Walking through the castle halls was breathtaking, everything was perfect in there I felt like I was in a dream. This was perfect and I had to take advantage of the opportunity, the First Knight might give me. When I arrived, the First Knight greeted me and invited me to sit down. We chatted for a while, discussing everything from my upbringing to my dreams and aspirations. I was amazed by his intelligence and wisdom, and I could see the years of experience etched on his face.
After a while, the Knight revealed that he had been watching me for some time and was impressed by my natural abilities. He offered to take me under his wing and train me to become a warrior, just like himself. I was thrilled by the offer and eagerly accepted. The Knight became my mentor, and he taught me everything he knew about sword fighting, strategy, and leadership. I was a quick learner and soon became one of his most promising apprentices. I worked tirelessly to master my skills and to prove my worth to the Knight.
I'd been under the guidance of the Knight for about a week when I asked the question that had been on my mind since I met this man. Does he have a Gift that grants him Physical prowess?
"Sir, May I ask a question about the Gifts you might have?" It was quite a bold question since people tend to keep their Gifts to themself in case someone uses them against them in a battle
"You may"
"Well, I was wondering if you had a Gift that grants enhanced Physical abilities? Since you are the first Knight and you seem way faster than anyone I've seen without using magic"
"I have one physical Gift that enhances my speed, but let me warn you if you ever let out this information about my Gifts you will be executed" I gulped as he said that last part but I immediately jumped on the opportunity to learn about his Gift. It might help me use my own.
"So sir uhm I also have a physical enhancement Gift"
"You do? How rare. I've never heard of anyone besides myself having one, so I'm guessing you want me to teach you how to use it?"
"Spot on sir, I've tried figuring out how to use it but using mana doesn't seem to work so it has to be more of a physical aspect rather than a magical aspect right?"
Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
"You're correct there because you don't use mana to activate the increase in physical ability" Upon hearing this I got excited since I don't have a lot of mana except for the minimum everyone is born with. "It's more like using your muscles, for example when you do a push you use your triceps and chest muscles to push yourself up. The same goes for the skill it's not like a normal magic technique where you have to use mana to activate it but more like a nutrient you feed to yourself to improve. Activating it is like using a muscle it is something you can't teach someone only explain how it works, Arthur you'll be on your own for this one I can only give you a mental image of how to do it but for the actual activating you will be doing that all on your own"
It all made a lot of sense to me but it didn't help me at the moment. I'll have to experiment with it a bit after training sessions, maybe even activate one of them. I have to imagine giving myself nutrients rather than trying to pump mana into it... it seems simple enough but if I knew anything about the First Knight I'd know that anything he does or says is not at all as simple as it seems.
"That's all for today's session I have to get back now, but do train that Gift of yours. Its power will at least triple or quadruple your normal capabilities."
TRIPLE OR QUADRUPLE!? That's insane how could this not be a more researched topic if it gives that much of a power boost? Well, I guess it's because no one has the Gift other than me and the First Knight as far as we know.
"Yes sir of course"
After that, he left me to my own devices and I immediately went into trying to imagine how the skill activates. The mental image I tried to imagine was of nutrients rushing through the muscle, but that left me with nothing but a weird mental image. I kept on trying different images until I found it. The image that activates the skill. It's a lot different than I first thought it would be, the image of me running a race but suddenly getting pushed forward by a fast gush of wind. The moment I thought that I felt another gear shift in me
Name: Arthur Gresly

Gift: Swordsman
Rank: Legendary
Gift: Speed
Rank: Mythical
Gift: Strength
Rank: N/A
Gift: Reactions and Processing
Rank: N/A
Weapon: Night Splitter
Rank:???
Mythical?! That's amazing! As soon as I knew how to do it I had to test it out. I got off my bum and walked towards the training grounds which at this time were empty.
I thought of the image and...BOOM I felt like I got shot out of a bullet. This speed was insane. I at least went 100 Kmph there for that half a second I ran but it did drain all the energy out of me just like the sword did so I guess I can't just spam this ability which does make sense but was still a bummer nonetheless. That fact couldn't wipe the smile off my face as I thought of different ways to use this burst of speed to my advantage. The next step in power would be trying to activate the strength Gift but that could wait until I got my energy back. I just got back into my room when I collapsed.
