asked Louis, "Louis, are we just going to endure this?" Louis replied, "There will be opportunities in the future!" Then he rested his head on the desk and fell asleep.
After finishing the roll call, Bob said, "That's it for today. Tomorrow, be at school by 7:00 am. Don't be late." He walked toward the classroom door, thinking about how to deal with Louis, who had just ashamed him.
Louis, Jack, and others walked out of the classroom. There were a few people in the classroom corridor. Upon seeing Louis and Jack, one guy with a swollen face pointed at Louis and said to the person nearby, "John, it's them. Oh my, oh~~" He pointed too hard, feeling a pang of pain through his body.
Louis took a closer look and realized it was the one with small eyes who had been beaten by Jack in the morning. Louis admired him inwardly for still being able to walk after such hurt. This showed remarkable resilience. Jack also saw clearly and sneered, "What's your problem? Are you still not satisfied?"
John walked over, appraising Jack, and said, "You're the one who beat him up like this. I can't just ignore it." John was over 6 feet tall, broad-shouldered, with three lines on his forehead from frowning.
"What do you suggest then?" Jack realized he might not stand a chance in a one-on-one with him.
John nodded, "Meet behind the small grove behind the playground later. Let's settle this." He turned and left. Small-eyes followed behind limping and, as he left, glanced back at Jack, saying, "Here's some advice for you: get ready for a stretcher!"
"Really? I'll satisfy you later!"
At that moment, Eric also arrived and asked, "Louis, what's going on?"
Before Louis speak, Jack took over, "Those two guys we fought with in the shed this morning have brought reinforcements. They want us to meet them behind the small grove for a showdown."
Upon hearing this, Eric chuckled and rubbed his hands together, saying, "Louis, it's been a while since we had a good brawl. Today's a perfect opportunity to have some action."
Louis nodded. It seemed like they couldn't avoid a fight. "Eric, get a few people. I have a plan!" Eric agreed and dashed off.
The small grove was filled with overgrown grass and scattered trash. No one would usually come here. It had become a gathering place for fights, with dried bloodstains faintly visible on the ground.
Louis and Jack entered the grove, followed by more than ten guys. From a distance, they saw John and his group waiting, each holding a stick. The two groups reached the center of the grove. Louis looked at John: "You are their leader?"
John chuckled, "Who are you? Why should I talk to you?"
Jack lit a cigarette for Louis and said, "This is Louis, our leader!"
John glanced at Louis, "Never heard of you. I don't care where you're from. X University belongs to the 'Emperor.' If you're a dragon, coil up; if you're a tiger, lie down. Don't even dream of trying to be king here! Today, let's talk about you guys beating up small-eyes!"
Jack took a puff of his cigarette and said, "I don't know who you're talking about with 'Emperor.' He..." Louis interrupted Jack, not letting him continue, "The guy we beat up, what we're going to do with him is our call. How we handle things here is our business, and you don't have the right to meddle."
John spoke up, "Fine. Let's not talk about that for now. Tell me what to do now that you've beaten up small-eyes."
Jack exclaimed loudly, "What do you think you are? Just because you have a few wrinkles on your forehead, you think you're a tiger?"
John sneered, "You're acting tough now, but soon you won't be able to stand up!"
Jack loosened his shirt and rolled up his sleeves. "Come on then, let's see how you'll keep me from getting up!"
Louis crossed his arms, knowing that the fighting could not be avoided. He stared at John and said, "It seems like this fight is inevitable. I hoped to avoid it, but I don't have a choice now." Without warning, he charged straight at John, lifting his leg and forcefully kneeing him in the lower abdomen. John didn't expect the attack to come so quickly. Caught off guard, he bent over in pain.
Louis took advantage of John's lowered head, following up with a knee to his face. John experienced in fighting, quickly reacted and used his arms to block Louis's knee. Louis seeing his knee being blocked, switched to using his elbow to strike John's exposed lower back. The elbow is the hardest part of the human body, and Louis gave it all his strength. John couldn't bear the blow; he felt like he'd been struck by thunder and yelled out before falling to the ground.

John's momentary underestimation had cost him, as he hadn't had a chance to retaliate before being knocked down. Louis understood that he couldn't go easy on his enemy; if he started a fight, he had to make sure the enemy couldn't stand back up. In his current state, his eyes gleamed like a wild beast. He grabbed John's hair and forcefully slammed his head onto the ground. John's face was now covered in blood, and his consciousness was fading.
When Louis charged toward John, Jack didn't stand still either. He shouted loudly and rushed towards the group that had come with John. His fellow comrades behind him pulled out sticks from their waistbands and followed suit. Jack, at the forefront, caught sight of "small-eyes." He grinned widely and said, "You think you can run out, huh? Today, I’ll give you an unforgettable time!"
Small-eyes stood at the back of the crowd. He could see Jack running towards him with his eyes wide open. This scared him so much that he hobbled away as fast as he could. Jack didn't give him a chance; he caught up in a few steps and knocked him to the ground. In the morning, Jack hadn't used his full strength against him, but this time, he held nothing back. He used all his strength to fiercely beat Small-eyes. Others also found their opponents and fights broke out all around.
At this moment, around thirty more people entered from outside, holding sticks, and joined the battle. The leader was Eric.
