When the girl was with Finger, she lived in constant fear, and she couldn't sleep well at night. However, after being brought here by Louis, for some reason, she felt that Louis wouldn't harm her. Her mood relaxed, and the fatigue of the past few days swept over her. Unconsciously, she fell asleep. The girl slept very comfortably, feeling like she was at home. Suddenly, someone pushed her, and in her drowsy state, she thought it was her father calling her to wake up. She covered her head with the blanket and mumbled, "Daddy, let me sleep a little longer!"
Louis couldn't help but laugh and shake his head upon hearing this. Could he really be that old? The girl was in a daze, and it appeared she wouldn't get up unless he physically pulled her out of bed. With that in mind, Louis grabbed the girl's blanket and pulled it aside. What happened next left Louis dumbfounded. It turned out that the little girl had discarded her dirty clothes before going to bed and was only wearing her underwear. Louis blushed intensely as he gazed upon the half-naked girl. Closing his eyes and covering her once again with the blanket, he couldn't help but think how she lacked self-preservation instincts. An indescribable anger welled up inside Louis, and he shouted, "Get up~~~!!"
The loud sound made all the guys outside the door jump in fright. They exchanged glances and shook their heads in silent disapproval.
The girl, on the other hand, was the most startled. She was jolted out of bed, stood on it, looked around, and finally, her gaze landed on Louis's face as she asked with confusion, "D-did an earthquake happen?" Louis didn't say anything, just stared at the girl.
The girl was still unaware of the danger and looked at Louis, puzzled, "What's wrong with you? Are you scared?" Louis sighed inwardly; this girl was truly testing his patience. He said loudly, "Hurry up and get up!"
This statement woke the girl up, and she looked down, realizing that she was only wearing her underwear while standing on the bed. She screamed and quickly hid under the blanket. Louis shook his head and said, "You have five minutes!" Then he walked out of the room.
After Louis left the room and closed the door, he leaned against the wall and took a deep breath. His face was still flushed, and he couldn't help but feel ashamed of his thoughts from just moments ago.
After a while, the little girl came out of the room, head down, wearing a dirty dress. Louis looked at her frail figure and said softly, "Are you hungry? I'll take you to get something to eat."
The little girl didn't say anything, she just nodded and continued to feel embarrassed about what had happened earlier. Louis blushed at the thought of exposing himself. Even though she was young, it didn't necessarily mean she understood less about matters between men and women than Louis.
Louis led the girl to a fast-food restaurant in the city center. He ordered two chicken legs and a cola for her. Watching the girl devour her food, Louis's hatred for Finger grew stronger. He said to the girl, "Where is your home? I'll take you back tomorrow!"
The girl was surprised and put down the chicken leg in her hand. She looked at Louis hesitantly and asked, "Are you...Are you really going to let me go?"
Louis teased, "You eat so much; I'm afraid I won't be able to afford you! Let me take you home early."
The girl's eyes welled up with tears, and tears rolled down her cheeks. She grabbed Louis's hand and said, "Thank you, you're a good guy!" She burst into tears, letting out all the grievances she had accumulated over the past few days. She felt that this boy in front of her was like a family member, and being with him gave her a sense of comfort and security.
Seeing the curious glances from people around them, Louis patted the girl's hand, feeling a bit awkward, and said, "Don't cry anymore, you won't look pretty if you keep crying. Look, so many people are looking at you!" The girl raised her head to look around, and indeed, everyone in the restaurant was casting curious glances at her. Feeling a bit embarrassed, the girl leaned her head against Louis's chest and didn't dare to look up.
Louis gently stroked the girl's hair and smiled at her innocent and shy demeanor. He thought, "It would be nice to have a sister like her!"
After a while, the girl finally mustered the courage to lift her head and look around. At this point, no one was paying attention to them anymore. The girl let out a sigh of relief, and her cute expression elicited another chuckle from Louis. Louis felt that being with this girl was really fun; she always managed to surprise him, and his previously gloomy mood had improved. However, it was a pity that they would have to part ways tomorrow.
Louis suddenly remembered something and asked, "You haven't told me your name yet. Where is your home?"
The little girl replied softly, "My home is in H City, and my name is Amy. How about you?"
