Chapter Thirteen

Eldarion was standing outside the inn when Arthur found him. They started walking towards the Castle in the distance, it was about 10 kilometers from their current position. Seeing all the advanced ways the elves used to travel was incredible to Arthur, he saw one person floating on a circular disc seeing that it was encased in mana which Arthur guessed was the power source for such a vehicle. Arthur still needed some supplies before getting to the Castle though, he was low on food.

"I need to get supplies," Arthur told Eldarion

"Alright, there's a food store about 100 meters ahead to the right. I'll be waiting outside it,"

Arthur entered a massive square-shaped building that resembled a typical marketplace. From where he stood, he could see a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, meat, and sweet foods. He decided to get only the basic food supplies, fruits, and meat. The place was bustling with people from different races. This was a new and exciting experience for Arthur as he had never seen so many diverse races in one place. However, he noticed that there were frequent fights between them except for the Elves who never participated in any of them.

After completing his work inside the building, Arthur was about to exit when he felt a strange energy. It was the same energy he felt when he saw the woman from the Massacre. He became anxious and started to look around frantically to find anyone who looked suspicious. But, due to the crowded place, Arthur couldn't spot any suspicious person. The people around him started to give him strange looks as he appeared like a crazy person, constantly swinging his head around.

He looked around for another five minutes before giving up and so he went back to Eldarion to continue their journey towards the Castle.

"What took you so long" Eldarion questioned.

"Something felt off" Replied Arthur.

Eldarion rolled his eyes at that and started walking. Arthur quickly followed after him. Instantly forgetting about what happened after looking around at the beautiful streets and buildings. Every building is at least 10 meters in length and 30 meters wide and heavily decorated in crystals and other valuable items. Compared to everyone else Arthur looked like a homeless person with his still torn clothing from when his arm got singed with fire and his unkept hair and beard. Eldarion on the other hand stood out for the exact opposite reason because of his well-worn shirt that clearly showed the well-toned muscle in his arms and chest, his well-kept hair clean shaven face. 'Definitely a noble' Arthur mused to himself. Getting a good look at him Arthur realized Eldarion would be considered pretty handsome, at least compared to a hobo like himself. Arthur scoffed at that.

It's been an hour or two since they left the inn when they finally reached the gates of the Castle, it was clearly the Royal Castle by all the fancy pearls and crystals embedded into the huge gate. This whole place just made Arthur calm which annoyed him to no end since he can't keep his guard up if he's calm the whole time.

"State your Identity and purpose for visit!" One of the guards practically yelled, he was dressed in a clean white shirt and black pants under his shining silver armor. The armor of course had the Elves emblem on it which confirms to any passers-by that this person was a Royal Guard.

"Eldarion Mystralath and I've come to see Arch Mage Scarlett Cypra who Arthur my companion over here knows personally." He pointed towards Arthur.

"Since it's you Sir Mystralath, we will go ask Miss Cypra if she knows anyone by the name of Arthur. What's his Surname?"

"Gresly" Arthur answered before Eldarion asked him.

With that, the guard disappeared into the gates.

"How long does this normally take for you?" Arthur asked

"They should answer in the next hour or two if they can find Miss Cypra"

"If they can find her?"

"She goes out on quests quite a bit"

"Oh alright I think I understand, I'll go walk around a bit ill be back here in an hour or two"

Eldarion didn't answer as Arthur left to go look for new clothes and a barber. As much as Arthur didn't care for fashion he didn't want to look like a homeless person in the Elves Royal Castle. While looking around he counted the money that he had left: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 he sighed when he only counted 8 Riel. 'I might be able to get a haircut and beard trim for 1 Riel, but getting clothes in an expensive place like this might be a problem' Thought Arthur.

Arthur found a clothes shop that looked Magnificent with its thick walls and sparkling marble walls that even were able to compete with the beauty of the Human Royal Castle. He bought a basic black shirt and black pants that fit him well, not as good as Eldarion's though Arthur mused. He also found a very ordinary looking barber shop compared to the clothes shop and got a haircut there. It was about an hour and a half when he got back to Eldarion looking a little less homeless.

"Good, you're back I can see the guard walking towards the gate" Eldarion pointed towards the entrance to the Castle.

"Arch Mage Scarlett Cypra has approved your visit!" He screamed at us

"Stop screaming" Arthur muttered under his breath as they walked through the gates behind the same guard that called to them.

It took them about ten minutes to just reach the courtyard of the place before the guard told them that Scarlett would be with them shortly. Arthur sighed in relief at that, he hated being so formal. Another ten minutes passed when Arthur suddenly felt as if gravity doubled, looking around he saw Scarlett walking towards them with a perfectly fitted yellow robe that slightly dragged over the ground as she walked. 'Great another person with perfect clothes' After adjusting to her mana Arthur and Eldarion went over to speak with her.
