Chapter 32 Raid

Chapter 32 Raid

Louis exclaimed, "Jerry, from now on, you will train the Ninja independently. Feel free to make any requests!"

Jerry pondered for a moment and replied, "Scouts need to have exceptional physical abilities and sharp minds, but most importantly, they must be able to endure hardship that others can't."

Louis said, "You have the authority to select guys, and if someone doesn't meet the standards, you can reject them. You can also recruit from other departments."

Jerry was delighted by Louis's trust and agreed with a nod. All Ninja members would be chosen and trained by Jerry. Eventually, Nightmare's Ninja division split in two, with Blood becoming a formidable force, something Louis hadn't anticipated.

Over the next month, Nightmare intensified their training. Each morning started with a 5km run and various physical exercises, followed by boxing lessons from Leo. Those under Jerry's command had a tougher time. They not only ran five kilometers daily but also underwent firearm training in the outskirts, survival training in the wilderness, and learned various combat skills. After a month, Nightmare's members made significant leaps in physical fitness and combat skills, developing a level of discipline akin to regular soldiers that other gangs lacked.

During this period, Louis trained alongside Jerry, purchased twenty AK47 rifles from Dragon and other small gangs, and distributed the forty rifles previously acquired from Dragon among various branches. He also sent people to secretly monitor Sam's daily life.

Louis sat alone in a private room at Ghost KTV, closed his eyes, leaned back on the sofa, and contemplated the actions he was about to undertake. Unconsciously, he began to think about his experiences over the past year. He had transformed from a student into a formidable leader who now ruled the southern territories. The process in between felt like a dream. What did he want? Louis had asked himself this question many times before, but it had always been a vague concept in his mind. However, as Nightmare grew stronger with each passing day, one word had gradually become clear in his mind: conquest! Over the past few months, every time Nightmare absorbed another gang, Louis felt a certain pleasure, a sensation that ordinary people couldn't experience. Thinking about this, he chuckled and cursed himself as a born villain.

After a while, Louis stood up from the sofa, took a deep breath, and opened the door to the private room. Outside the door, Nightmare's members had already gathered, with the core of the gang prominently present. Seeing Louis emerge, they all bowed and said in unison, "Louis!"

Louis glanced at everyone and said, "Now, everyone proceed according to the plan! We strike at 8:00 p.m.!"

"Yes!" The crowd responded eagerly, and they led their subordinates toward Sam's territory as soon as they heard Louis's instructions. The only one who didn't leave was Alan; the Enforcement Department's role in this operation was to protect Louis.

In this operation, Jack and six others would attack Sam's seven dance halls, while Louis and his group would target Sam's location: the Northern Hotel, which was more than just a hotel, in reality, it was a secret underground casino.

Louis said to Alan, "Alan, announce to the public at 7:00 p.m. that Nightmare is going to war with Sam tonight."

"Yes!" Alan nodded in agreement.

Louis checked the time; it was 5:00 p.m. He turned and went back to the private room, picked up his phone, and called Emmanuel. The two of them talked for about ten minutes. Alan stood outside and couldn't hear the content of their conversation, but based on Louis's expression, it seemed like they were satisfied with the outcome. After finishing the call, Louis lay on the sofa and pretended to sleep. Alan didn't dare to disturb him and stood quietly at the door.

At 7:00 p.m., news of Nightmare declaring war on Sam spread. At 7:10 p.m., Emmanuel, the leader of Dragon, publicly announced despite strong opposition from two elders that Dragon was officially at war with Tiger.

At 7:30 p.m. Louis and Alan, along with fifty guys, left Ghost KTV. Several vans were parked outside. Louis and his group got into the vans and headed straight for the largest underground casino in the southern city—the Northern Hotel.

The casino inside is owned by Sam, and it offers a wide variety of gambling equipment and categories. Moreover, it's very safe here and has a great reputation throughout the city. The casino is open 24/7, and it has a continuous stream of customers year-round. Sam values this place highly and usually spends his evenings here. This is also the reason why Louis and others come here.