Amy, Louis silently repeated the name in his mind and smiled, saying, "That's a nice name. I'm Louis!" The girl didn't say anything but engraved that name deep in her heart.
J City was still bustling at night. Various shops along the commercial street were open for business, their entrances adorned with colorful neon lights, illuminating the entire street brightly. Walking here on a summer night was a pleasure. Without the daytime noise, there was a certain tranquility to the night.
Louis and Amy came out of the restaurant. Seeing that Amy's clothes were too dirty, he checked his pocket and found he had less than $50. He usually didn't buy much, and even if he did, it was friends who bought things for him; the money he had on him was his allowance for meals from his parents. Louis had wanted to buy some clothes for the girl, but the money he had wasn't enough. He shook his head, thinking he had it tough enough. People from his association carried more money than him, and he decided he needed to carry more from now on, just in case.
Louis led Amy to a night market. Louis bought a set of clothes and a new pair of shoes for her. Amy watched Louis negotiating with the shop owner and couldn't stop laughing.
Finally, the two of them took a ride to Louis's home. Louis explained to his parents that Amy had been deceived by bad guys and managed to escape when they weren't looking. He had encountered her and decided to help her out. She had no place to stay for the night, so he brought her home, and she would return home the next day. Louis's parents felt sympathy for Amy and agreed to let her stay for the night. In the end, Amy slept in Louis's room, and he had to make do with the sofa in the living room.

The next morning, Louis took Amy to the train station and bought two tickets to H City. Then he arranged for someone from Spring KTV to accompany Amy back home. Before leaving, Louis looked at Amy, whose eyes were red from crying, and whispered, "Please don't mention anything about Finger when you get back home. I'll make sure to deal with him. Okay?"
Amy nodded, her voice choked up as she said, "Don't worry, I won't say anything. I'll come back to see you!"
Louis also felt a heavy heart, waved goodbye, and bid farewell to Amy. He couldn't help but think about when he would see this adorable little girl again. H City! It was the provincial capital and also the target of his future development.
After sending Amy away, Louis went to Ghost KTV to find Steven. When they met, Louis asked, "How's everything going?" Steven replied, "We haven't fully figured out Slash's situation yet, but I managed to buy back the phone." Saying this, Steven handed a black phone to Louis and shared the number with him.
Louis took a look at it, made a call to Finger, and gave him the phone number, which Finger noted down. After hanging up, Louis told Steven, "No matter what, we need to uncover Slash's situation today. Once Eric returns, we'll take action!"
Upon hearing this, Steven's blood boiled, and he exclaimed loudly, "Louis, don't worry! If we don't find out today, I won't come back!" With that, he left with a few others.
Before noon, Eric and the others who had been detained were all released. When Eric saw Louis, he shouted, "Louis!"
Louis turned to look at Eric, his face bruised and battered, knowing that he had been through a lot. He said, "How are you? You've suffered in there, haven't you?"
Eric felt a pang of sadness and replied, "My suffering is nothing compared to what Jack is going through. How's Jack?"
Louis shook his head and said, "He hasn't passed the critical stage yet. Whether he lives or dies depends on his own efforts."
Eric wiped away a tear and said firmly, "Louis, I won't let Slash get away with this. When are we going to settle the score with them?"
Louis replied, "We'll wait until we've uncovered their secrets. When the time comes, we'll make sure to get back everything they owe us, twofold." Eric nodded in agreement.
At noon, Steven returned to Ghost KTV after gathering information and seeing Eric back. He warmly hugged Eric, and neither of them said a word.
Louis said, "We'll have a meeting at Spring KTV in the afternoon! Eric, you go back to school now and have everyone prepared for tonight's operation!" Eric nodded in response.
In the afternoon, Louis and Steven, along with others, analyzed Slash's situation in detail, quickly devised an attack plan, and began making arrangements.
At ten o'clock in the evening, a light drizzle began to fall, and there were few pedestrians on the streets. Slash's leader, Amos, sat alone on the couch with over a hundred people standing below him. Amos was delighted; he had just received a call informing him that Nightmare was planning to withdraw from Ghost KTV tonight. Ghost KTV, currently unoccupied, would soon belong to him. The thought of having control over two KTVs brought a smile to Amos's face.
"Listen up, everyone. We're heading to Ghost KTV shortly. Nightmare has already run away, and from now on, that place belongs to us!" Amos stood up and shouted loudly to his subordinates. His followers cheered and chanted, "We'll follow Amos forever!"
