"Seeing Louis fall to the ground, Steven laughed and said, “Looks like I've won?” He turned around and picked up his clothes and put them on.
“I don’t think so.” Louis said and stood up. Without pain on his face, Louis’s eyes gleamed with a cold light. “You...” Steven knew the force of the two kicks he had just delivered wasn't something an ordinary person could endure.
“I underestimated you!” Steven took large strides towards Louis and raised his leg, kicking Louis in the face. Louis didn't fall. Then came another kick. Louis took three steps back but remained standing. Blood flowed from his nose and the corners of his mouth, and his cheeks swelled. Spitting out some blood, Louis smiled faintly.
Steven feels a bit scared. He yelled out, "Go down!" Using all his strength, he threw a punch at Louis. Louis's trembling body suddenly crouched down, and Steven's punch missed as his body lunged forward. Louis's unsteady body became agile, and he quickly drew the knife from his waist, stabbing it into Steven's side. The blade pierced the flesh and stopped, and Louis pulled the knife back, pointing it at Steven and said, "You were already dead just now."
Steven touched the wound on his side and leaned against the wall, bowing his head in silence. Louis stood quietly, waiting for his response. Jack, with an excited expression, whispered to Eric, "Louis won!" Eric nodded, his hand on the hilt of his knife, slowly moving towards the center of the scene. Even though Steven had lost, it didn't mean he was without fighting spirit. Eric was afraid that Steven couldn't accept the loss and might try to attack Louis.
After a while, Steven raised his head and looked at Louis, saying, "I'm a bit unwilling. But a man's word is his bond. I lost! From now on, you're my boss. As long as you give the word, I'd give you my life." After speaking, he respectfully bowed.
Louis smiled, then everything turned black in his eyes. Louis fainted. Steven quickly wrap his arms around Louis and shouting loudly, "Call an ambulance!" Before the words were even finished, Jack had already rushed out to find a car.
Steven and the others took Louis to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with multiple cartilage injuries, some internal bleeding, and a mild concussion. He needed to stay in the hospital for treatment. Jack called Louis' parents and informed them that Louis was injured by car accident, and he was now in the hospital. Louis' parents, upon hearing the news, hurriedly rushed to the hospital. Jack and the others comforted and explained, eventually reassuring Louis' parents. To increase credibility, Jack grabbed Steven and said, "It was him who was driving and hit Louis!" Eric and the others nodded in agreement, while Steven scratched his head, embarrassedly chuckling.
Half a month later, Louis had mostly recovered, and the doctors said he would be fine after a bit more rest. On this day, only his parents came to pick him up from the hospital. Steven and the others had been informed not to come. Louis didn't want his parents to see these people.
Back at home, his parents prepared a big meal to celebrate his release from the hospital. Looking at the table filled with food, Louis felt a sense of guilt that how they would feel if they knew he ended up in the hospital because of a fight. Louis felt sorry for his parents, but at the same time, he couldn't give up his current life. In these days of passionate indulgence, he believed that nothing in the world could bring him more happiness than being respected by others. At least, that's how he felt for now.
Louis didn't know he was doing right or wrong, but one thing was certain: he liked current life. Perhaps he was just born a troublemaker. For now, Louis pushed his worries aside and happily enjoyed the meal with his parents.
Next day, Louis returned to school. He saw about fifty people standing across the street from the school gate, and a smile formed at the corners of Louis' mouth. He spotted Steven and Eric sitting on the ground. Jack stood beside them, saying something loudly enough for Louis, who was quite far away, to hear. When the three of them saw Louis approaching, they stood up and shouted, "Get in position, everyone. Louis is coming!"
The people around quickly lined up in two rows. As Louis walked closer, they all shouted in unison, "Hello, Louis!" Steven scratched his head, looked at Louis with embarrassment, and said, "Louis, I'm really sorry to hurt you. Thanks for not letting that knife go in. The doctor told me the wound was close to my liver." Louis smiled and replied, "If I let the knife go in, would I still have a good guy like you?" Louis reached out his hand toward Steven. A hint of emotion passed through Steven's eyes as he tightly grabbed Louis' hand. Jack and Eric also came over and placed their hands on top, and the hands of the four of them clenched tightly together, just like their destinies, inseparable and intertwined.
None of them spoke. They wished to let the excitement of this moment stay in their hearts forever. Louis is a true hero in their mind. They believed that as long as Louis was there, no difficulty could defeat them. A hero isn't meant to talked a lot; they can only be proven through actions.

After a while, the four of them finally released their hands. Jack took out a bulging paper bag from his pocket and handed it to Louis, saying, "Louis, this is the money collected in this week. It's a lot more than before!" Louis calculated the money and said, "Use this money to treat everyone to dinner tonight."
Jack was very happy because he enjoyed eating and drinking. He smiled and said, "Thank you, Louis!" He then turned to the people around him and shouted, "Gather at the entrance tonight. Louis is treating everyone to dinner!"