Twenty minutes later, the van stopped in a dim alley not far from the Northern Hotel. The alley deep inside was crowded with people, and Steven and the Dragon Hall brothers had been waiting there for a while. When Louis' car arrived, Steven rushed over.

Louis got out of the car and nodded at Steven, saying, "Is everything ready?"

Steven replied in a low voice, "We're ready."

Louis thought for a moment and said, "Alright! Let's proceed!" Steven and Alan exchanged glances but didn't speak. Everyone took black clothes out of their pockets to cover their mouths. Steven and his companion led the two hundred people and charged toward the Northern Hotel. Louis got back in the van and instructed the driver to stop at the entrance of the gambling city. Louis sat in the car with a smile on his face, playing with an eight-inch long dagger he took out from his waist and said to the driver, "Call the other brothers and start the operation!"

The driver nodded and picked up his phone to dial a number...

Steven rushed into the North Hotel first. As soon as he entered the lobby, the guard at the door saw someone suddenly barging in. He ran over and asked loudly: "What are you doing?" Steven didn't say anything, knowing that these guys were Sam's subordinates and there was no need to be polite to them. He ran up to the guard, squinted his eyes, and said, "Go to hell!" As he said that, Steven put his arm around the other guy's neck quickly drew a knife with the other hand, and stabbed the guard in the abdomen. The knife was still the same machete Steven used before, and blood spurted out from the blood groove on the blade. The guard screamed, grabbing Steven's clothes and staring in disbelief.

Steven didn't stop, he kicked away the dying guard and continued running forward. The man's cries before his death alerted other guards, and more than a dozen disheveled young men ran out of the side door of the hall. Before they knew what was going on, Steven and his guys had already arrived. With a low growl, Steven held the knife to his backhand. The light of the knife flashed in the air, and a half-foot-long gash was opened in the chests of the two guards. The two of them opened their mouths, but before they could scream, Steven quickly slashed their throats with the knife. Alan looked back and nodded secretly. Steven's fighting skills have been honed over a long period of actual combat and have now reached a staggering level. Alan snorted, unwilling to fall behind, and followed Steven to kill.

Steven walked in front, waving the machete in his hand, and from time to time someone fell to the ground. Ignoring the fallen guys, Steven rushed into the room where the guards came out. Inside there was a naked, tall young man who was twitching back and forth on top of a coquettishly dressed woman. It seemed that the noise outside did not affect him. There were five or six naked women nearby. Steven walked over with a smile on his face.

Five or six women nearby suddenly saw a man walking in covered in blood, and screamed, "Ah~~~". The young man finally sensed something was wrong, quickly got up from the woman, and took out a handful of 54s under the pillow. But he was still slow. Steven walked in front of him in two steps and stabbed the blade straight into his open mouth. The tip of the knife was exposed from the back of the young man's head, and blood flowed from his mouth and back of his head onto the bed. When he was dying, he didn't understand why someone would suddenly come in. Weren't there already more than ten people outside?

The woman next to her had never seen such a bloody scene before. Several people were terrified and screamed loudly. At this moment, a few people heard the screams and rushed in. They were first surprised and then asked Steven, "Steven, who are these women...?"

Steven knew that these women could not be kept and that he did not have the extra power to take care of them. He gritted his teeth and said: "Kill them all!" After saying that, he walked out, and the screams of women before they died could be heard in the room. In the hall, more than ten guards were all chopped down. Alan was leading his brothers to clean up the battlefield. He pulled more than a dozen guards who did not know whether to live or die into the bathroom and cleaned up the blood stains on the floor.

Steven whispered, "Alan, the back door is yours." Alan nodded and replied, "Don't worry, Sam won't escape."

Steven led his group upstairs. The fight in the hallway had been quick, with only a few cries heard, and everything had returned to calm. On the second floor, Steven walked to the front. They could hear voices coming from one of the rooms.

"I thought I heard someone on the first floor just now."

"Don't be paranoid. There are over a dozen people downstairs watching. What are you afraid of? Hurry up and play your hand!"

"Don't be silly, I really think I heard something. I'll go check."

"What a bother..."

