Chapter 53: Heaven and Hell

Chapter 53: Heaven and Hell

"You are among the first batch."

"This makes you special. I do not plan on having many operators. There is one major perk to being among the first in this spiritual forum."

"A perk?" Zhar simply thought. But it was as if Atesh had read his mind.

"That's right. The perk is by contrast of a process. You and your friends won't have to go through my great filter."

"There are a few main things we must do using this space. One of them is creating eternal torment. We will trick others into allowing The Great One's imprint on their existence."

"Then we will do something slightly evil."

Before Zhar could speak. Atesh cut him off.

"Remember when I said you had 14 years to train. That is because as we speak right now. Your body is in a spiritual cocoon undergoing transformation."

"You have what I call a 'key' engraved on your existence now. This allows you to freely travel with your consciousness to this spiritual forum and back. Right now, you haven't yet tried to use your key."

"That is thanks to the emergency lock."

"Emergency lock?" Zhar asked.

"Yes. Think of it this way. The brain dreams randomness in various states when you are asleep. Instead of wasting time dreaming. I have moved your consciousness into this space."

"Your key is locked and is unable to be rotated."

"If you were to die. Your key would automatically rotate and bring your consciousness into this space. Your body isn't immortal. But your spirit has become so."

"You have what I call a minor connection to your body right now. That is because your consciosuness isn't entirely independent yet. Your brain is processing information for you as we speak."

"It is because of this that we experience time normally. But imagine this scenario."

"I cut the minor connection with your physical brain. I create a spiritual brain for you that isn't connected to reality at all. If I did this..."

"You could experience endless time in a single second. You would remain eternal until your spiritual brain ran out of energy."

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

"But thanks to me condensing water seeds for you. You can disconnect from your body and use a spiritual brain. But you are unable to experience eternity of time... why is that?"

"It is because there is a bottleneck in terms of how much energy the water dimension can supply over time."

"This in combination with your physical brain is why you have 14 years to train."

"I see..." Zhar said.

"Those that come after you won't be given a 'key' that allows them to enter this space whenever they feel like. There will be a few conditions to enter this space."

"The first condition is what I call the contract."

"This means they must agree sincerely to be imprinted."

"The moment they agree and are imprinted. I will do something that I have theorized so far. I will disrupt the minor connection with their body. I will bring their existence into layer zero where they will be dormant. We will then design them a spiritual brain and revival artifact. Making them immortal. But without true power."

"Then the fun truly begins!"

Atesh grabbed Zhar's shoulder and flashed through hundreds of layers in an instant. Soon they were on layer 666.

"Welcome to hell!"

"I don't want ordinary people. But that is all I have access to. So we will make them extraordinary!"

"Revenge is a powerful motivating factor."

Atesh snapped his fingers and red cubes filled the entire layer 666. They both walked through the barriers created. In each one, there was a seemingly infinite space.

It was a space of demons, flames, lava, and pain.

Atesh took Zhar to the skies as they exited one of the cubes. There were these cubes everywhere.

"See this spot above each hell?"

"This is where their revival artifact will be. Inside of this artifact will be their spiritual brain. We then project their spiritual body into hell."

"But we do something special. We completely tear the connection the moment they get the imprint. So they will lose consciousness for a millisecond."

"But in that millisecond. We will have constructed them an artifact and spiritual brain. They have a reserve of mental energy that they can tap into. They will experience an eternity of torment."

"Why?" Zhar was confused.

"Because... this is merely the first step in their training! I will make them hate God!"

"In reality. There are limits to mental energy. Since we cut the connection between their bodies and reality. The time ratio can be however we want. So they will have hundreds of years to escape hell."

"Then once they pull this off."

"We take them here."

Atesh brought Zhar to layer 777.

"Welcome to my heaven."

There were countless white cubes.

"In each cube is essentially an NPC named God. We will have him taunt them and discard them as if they are useless. Then as they are getting erased..."

Atesh had experience simulating game worlds and NPCs. He planned to have all of these processes automated. He wouldn't need to lift a finger once everything was properly programmed.

"We act as hidden existences. We reach out to them and offer them an outlet for their anger! A chance at revenge. They will have no idea it was us that put them through such training in the first place."

"That is my plan to convert normal humans into the perfect tools!"

"They will never interact with layer 666 or 777 again. I will turn this spiritual forum into an afterlife and a organization."

"We will conquer this world."

Atesh thought about when he had tested his power against an angel in this universe. He thought about his plans to steal the technology of this world.

"We shall be..."

"God's Death."