"That's awesome!" everyone cheered in delight.
Louis called his parents that he was invited for friend’s birthday party, and that he would be back home later. Then, along with Steven, Jack, and Eric, he led more than fifty people to a moderately sized restaurant. Steven chose a clean table and arranged for everyone to be seated. Louis, Steven, Eric, and Jack sat together.
The restaurant owner, hearing from the waitstaff that over fifty people had arrived, feared that something was wrong and hurried out to greet them, saying, "Hey guys, it's my honor that your bodies come to my restaurant. Eat whatever you like, and this meal is my treat!"
The restaurant owner is around thirty years old, with a slightly chubby figure. Jack asked, "Are you the owner of this restaurant?"
The owner walked over and said, "Yes, I'm the owner of this restaurant."
Jack pointed to Louis beside him and said, "Today, we're here in your restaurant to treat everyone to a meal. "
The owner let out a sigh of relief and said, "No need to be polite with me. I am very happy that you choose my restaurant for dinner. This meal is my treat!"
Louis waved his hand and said, "Thank you for your kindness, we just wanted to have a dinner. Please arrange some delicious dishes for us. We won't let you lose out."
The owner smiled and said, "Sure! I'll arrange the dishes!" Louis nodded, and the owner turned and went to the kitchen.
Jack laughed, "The restaurant’s owner is quite eloquent!” “He isn't an ordinary person," said Eric. Steven glanced at the table, feeling like something was missing, "We're so engrossed in listening to the owner that we forgot about the food." Then he shouted, "Waiter, Take some beer!"
Several waiters quickly brought in bottled beer. Steven poured the beer and stood up, saying, "Guys, let's raise our first glass to Louis. Celebrating Louis being discharged from the hospital." Everyone stood up together and said, "Congratulations on getting discharged, Louis!"
Louis stood up, smiling and said, "Thank you, everyone!" The restaurant resounded with the clinking of glasses.
As people chatted back and forth, and even before all the dishes were served, quite a few people were already drunk under the table.
Louis didn't drink much beer. He chatted while drinking. Steven touched his glass and said, "Louis, should we establish an organization? With the increasing number of guys, it's difficult to manage without a proper organization!"
Jack and Eric had this idea early on. Eric said, "Steven is right. If we want to expand, we must have our own organization." Jack added, "Exactly, just like our local organization: Black Jack. It would give us quite a presence!" (Black Jack is an old gang in the city, recognized as a prominent organized crime group.)
Louis remained silent. He also wanted to establish an organization, but it was quite challenging to execute. Louis took a sip from his glass and said, "I'm not against having an organization, but with that comes a surge in membership. We'd have to rely on the organization for everything – food, drinks, entertainment. Do you have plan to support?" The other three were taken aback. Louis raised his glass to his lips and took a quiet sip before continuing, "Our current funds mainly come from students. In a month, we can't gather more than $5000t. It’s not enough to sustain an organization? Even if we manage to establish one now, we'll likely dissolve quickly."
Eric asked, "Louis, what's your plan, then?" Louis smiled faintly, playing with his glass. Jack cannot wait and asked, "Louis, tell us, we're all follow you!"
Louis looked at them and slowly said, "Right now, you should focus on studying!"
Jack and Eric were dumbfounded. "Focus on studying?"
"Yes, you should put effort into your studies now. In the second half of the year, during application season, you all need to get into X University!"
Steven asked, "And what about me?" Louis replied, "You should continue managing Spring KTV and expand your influence."
Steven agreed, "Louis, I understand. We are too small to influence other area, and we're far from becoming part of the underworld."
Louis nodded appreciatively and said to Jack, "Jack, Eric, learn more from Steven." Eric still didn't understand and asked, "Why do we have to go to X university?" Louis stood up, his eyes unusually bright, and said, "To control X university!"
Jack and Eric were shocked, "Control X university?!" Jack continued, "I'm really looking forward to it! X university is very famous!" He then turned to Eric, "Do you know how many criminals are caught from X university every year?" Eric shook his head.
Jack said, "According to incomplete statistics, 2% of criminals come from X university!"
Steven and Eric looked at Louis together: "Really?"
Louis said, "I'm not entirely sure, but I don't think this information is very reliable!"
Steven and Eric exchanged a glance, and laughed, "Oh! It's just made up, huh?" Jack hurriedly said, "What I said is true, believe me!"
Steven and Eric simultaneously extended their middle fingers, turned their heads, and ignored him.
Everyone enjoyed the dinner very much. When settling the bill, the restaurant owner waived the beer expenses. Louis hadn't drunk much, he remained sober mentally, but his body was a bit out of control. Eric and Steven weren't drunk either, only Jack was intoxicated. He alternated between holding Louis' hand, crying with tears, joking and laughing with Eric, and then going to kiss Steven's cheek. In the end, they came to a conclusion: they can't let Jack get drunk again. Eric called a car to take Jack home. Steven offered to take Louis, but Louis politely declined.