Steven glanced back at his comrades and gestured towards the room where the voices were coming from. They all understood and positioned themselves on either side of the room's entrance. Before long, the room's door opened, and several people walked out. As they stepped outside, they suddenly noticed that everyone at the door was wearing black masks and couldn't speak. One of them was puzzled and asked, "Who are you guys..."

The words below didn't wait for him to finish speaking. The people on both sides surged forward, knocking down several people. Then they rushed into the room. There were more than ten people inside who realized the situation was bad. They picked up weapons and joined the fight against the intruders. Due to the narrowness of the room, the advantage of having more people couldn't be fully utilized, so they could only engage in one-on-one combat with the opponents. At this moment, Leo's training results became evident. The guys had an absolute advantage in both strength and skill. In less than half a minute, several of Sam's guys were knocked down in the room. It seemed like one of these men was the leader among them. He hid in a corner, nervously taking out his phone from his pocket and calling Sam. "It's not good, someone's trying to steal..."

Just as he said this, a man rushed over, cut off his hand with a knife, and then trampled the phone that was still clutched by the severed hand to pieces. The man screamed in pain and fell to the ground, howling desperately. Someone next to him stabbed him in the chest, ending his pain.

Although the phone call was interrupted, Sam still received it. He wasn't a fool and immediately figured out what was going on, suspecting that someone was launching an attack. He hurriedly called his guys from other locations, hoping to get their assistance. However, after calling for a while, no one answered the phone. Sam had a bad feeling about this. Normally, his men would quickly pick up the phone. Now, he called seven different locations, and no one answered. Unless...

Sam didn't dare to think further and rushed down from the third floor with all his men.

Between the staircases, he coincidentally met Steven and his group. Both sides engaged in hand-to-hand combat within the stairwell. Steven brandished a machete, clashing with Sam. Sam attempted to draw his gun several times but was interrupted by Steven. After a fierce battle, Sam realized that the enemy outnumbered him, so he retreated to the third floor. Steven and his men were about to pursue when Sam's men arrived. They quickly picked up guns and fired down, causing seven or eight people to fall.

The hotel guests, who had heard screams earlier and were too frightened to leave their rooms, now heard continuous gunshots. This terrified them even more, and they started calling the police.

Steven and his group retreated and saw their fallen comrades on the staircase. They cursed loudly. The surprise attack was now exposed; there was no need to hide anymore. Steven and his dozen or so men took out their guns and started firing back at the third floor. Both sides were in a short standoff, with bullets flying between the second and third floors of the staircase. Steven was getting desperate, but the enemy's firepower was too intense. Charging upstairs would only lead to certain death. Sam was even more anxious, with his seven locations in grave danger. He was cornered on the third floor.

Sam quickly took out his phone and called Tiger. "This is Sam. We're under attack. You need to come and rescue us!"

"What? Dragon is attacking you, and we don't have any spare manpower?!" Sam got so frustrated that he smashed his phone and shouted to his men, "Fight for me! If we make it out of this alive, I'll give each of you a hundred thousand!" His words pumped everyone up, and more than thirty people opened fire, aiming at the floor below.

Steven saw his guys pinned against the wall, unable to return fire effectively, and he was sweating profusely in desperation. At some point, Alan appeared behind Steven, patting him on the shoulder. Steven jumped in surprise and turned to see Alan. He asked loudly, "How did you get up here? Weren't you supposed to guard the back door?" Alan replied, "He can't escape! Here, use these!" He handed Steven two grenades.

"What are these?" Steven was astonished. He recognized these grenades from the last batch of weapons they had acquired, but Louis had never allowed their use.

Alan glanced at the situation on the third floor and said quietly, "I was afraid something like this might happen today, so I specifically requested two of them. Don't worry; I didn't steal them."

Steven responded, "I didn't say you stole them..." Taking the grenades from Alan, Steven pulled the pins. Although it was his first time using them, he knew enough to get by. He smiled at everyone, waved, and threw the grenades at the staircase wall. The grenades bounced off the wall and landed on the third floor. There was a brief scream followed by a deafening explosion. Steven felt the ground shake beneath his feet, and smoke filled the building. The firing from the third floor stopped.
