The leader of the Devil, Asa, mysteriously disappeared from the hospital, and the crumbling Devil disappeared completely with Asa's disappearance.
These days, Louis has been very busy, dealing with the affairs of the gang. Since the first day of the crackdown on five establishments, Louis noticed that the newcomer, Peter, was not simple. He cleverly suspended the Crystal business in the establishment temporarily. Despite this, the police kept coming every few days.
After Louis was forced to stop the Crystal business, it was like cutting off the gang's source of income. He discussed with Emmanuel several times how to deal with it, but they couldn't find a suitable solution. Finally, Emmanuel said, "This new chief doesn't respond to either carrot or stick. I've tried everything, but he's just not cooperating! I think, if things get really bad, we should just take him out!"
Louis shook his head and said, "It's not that bad yet. Eliminating him is not difficult, but it would be the end of our criminal activities. The police will never let us go after that, even if you have connections with politicians. The consequences would be too severe."
Emmanuel grew anxious and asked, "So what do you suggest? Our source of income is gone now, and we have thousands of guys."
Louis hesitated and said, "I've been thinking for a while. Do you know where Peter's family is?"
Emmanuel replied, "I heard he's not from this city, and I'm unsure about the specifics. Why do you need to know that?"
Louis remembered how he had approached Henry initially and said, "I want to know about his family. Knowing that might be of some help to us."
Emmanuel suggested, "Are you thinking of using his family to pressure him? That's a good idea. If his family is in our hands, he won't have a choice." After saying that, Emmanuel couldn't help but burst into laughter, feeling much better.
Louis shook his head and said, "We don't necessarily have to use his family to threaten him. We'll decide based on the situation."
Emmanuel felt relieved, and his face brightened. He patted Louis on the shoulder and said, "Don't worry; I'll send someone to investigate Peter. We should have some information within three days."
The two of them continued to chat for a while, and then Emmanuel noticed Anne standing behind Louis. He changed the subject and asked, "Louis, have you been having trouble with Emily?"
Louis blushed slightly upon hearing this; it wasn't a matter of pride. He nodded and replied, "Yes, we've had some issues. I'll go and apologize to her shortly."
Emmanuel nodded, "That's a good idea. You've spoiled Emily and Emma too much. Be careful these days; Vito and Emily have been getting close. You need to watch out."
The mention of Vito didn't sit well with Louis. He thought to himself that he would have to teach him sooner or later. Louis spoke seriously to Emmanuel, "You're right; I was wrong about this. I'll go apologize to Emily. We'll talk later."
Emmanuel nodded and said his goodbyes. After Emmanuel left, Louis checked the time; it was already past five o'clock. He made up his mind to go and talk things over with Emily.
Upon arriving at school, Louis coincidentally arrived at the end of the school day. He stood by the entrance of the academic building, deep in thought, considering how to apologize to Emily. At that moment, Anne tugged at Louis' clothes and turned to look at her. Anne nodded toward the students coming out of the academic building. Louis glanced over and saw Emily and Emma had just walked out, engaged in some conversation.
Louis quickly walked up to them and whispered, "Emily, Emma!"

Emily saw Louis, hesitated for a moment, and turned her head away in anger without looking at him, but deep down, she felt sweet, thinking that Louis had finally decided to approach her. Emma pulled Emily, glanced at Louis, smiled slightly, and walked away to give them some privacy.
Louis took Emily's hand and led her to a less crowded area. He said softly, "Emily, I've come to apologize."
Emily lowered her head and replied quietly, not saying a word, patiently waiting for him to continue. Louis finished speaking and looked at Emily, who remained silent. He didn't know what to say.
The two of them stood there in a somewhat tense atmosphere. Louis said, "Emily, the Nightmare gang is not what it used to be. They're concerned about my safety, so they've assigned Anne to protect me. I hope you can believe me and, more importantly, understand me."
