Somnus was floating high up in the atmosphere. He directly disconnected from both energy fields due to too many rapid request. This was thanks to the time flow rate between F554 and this universe.
Visdre hadn't had proper time to react yet. Just like when he was in the blackhole. Time was different here. It was around one year to one second. This meant that Somnus was motionless for centuries. He crashed into the earth leaving a deep pit.
Unfortunately... nobody found him. Over the years, he was buried from natural disasters.
Somnus lacked the beacons he used as a quasi-spiritual sense. So he was unaware of what was happening in his surroundings. This was a flaw in his design created by Visdre. As he never actually expected to not be able to keep up with consciousness consumption.
You might wonder how this 'avatar' even had enough energy for consciousness? It was thanks to Visdre creating an artificial soul. This avatar was a generator of mental energy. But it wasn't infinite. Mortals consume food to supply their cells with energy. The brain transforms their consumption and oxygen into consciousness.
This avatar was like a puppet. There was no real input of energy. But there was a cost for consciousness. So the lowest settings were used.
Centuries...
The avatar couldn't maintain it. The soul fluctuations were almost vanishing. But only a few seconds had passed for Visdre. The ritual to open up a connection to this universe was rather evil. Visdre didn't want to have to do it again.
But he felt his connection slipping.
So he had 'Somnus' go into a dormant mode.
Thousands of years passed. If he had explored the moment he arrived. He might of found primitive human society. But he was a bit late to the party.
With Somnus in a dormant state. He could just barely maintain connection. Once upon a time, when Visdre was in containment. He had developed independent consciousness. But this required a location.
For example, a normal human would have the location of their consciousness in the brain. Visdre had transcended such limitations. But the 'location' was still in the universe. He had lived within his rings initially. But then he developed a mental energy server.
This was like a legendary focus. An amplifier. Before this. He had his consciousness move around his body as if it was a blood cell. But things had been improved over the last decade.
After a few seconds. Although Somnus was buried. Time seemed to freeze in F554. It wasn't actually frozen. Visdre had used his hadron collider to host his independent consciousness versus using his original body.
His processing power became inhuman.
He directly stretched the connection between the artificial soul. But he felt the rules of the other universe. Perhaps the world will itself reject him. His knowledge of such entities was nonexistent. He may seem like a god level threat to mortals. Being completely untouchable. But to real hidden existences and supreme beings.
He was just a mortal with some tricks! A slightly bigger ant.
Feeling the connection about to close. Feeling that he would soon lose control over his avatar. He sent a packet of information over. This packet was surrounded in mental energy.
What he had sent was a combination of his core memories, mental energy to spend, and a castrated version of echo.
Visdre felt a complete disconnect with Somnus. He could only hope he would recreate the connection in the future. He thought that with the rate at which time passed. A few minutes, would reveal his success or failure.

Somnus's POV:
Darkness...
Endless darkness.
I cannot feel my body. Nor can I see.
"Where am I?"
"What am I?"
I search my memories to keep myself entertained.
"I seem to be a god? What happened to me?"
"Did another god kill me? Am I in the abyss?"
"My law of distortion. I can't feel it."

Slowly... I feel my thinking slow down.
I spent centuries in this darkness.
"When will this end?"
I then enter a sleep.
----------------------------------------
This is a world with supernatural power. There are people that can raise oceans and split mountains. People with absolute control over the elements and laws of the world. But these people live in a separate environment. They are unreachable existences to normal humans.
So begins the tale of Sostid and his legacy!
A poor farmer who barely had enough to eat after paying taxes. He lacked a surname as he was at the bottom of society. His greatest aspiration was to get married and have kids.
At the age of 18. He got married to his childhood sweetheart. By the age of 22. He had been raising a family of 4. He had two sons that were his pride and joy.
Something was special about his family. Their bodies were blessed with great strength and strong memory.
His father and his grandfather lacked a family name. The same acres of land had been passed down from generation to generation.
But something weird happened one day. He was just a lowly farmer. But officers of the government had visited him in person. Telling him that his land was potentially very special.
They had apparently done research over the years and found an anomaly. The crops he grew contained a special energy. It contained the legendary energy particles! This was something mortals would never have access to. But Sostid and his family had been eating these crops for years.
