Steven asked Jerry, "What should we do?" Jerry thought for a moment and said to the guard, "Tell me where Asa is, he's in big trouble today. We are Nightmare, and if you tell me, I'll consider letting you join us, giving you a chance to survive. If you don't tell me, you'll die right now!"
The guard looked at the two of them and whispered, "Asa... Asa is on the third floor, second door on the left when you go upstairs!"
Jerry looked into the guard's eyes and demanded, "You didn't deceive me, right?" The guard nodded in response. A guy's eyes don't lie. Jerry glanced at Steven, who understood what to do. He smiled at the guard, and simultaneously, the knife plunged into the guard's throat. Steven and Jerry both knew that such a cowardly guy would never enter Nightmare and keeping him around would only be troublesome...
The two of them waved to the guys in the corridor and signaled to Louis who was running towards them, "Louis, Asa is on the third floor. What's the plan?"
Louis replied, "We have to eliminate Asa, and we can't let the others go easily!" Louis asked Leo to stay on the first floor for backup, while also taking out any enemies in the rooms on the first floor if they alerted them.
Louis, along with Steven and Jerry, went upstairs. He felt like someone was following him closely, and when he turned to look, he saw a young and pretty girl. Louis didn't recognize her and didn't pay much attention. This girl was Anne, following Jerry's orders to guard Louis from behind.
They took care of several guards at the staircase along the way and finally reached the third floor. Arriving at the second door on the left, Jerry whispered, "This is it!" Then, he pulled out a pistol from his pocket. Louis nodded to the others, and everyone took out their guns. Steven shouted, "Let's go!" and kicked open the door, leading the charge inside.
Steven saw a man and a woman lying on the bed. The man sat up when he heard the noise. He looked somewhat similar to Asa. Steven guessed that this guy was probably Asa. He raised his hand and shot two guns. The gunshots were like two huge thunders in the silent building, echoing in the corridors. The man on the bed didn't make a sound, his skull was smashed into pieces. The woman next to her screamed in fright, but Steven ignored her. When he saw that the guy on the bed was dead, he immediately stepped out.
At this moment, there was chaos in the building. The guys from Devil's side heard gunshots and didn't know what was happening. They stumbled out of their rooms, still half-asleep. But as soon as they came out, they were ambushed by people waiting at the door. It's unclear who shouted first, "Something's wrong, the enemy is launching a surprise attack!"
The guys of Devil finally woke up as if from a dream, picked up weapons, and came out of the room to fight against the guys of Nightmare. Gunfire and shouts of killing echoed throughout the building as a massive melee involving hundreds of people unfolded.
Louis, feeling uneasy, loudly asked Steven, "Steven, is Asa in the room?"
Steven replied, "I couldn't see very clearly, but it seemed blurry like it might be Asa!"
Louis pushed the door and walked in, with Anne following him. The sky outside was only dimly lit, and Louis couldn't make out the face of the guy on the bed. He reached into his pocket, took out a photo, and compared it to the body on the bed, but he found nothing. The guy's face was covered in bloodstains and appeared somewhat distorted.
The woman on the bed kept screaming as soon as Louis entered. Louis became greatly annoyed and yelled, "Shut up!"
The woman seemed not to have heard him and continued her high-pitched wailing. Louis slapped her across the face from behind and said, "Shut up!" The woman was slapped awake, and glared at Louis with anger, "You murderer! You're a beast!"
Louis pointed at the body on the bed and asked, "Is he Asa?"
The woman nervously laughed and reached under the pillow with one hand, saying, "I won't tell you, even if you kill me..." As she spoke, the woman suddenly pulled out a handgun from under the pillow and aimed it at Louis, pulling the trigger.

Louis was unprepared and was too careless. He didn't expect that a woman with a mental disorder could shoot him, so he instinctively leaned down. The moment the woman pulled the trigger, a flying knife pierced her stomach like lightning. The huge pain made her tilt her hand, and the bullet grazed Louis' arm and flew out. The woman gritted her teeth and was about to fire the second shot, but her whole body froze, and a sharp knife pierced her heart. The guy holding the knife was Anne.
When the woman reached for the pillow, Louis didn't pay attention, but Anne saw her subtle movement. She stood silently behind Louis and quietly took out a throwing knife as a precaution. Sure enough, the woman pulled out a handgun from under the pillow and aimed it at Louis, but Anne was prepared and threw her a knife.
