"Are you alright Michael?"
"I should be fine thanks" The man might say that but he looked exhausted and had an ugly injury on the side of his head that was quickly closed off. I'm guessing some type of healing magic since it didn't look natural.
"Alright go back to camp I'll go check up on Scarlett" He gave me an annoyed look before going back to camp. What was that look for? I quickly dismissed it and went to check on Scarlett.
"How'd the fight go?" She didn't look injured so the question was a bit pointless but I didn't know what else to say.
"Fine, the bastard was just annoying that's all"
"Okay, we should camp here for the next few nights to give Michael a chance to recover fully from his injuries before continuing. By the way, where do you plan on going?"
"Up north to the Elf continent, they have a lot of Arch Mages over there that might be able to teach me as well as Michael some stuff"
"I see but if you plan to go there why bring me along? You know I'm a swordsman and can't get taught much by amateurs like most of the Elves are. They all specialize in magic or archery."
"For protection. You might not think this Arthur but you're stronger than me and Michael combined, at least for now. Without you we might have died to those Elves, I don't think I would have been able to kill them in a two versus one battle." She did have a point there, they both would have died if I wasn't here but that could also be reversed. If Scarlett wasn't here I don't know if I would have been able to kill them in a two versus one.
"Alright I get it, but I will split off and head east towards the Dwarves when we get halfway there." I wanted to get a high-quality sword forged by the Dwarfs since I could use my current innate weapon for more than 10 minutes without it draining me, and the flimsy sword I got from the Capital wouldn't be able to withstand an attack from a powerful force.
"Yeah that's fine we just need you until we're out of hostile lands" She was speaking of the center between all race countries, where there were no truces or allies most of the time you get attacked on sight like these Elves attacked us. Such pointless battles annoy me to no end. No one knows when the Demons and Dragons come back and we're all here fighting each other like idiots. After that we went to camp and rested.

A few days have passed since the fight with the Elves and we've started moving again, Michael and Scarlett should arrive at the Elf Continent in a week or so but I'll split up from them on day three or four. These few days have been peaceful so far so I've tried giving the 'Gift of Strength' another go with no luck, it was infuriating not knowing how to do something. I was keeping watch when I had the idea of trying to bring out the sword again, i thought it might be able to last longer since I'd gained real battle experience i didn't believe that but I just wanted to summon the sword again. So I dived straight into my soul to get the blade, I took it out with relative ease compared to the first few times and held it out for about 11 minutes before I felt I was at 50%. A one-minute increase just from fighting a real battle to the death? I don't know if it actually did anything but it sure felt like it. I looked into my soul's information to see if anything was new.

What. I was confused as to why my Talent rating was so low before realizing it was more likely based on what you can do with mana talent than anything else, which relieved my confusion. After that, I just kept watch and woke Scarlett up when it was her turn.

Four days past that and I've reached my destination with these two and have to split with them to go to the Dwarfen continent.
"Thanks for the week, I'll leave you guys here." It was Michael who answered me
"Alright be gone now" I was a bit confused by the anger he showed toward me but I decided to just let it go since I most likely wouldn't see him again for a while
"Bye," That's all Scarlett said to me, I felt slightly disappointed but didn't argue with her about it. After walking for about five hours I spotted some people in the distance, something wasn't right about them to me though. That's what felt wrong they're green. In other words, they were orcs and orcs, and humans never had a good relationship so I expected a fight. I saw one swordsman and one mage, which made me hesitate a bit I have no experience fighting two-on-one much less one magic user and another swordsman they could wear me down if I'm not careful.
"Hello there!" I shouted from at least 100 meters away at this point.
"*(&&^% &^@!#" Well, that's a problem, they didn't speak my language, no point in trying to talk then I guess. But to my surprise, they attacked first.