It wasn't until a wizard in the secular world ate some in passing that they finally tracked down the origin of this special crop.
"We are unsure if you have some sort of special skill that makes your crops full of energy. Or if it is the land itself."
"If the key is you. We are willing to have you be put in charge of the crops in a wizard city. If it is the land, we are also willing to buy it from you."
Sostid was shocked. It had been years since he had heard of the wizard city. It was thought to just be a legend. A myth.
What followed next was a series of test. Unfortunately... he was found to be ordinary. The officials were disappointed. They then did test on the land.
An acolyte had a special device that could detect the concentration of energy particles. They found that the land had energy particles all around. But the concentration increased the closer they got to the center.
"Begin digging! Be careful!"
Soon archaeologists were excavating this land. It took a few weeks of carefully exploring multiple meters below, that they found something insane.
"A statue?"
They found Somnus! But he was in a dormant state. Essentially sleeping.
The soul had leaked mental energy, transforming this land into a place with high concentrations of energy particles. It was extremely slow. This had been happening for years.
The acolyte looked at this 'statue' with shining eyes.
Sostid noticed that they had found something.
"Sirs! This land has been passed down from my father's father. Won't I get compensation? My crops quality will disappear without this artifact!"
The acolyte sneered.
"Compensation? Huh? You are right."
The acolyte threw a bag containing gold coins at the man.
He was shocked. This would change his destiny and his descendants lives completely.
His son made a mistake however. He ran and wrapped his hands around the statue.
Sostid panicked and told him to get away quickly. He didn't dare think about what would happen if they broke this historical relic.
The statue seemed to be made of a unique material. But there were indeed cracks in it.
Luckily, nobody planned on being harsh to the child. He was taken back to Sostid.
"These lands still have an abundance of energy particles. We will seize the land. The funds should help you move to a more prosperous city."
What they didn't realize...
Sostid's son...
He had done something he shouldn't have.
The statue had many cracks and looked as if it was going to fall apart. The child had grabbed a sliver off of it. He then hid it as they took him back to his father.
The acolyte didn't report his findings to an official wizard. Despite their being higher-ups, he was wary of being silenced. An artifact that could transform land into being able to house wizards could be precious. He wanted to get his money's worth.
It was like a magic vein. Something only the top wizard cities had.
But through his research. He was disappointed.
"The energy has long been exhausted. It is no different from an ordinary stone. But from my dating methods. It seems to be extremely old. Who crafted this golem?"
Seeing that the statue was no longer magical. He sold it to a wealthy merchant. It became part of a private collection. Decades later it it was auctioned. It changed many hands throughout history. Eventually finding a stable home.
In a museum.
The medieval period had long passed. Technology was advanced enough for internet to develop. Things like planes, cars, and mobile phones had become widespread.
Sostid had turned to dust in history along with his son.
But their descendants lived on.
Specifically... that sliver of stone that was a part of Somnus. It had found a home in a time capsule.
Despite being fairly advanced. The wizard world still existed. It was just home in hidden forums and concealed by the government.
Most had no idea that there was such a magical world. It was considered child's tales and lies.
Somnus remained in a museum.
The sliver was in a time capsule for a century before being unearthed. The family's surname had become Sostid. He had used his wealth to elevate the future generations. To the point that even in this modern day world. His family was still successful.
They were at their mansion. In the front of it, they surrounded a statue. On the sign of this statue. It said:
Sostid Family Time Capsule: 1970.
It was now 2070. The family had developed for over a thousand years. The idea of a time capsule was something quite recent in their history.
Today the family gathered to see what their ancestors stored.
Soon, welders started to cut a hole in the metal They brought out a metal cube and opened it. There were land deeds, old bank certificates, random rocks with the names of the family members at the time. There was also a inconspicuous pendent.
As the family passed around the items. Someone took a liking to the pendent. They pocketed it.
Later that night. They put it on and felt something calling out to them.
----------------------------------------
Over a thousand years had passed. Somnus remained in the museum as one of the oldest items on display.
But his dormant state had ended.
[ECHO]: Initializing...
[ECHO]: Mental Energy Packet received!
It was nighttime and the museum was empty. But a telepathic voice whispered from the statue.
"Hmm..."
"For thousands of years I lie dormant!"
He laughed.