After hearing this, Emily's eyes became slightly red. In fact, she had forgiven Louis a long time ago, and she had heard all of this from her sister. She just didn't know how to speak up. Looking at Louis's weary face, she felt a pang of pain and said, "Louis, actually, I..."
Before Emily could finish her sentence, her phone rang. Louis reluctantly gave her a glance and said, "Emily, I need to take this call. Please wait for me a moment." With that, he turned and walked a few steps away. He didn't want Emily to know too much about the gang's affairs and didn't want the matter involving the mob to affect her mood.
On the other end of the phone, there was an urgent voice, "Louis, it's Eric. The police have sealed off the Sun KTV in the city! Steven has also been taken by the police!"
Louis was shocked, "What's going on? Didn't I tell you not to sell Crystal?"
"We didn't sell any, but somehow, the police found five bags of powder in the restroom. Someone must have framed us!"
"Don't worry. I'll head over there right away. First, I'll get Steven out. I'll explain it to you later!"
"Okay, Louis, I understand. Please hurry!"
Louis hung up the phone, his heart racing. He apologized to Emily, "Emily, I have an urgent matter to attend to. I'll try to come back and take you out for dinner tonight and explain everything to you."
Emily nodded, worried, "Louis, I may not care about the underworld, but I've heard some rumors. Please be careful."
Louis felt warmth in his heart, kissed Emily's forehead gently, and said tenderly, "Don't worry. I'm Louis, and no one can harm me. Wait for me!" With that, he hurriedly left with Anne.
Emma approached Emily, who was still gazing at Louis's retreating figure and said, "Alright, he's gone. Let's head home now!"
Emily and Emma silently walked out of school, praying in their hearts for divine protection. Two cars had stopped at the school gate at some point, and when they saw Emily and Emma coming out of the school gate, the car doors opened, and Vito stepped out.
"Emma, Emily, you're both here. I'd like to take Emily out for dinner tonight!" Vito, dressed in a designer suit, confidently approached the two.
Emma politely replied, "Vito, Emily, and I have other plans, so we won't trouble you."
Vito pretended to look disappointed and said, "I've already reserved a table, and I also need to talk to Emily about something related to Louis. Since you have plans... well, forget it."
Upon hearing that it was related to Louis, Emily quickly asked, "Vito, what's the matter?"
Vito smiled and said, "I can't explain it right now, but when you have some free time, I'll tell you."
Emily couldn't wait that long and exclaimed, "I don't have any pressing matters either. Why don't we go for dinner now?"
Vito was pleased to hear this and agreed, opening the car door like a gentleman for Emily. Emma, however, had a feeling that something was off about Vito today and was worried about her sister. She said loudly, "I don't have any plans either. I'll go with Emily. Do you mind?"
Vito's face twitched slightly, but he quickly smiled and said, "Of course, you're welcome! It's even better that you both are coming together!" He chuckled a few times, thinking to himself that this was just perfect – two birds with one stone.
Once Vito got in the car, both vehicles sped off toward the city center. This situation happened to be observed by a Ninja, and while it seemed like a normal event, something about it didn't sit right with them.
Louis arrived at the KTV, and everyone surrounded him, talking non-stop. Eric pushed through the crowd and said loudly, "Stop the noise, I need to talk to Louis!"
The crowd quieted down, and Eric explained the situation, which was essentially the same as what he'd discussed on the phone. The only new detail was the suspicious person spotted near Sun KTV, who turned out to be affiliated with Dragon and admitted to planting the drugs. Louis found this hard to believe because he and Dragon were allies, and Dragon wouldn't frame him. Furthermore, Louis knew Emmanuel's character well, and he was a true gentleman who wouldn't engage in such activities. With these thoughts in mind, Louis said to Eric, "Where is the person you captured? Let me talk to him."
Eric nodded and told his men, "Bring the person we captured here!"
Before long, a heavily beaten man was brought in. He was clearly injured, covered in wounds, and once released; he couldn't even stand properly. He lay on the ground, looking up at Louis with fear in his eyes.