For a while, the shouts echoed through the small grove, while on the playground, the students were accustomed to such scenes—chatting together, playing ball. But within the grove, it was like a scene from hell. Students with broken bones were lying on the ground, howling, and those still standing with bloodied faces couldn't even hear anymore. All they had was the fight. The battle between Louis' group and the existing forces was unfolding like this.
Louis stood up, blood on both hands and some drops on his face. John on the ground had already passed out. Louis wiped the blood off his face, bent down, and grabbed John's hair, forcefully pulling him up.
"Stop it, all of you!" Louis shouted loudly. People stopped fighting and turned to look at Louis. Everyone was startled because what they saw standing there wasn't a person but a devil. Once the blood was wiped off Louis' face, his expression became extraordinarily sinister. Louis lifted John’s upper body by holding his hair, whether John was dead or alive. He looked just like a demon fresh out of hell.
"God!" Two people shouted and ran out of the grove, but were intercepted by the guys which Louis had stationed there. They were subjected to a brutal beating and were dragged back and thrown on the ground. The guys that John had brought with him were completely stunned.
Louis curled his lips upwards, "Today, nobody here should even think about leaving!" After hearing Louis' words, some people were already sitting on the ground crying, while others had lost all their fighting spirit. Louis' satisfaction grew as he saw their reactions. It was all just a scare tactic. "Either you end up like him!" Louis lifted John's body slightly, "Or you follow me! It's your choice!"
Looking at the unconscious John and Louis, as well as the dozens of guys staring at them nearby, some threw down their weapons, saying loudly, "L... Louis, I’ll follow you!" Others who had a closer relationship with John were in a dilemma.
Louis looked and smiled, nodding slightly at them. "I won't make things difficult for you. Take away those injured among you, and this one too." He pushed John's body forward and continued, "Go back and tell the 'Emperor' that I hit the one and started the matter. If you have any issues, come find me. My name is Louis!" Seeing that these people had understood clearly, he added, "You can leave now. I've spared you this time. If you come to bother me again next time, don't blame me for not warning you."
These people looked at Louis, seeing that he wasn't joking. They said "thank you" and carried away the injured guys. However, they could never forget the way Louis looked today; it left a lasting mark on their lives.
As they walked away, Louis said to the others, "Take the injured to the hospital. Eric, go with them!"
Eric replied, "No problem, Louis!" and joined the others in carrying the injured people out of the woods. After a moment of thought, Louis told Eric, "Once you're at the hospital, find Steven. He has money!"
Eric responded, "Got it, Louis!" and then hurried towards the school gate.
Jack walked over and grinned at Louis. "Louis, that was really satisfying this time! I took down three of them. But you're still tougher than me!"
Louis shook his head, almost laughing at Jack. Jack's clothes were torn to shreds, with quite a bit of blood and sweat staining them. His face, covered in sweat and dirt, looked like that of a vagabond. Louis pulled out a tissue from his pocket and handed it to Jack, saying, "Clean your face with this first."
Jack accepted the tissue, feeling a bit embarrassed. He wiped his face a couple of times, thinking to himself, "Louis' face isn't much cleaner than mine."
Louis said to the newcomers, "I know that you're forced to be here with me, but since you've joined me, I'll treat you as my own. I hope you won't do anything that would disrespect me. Otherwise... I won't say the rest of it. Now, I'll give you another chance to choose. If you're willing to stay, welcome. If you don't want to stay, I won't force you. Leave immediately!"
Among these people, some were won over by Louis' tough attitude, while others were truly left with no choice. Hearing Louis' words just now put them in a difficult spot. Louis saw this and said loudly, "From now on, if anyone dares to harm you, I won't spare them. No matter who it is! Today is an example, and I'll stick to my words!"
After hearing this, the guys no longer had any reservations in their hearts. They all bowed to Louis together and said, "I am willing to follow Louis. If I have any ulterior motives, may the heavens and earth punish me!"
Louis smiled and turned to his guys, "Everyone has seen it. These people are now our own men. Let's take care of each other!" It was quite amusing – just moments ago, these were enemies, and now they had become comrades. Their fates were intertwined by one person.
One of them said to Louis, "Louis, I know you're powerful, but 'Emperor' isn't an ordinary person. Emperor won't let you off easily!"
Louis looked at the person and asked, "What's your name?" "Louis, I'm Alan."
Louis nodded and asked: "Tell me about the situation here. Summarize the key points."
Alan thought for a moment and said, "Before you arrived, there were two factions here. One was led by 'Emperor,' and the other was Billy's organization..." Louis interrupted his words and asked, "Who's Billy?"
Alan said, "Billy was the first to establish an organization here, which grew to include hundreds of people. But not long after, the 'Emperor' arrived and quickly built his own following. The two sides have had numerous clashes. The most intense one involved around two hundred people fighting, resulting in three deaths and countless injuries..." Alan shuddered a bit as he spoke about this.
Louis asked, "The university not intervene?"
Alan coldly laughed, "The university doesn't care about this. The principal says, 'These people are all social scum. One less death doesn't matter.'"
Jack asked, "Isn't it a big deal if students die at the school? Even if the principal doesn't go to jail, they should at least be removed from their position, right?"
