Traveling through the Elf continent was beautiful since the natural environment was the complete opposite of the Dwarfen continent where I previously was. I was walking to the Capital when I saw an elf practicing with the bow, and I was thoroughly impressed by his skill. It did look like he was using some Gift to give the bow some element effect but I couldn't be sure. I saw him enhance the arrow with lightning magic which made it almost look like it teleported when he released it, it was quite amazing, to say the least.

"Hi there!"

"Hello, what brings you here? You do know this is a private area correct?"

"Uh no I did not know that, but since you've been so kind and allowed me to come here I wanted to speak with you about something" He gave me a sort of blank expression after I said that which means he got the joke. I hope.

"Don't you introduce yourself first before asking questions?"

"Eh oh yeah I probably should shouldn't I? Well my name is Arthur I come from the human continent"

"Eldarion nice to meet you" I almost choked when I heard the name. It's going to be such a pain trying to remember that.

"I wanted to ask if you would like to join me for an adventure!"

"Why would I follow a stranger away from this safe zone, sounds kind of suspicious to me" Of course that was a valid claim but it still annoyed me.

"You of course don't have to follow me right now since I'm not planning on leaving for a bit, you see I'm heading for the capital to see a friend."

"And you want me to go with you to see how trustworthy you are?"

"Bingo! A very smart one you are" Eldarion gave me an annoyed look at that. This guy was so uptight.

"Wil I get paid?" Damn it

"Uhm, no but we will make money on our adventures so that should be payment enough," I said trying to sound as cheerful as possible.

"I'll follow you into the capital and see this friend of yours, then I'll make my decision before you leave for wherever you are going. Where do you plan to go, Arthur?

"You'll find out when you accept to join me" I was taunting him a bit but it was too fun to stop.

"Fine, let's get going then"

After all that, we made our way to the capital to meet up with Scarlett and Michael. I wondered how they were doing I knew Scarlett would probably get taught easily because of her talent and the political advantage the elves could hold over the humans if they taught their 'Golden Child'. She could get Michael's teachings somewhere as well, with her noble connections I don't doubt they're living the life right now.

We've made it to the Capital and the fee to enter was not needed since Eldarion was quite the important person here in this continent, which didn't surprise me for some reason: bloody nobles and their free advantages. We got settled at the local inn for the night before trying to go to Scarlett and Michael.

"So what are the names of these friends of yours" Eldarion asked

"Scarlett and Michael" Eldarion's eyes widened a bit at that.

"You mean THE Scarlett?"

"Uhm Scarlett Cypra is her full name"

"You're kidding!?"

"I'm not, why is she some big shot to you guys?" He looked at me like I was some lunatic

"Do not speak badly of her here Arthur, some people attack you for saying anything bad about her"

"Do you mean she has some fan club or something?" I said trying to hold in my laughter

"Yes, Something like that I guess" I couldn't hold it in as I burst out laughing, getting another 'He is a lunatic' look from Eldarion

"That's something I didn't expect to hear today, enough of that thought we should get sleep because we're waking up early to go to them. Important question I should have asked earlier, do you know where they might be?"

"You're joking, right? How did you think you'd find them just by strolling around in the city"

"Well I just thought I'd see them walking around or something of the sort"

"Idiot. To answer your question I do know where they are training"

"And where would that be my noblest friend?"

"Don't call me that. They got dragged into the King's castle, and should be training there as far as I know"

"Of course they are," I said with a bit of annoyance. I knew getting into the Castle would be a huge hassle but I did want to meet up with them to discuss something of great importance. The discussion is going to be about maybe finding someone here that might help with my 'Gift of Reaction and Processing' since that type of thing is quite popular around here and getting to use that Gift will help me in situations where I do not have a lot of time to think. I didn't hold out much hope that someone could help me but I could dream.

I've thought about the energy I use to activate my skills and still came up with no answers but what I did realize is that I can use my 'Gift of Speed' 5 times going top speed for a short 10-20 meters now before fully collapsing or I could use it for a passive increase in speed for about an hour. So it seems just using it more and more helps increase my energy reserves? I couldn't know but that's my theory so far. I've talked with myself for long enough now, I should get some sleep before going out to find Scarlett tomorrow, just thinking about how we're supposed to get into the Castle is giving me a headache.