Louis was dumbfounded for a moment, and the pain in his arm made him react. He reached out and touched the woman's neck, but there was no pulse. Louis sighed and turned to look at Anne. Thinking that Louis might blame herself for not leaving the woman alive, Anne explained, "I saw she had a gun in her hand, and I was afraid you were in danger, so..."
Louis smiled gratefully and said, "It's okay, I'm not blaming you. Thank you for saving my life!" Then he looked at Anne carefully and asked, "What's your name?" Anne, feeling her heart racing as Louis stared at her without blinking, lowered her head and said, "My name is Anne."
"Anne? That's a nice name!" Louis nodded at Anne and walked out of the room, still a little worried about the true identity of the guy on the bed.
Outside, the battle is still ongoing. The number of Nightmare members is greater than that of the Devils, and they came prepared, leaving their opponents disoriented. However, the Devils are brave and tenacious fighters, putting up a strong resistance. The ground is covered with injured people. Louis looks at his watch and says loudly, "Everyone, hurry up! We have only ten minutes left! Henry, have your people carry out the injured first!"
Henry directed others to transport the wounded out. Others stepped up their attack, as time was running out. Devil gradually couldn't withstand Nightmare's powerful attacks and retreated steadily. Some guys were forced to retreat to their rooms, with nowhere to escape. They were stabbed several times and fell to the ground covered in blood. Those who were not dead shouted hoarsely. The three floors of the Devil's headquarters were full of people fighting, with swords and guns raised, shouts, wailing, and continuous gunshots intertwined together. The blood on the ground and the desperate people made the whole building feel like hell on earth, filled with the smell of blood. In the desperate fight, both sides suffered a lot of casualties. When Louis saw that they were about the same, he waved and shouted: "Retreat!"
Nightmares gathered towards the direction of the stairs. Louis led the group downstairs. The first-floor Devil's people had been mostly cleared out by Leo, and the group encountered no resistance as they ran out of Devil headquarters.
Devil couldn't let the enemies escape, so initially scattered remnants of their forces slowly regrouped in the corridor and headed towards the stairs. Louis was prepared for this and had left Jerry behind on purpose. Jerry, seeing the increasing number of people in the corridor, placed his fingers in his mouth and let out a sharp whistle. Upon hearing the whistle, members of the Ninja on the second and third floors pulled out grenades from their pockets, removed the pins, and threw them into the crowd in the corridor.
Several continuous deafening explosions made the whole building tremble slightly. Jerry led the Ninja members out of the building, and when he looked back, thick smoke was billowing from the windows of the building, with faint cries coming from inside.
Jack stared blankly at the building and said, "Those grenades sure pack a punch!"
Eric pulled his clothing, saying, "Don't stare, let's retreat quickly!"
Everyone returned to the parking lot, splitting up and gathering at the Northern Hotel. They nodded to each other and got into their respective cars, driving away. Louis sat in the passenger seat and let out a long sigh, his eyes catching Anne, who had been sitting behind him for who knows how long. He wondered why this girl had been following him but turned to her with a smile and said, "Thank you so much for earlier!"
Anne remained expressionless and replied, "It's what I should do. You've already thanked me twice!" She then turned to look out the window.
Louis was taken aback by her response, finding it strange that someone would speak to him this way, especially a relatively young girl from his own gang. He glanced at Anne, shook his head, and decided not to say anything, thinking to himself, "This girl is quite interesting!"
Throughout the journey, police cars were stopping them regularly to check their identities. When they saw Louis in the car, they immediately let them pass.
Devil's gang received the distress call from their headquarters first, arriving before the police. The injured were scattered everywhere, and the gang's two hundred elite members were either dead or incapacitated. The leader, Asa, was seriously injured, and Asa's brother had been shot dead. Devil suffered a significant loss.
Although both sides incurred losses, Nightmare's losses were much smaller, as they had the upper hand in the attack. Nightmare had around a dozen casualties, twenty seriously injured, and over fifty with minor injuries, in contrast to Devil's much higher casualties.
This incident caused a sensation throughout the province, and the government viewed the situation as very serious. They dispatched an investigative team to inspect the leadership, aiming to alleviate external pressure.