Amos laughed triumphantly upon hearing their response. He had a good reason to be happy; having control over two KTVs meant having two sources of income, and his power would increase significantly.
Amos continued, "Get ready, everyone. Let's go and take over Ghost KTV now. Tonight, I'll treat you all to drinks! We'll share the money we earn from now on!" The crowd below erupted in cheers once again. Amos had achieved his current position not by chance but through his exceptional abilities.
Amos left some of his people behind to guard the entrance while he led fifty others, marching boldly toward Ghost KTV. There were no pedestrians on the road, and even vehicles were unusually scarce. Amos and his group walked in the middle of the road, and when cars passed by, they made way upon seeing their formidable presence.
Ghost KTV was not far away. In less than ten minutes, the large sign of Ghost KTV loomed in the distance. Amos suppressed his excitement and loudly exclaimed to his subordinates, "We're almost at Ghost KTV, Everyone, hurry up!" With that, he took the lead and ran forward.
When they were almost at the entrance of Ghost KTV, they noticed a person standing in front of it. This person covered their mouth with a black cloth, had a robust build, and held a large knife about a foot and a half long, with the handle wrapped in white cloth.
Amos and his companions were taken aback but approached the person. When they got closer, Amos burst into laughter and said loudly, "Who dares to block my path? It turns out to be my incompetent subordinate, Steven!" Amos recognized the person as Steven by the scar in the middle of his eyebrows.
Steven gave a cold smile and said in a sinister tone, "Amos, you're going to die today!"
Amos hesitated for a moment, looked around, and saw no one else around, so he mustered his courage and said, "Is that so? You think you can make me die with just yourself?"
Steven replied coldly, "Amos, my friend was stabbed seventeen times. I'm going to make it twice as much on you!" He then shouted, "Kill them!" Numerous young men wielding knives emerged from the alleys on both sides of the street and rushed towards Amos and his group.
With rage in his eyes, Steven charged straight at Amos. Amos realized he had been deceived and cursed Viv silently, thinking, "You dared to deceive me! You'll pay for this later." Steven didn't give him a chance to think further, swinging his knife at Amos. Amos, not to be underestimated, easily dodged and then quickly retreated a few steps. He drew the blade from his waist and clashed with Steven.
Amos and Steven were evenly matched in strength and roughly equal in skill, but Steven's aura was much more intense. Driven by the desire to avenge Jack, he swung his knife at Amos with nearly full force. Amos struggled to defend for a while, but his hands were soon numb from the impact. Eventually, he dared not confront Steven's heavy blows head-on and had to evade them.
Amos' guys below were also not spared; they felt that these people on the other side were not here to fight but to fight to the death. Every strike was lethal. Over a hundred people from both sides engaged in a fierce gang battle in front of Ghost KTV. The place was filled with flashing knives, and there were cries of agony as people fell.
Just when both sides were evenly matched, an old, beaten-up truck came racing from the distance. The truck stopped by the battlefield, and over forty people got off it. After getting out of the truck, they drew their knives and charged towards Amos.
With the arrival of this group, the balance of power gradually shifted in their favor. Amos' men were occasionally struck down. Among these newcomers, a tall teenager stood on the truck and scanned the battlefield. When he saw Amos, who was locked in combat with Steven, his cold eyes suddenly lit up. Without a word, he jumped off the truck and drew a long knife, then swiftly moved behind Amos. While Amos and Steven were fiercely battling each other, they didn't notice the looming threat from behind.
With a ruthless swing, the tall teenager's knife landed heavily on Amos' back, leaving a deep gash almost two feet long, reaching the bone. Amos cried out in agony, unable to react in time, and staggered to the side.
He reached behind to touch his back, which was now covered in blood. Amos had no time to spare, so he turned and fled. Seeing the situation, Steven shouted, "Stop him!" Two people ran out onto the battlefield and blocked Amos' path with their knives. Amos, also furious, charged towards them without hesitation. The two men thrust their knives, with one hitting Amos' shoulder and the other piercing his lower abdomen's skin. Amos gritted his teeth, swung his knife across the chests of the two attackers, and, regardless of how injured they were, pushed them aside, fleeing for his life.
