"My organization will conquer this universe."
"We shall kill that which considers itself a god..."
"We shall be called God's Death!"
Atesh felt a weird sense of deja vu. He remembered that when he had built his puppet that he used to enter this universe. A foreign entity had taken it over. He had cleansed the soul and the last few words of that entity was those very words.
He felt as if a forgotten memory was lit up. A technique. He focused on this feeling, but lost it.
"I feel I was close to remembering the technique. But it seems it is really erased from my memory! God's Death is a clue I suppose."
"My team will be transformed for 30 years. But that doesn't mean I have to wait until they wake up."
"I had originally intended to use this tower as a base of operations. But thinking about it carefully. That is a horrible idea..."
Atesh was worried about leaks and weapons of mass destruction.
"If you gather all your subordinates in one place. You are asking to get wiped out!"
"We need to be able to exist everywhere and nowhere. What if, instead of a physical location. I create a spiritual location."
Atesh thought this was a excellent idea.
"In the past. I created a system and game world using a soul fragment as the server."
"I then shared the stress between souls to expand this world. There are two main problems to replicating that here. One is my lack of contracts through my esteemed name. The second is the weirdness of the souls of the natives of this world... Only those scavengers have normal souls. The other ones are integrated with technology."
"If only I could create a system greater then the one I made in the past. One that could completely mess with reality."
"Alright. Let us think about this clearly. I can basically tap into infinite energy particles thanks to the elemental dimensions."
"It is almost like I have a contract formed with those dimensions. So, I must study this connection and try to replicate it."
6 years later...
Atesh was meditating this entire time. He finally opened his eyes and felt enlightened.
"That's it! Engraving the coordinates on the existence through heavenly treasures..."
"I not only lack a dimension. I am not the ruler of one either."
"So there are three steps I need to carry out."
"I must open my own dimension."
"I must be recognized as the ruler of it."
"I must design an imprint that I can engrave on the existence."
Atesh thought carefully about how one would establish their own dimension.
"None of my powers can help me with this. Sovereign comprehension is useless and my race has nothing to do with it either..."
"But..."
"There is distort and dream force."
"My most powerful means of manipulating reality."
"The problem lies in the fact that I would likely need at the minimum full capacity."
"I have only a small fraction left."
"That simply isn't enough and I have no connections to wizards to get more knowledge orbs. It'll also take a decade just to gain one percent."
Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.
Atesh gave up on the idea of using dream force for now.
"Perhaps there is something I can do to lower the requirements."
Atesh used sovereign soul to look at his soul. He then had an interesting idea.
"If I can't connect to souls through my esteemed name. What if I used my soul as the foundation?" Atesh remembered when he transformed a version of Visdre's soul into a processor.
"Back then, I experienced hallucinations. But I was still alive. In this case, I will go a step further!"
Atesh didn't simply plan to make a game world here. He planned to make the ultimate system.
Atesh flew outside the tower and had Jay, Lo, Zhar and Ta rotating around him as he waved his hands dismantling the tower into its core components.
Distort
[ECHO]: Dream Force: 3%
He didn't use dream force to make a new dimension. He didn't have enough for that. Instead he used it to distort reality and make the tower invisible. Why did he do this? It was because his soul had integrated with this body. He couldn't leave at will like before in the past.
If he was going to turn himself into a server. He would need a safe spot to store his body. He used his will and the materials of the invisible tower parts to make hundreds of capsules.
These were incredibly small. Each one was about the size of a coffin. But it shielded all information thanks to him using distort. There was no way to detect these capsules orbiting the world.
Atesh stuck Lo, Jay, Zhar and Ta into their own capsule.
[ECHO]: Dream Force: 2%
Atesh had left an incredibly small portion of dream force on them. This was used as a beacon, otherwise he wouldn't be able to find them later.
You might wonder why he didn't leave a piece of soul like he had done to locate the wizard tower? It was because he wasn't planning on finding them physically this time. He wasn't entirely sure if what he planned to do would work.
They were now in capsules orbiting around the world.
He then found one for himself.
"I am safe now. The outside of this capsule is invisible and even heat signatures won't be able to be seen through the extraordinary properties..."
Atesh lied down in it and closed his eyes.
Atesh first attached his mind to his will and observed his body with his sovereign comprehension.
"First step... prime the soul!"
Atesh had spent time in the past attacking his soul. He had developed a firewall of sorts. But now he was lowering his defense.
"Second step... shatter it!"
Atesh opened his eyes wide as he felt a pain on the soul level. His sovereign mind was shaking and about to dissipate.
[ECHO]: Soul stability is at 0%
"T-hird st-ep... re..."
Without the support of his soul... his control over sovereign comprehension was failing. His soul had been shattered!
Atesh felt the abyss calling him. This was part of his plan!
He shook his head and recovered from losing his soul. He directly used sovereign soul and a hint of dream force to keep himself conscious.
This was similar to him throwing around his spiritual weight. He wanted to die spiritualy, but remain alive physically.
[ECHO]: Dream Force: 1%
"Third step... travel!" Atesh felt himself becoming lucid. He directly traced the abyss just like how he could trace the water dimension and fire dimension.
A suction force formed where his soul should've been as his will and mind were sucked in.
He found himself surrounded in darkness.
"Fourth step... soul expansion!" Atesh took the shards of his soul that were floating in the abyss. His soul was reconstructed. But it was no longer a sphere. It was now a cube!
"I said! SOUL EXPANSION!"
[ECHO]: Dream Force: 0%
The cube expanded infinitely!
Atesh had turned the false to true and formed a physical spiritual place. But things weren't so easy... the boundary started to crack!
"Fifth step: stabilize!"
A phantom of his mind attached to his will was the only thing observing the changes in this space. He had sacrificed his soul. You could say that this was his independent consciousness. Right now was even more precarious then when he was consumed and found himself in the abyss.
His will couldn't stretch far in his state. He threatened to blink out of existence at any moment. So he decided to take an even bigger risk.
"Sixth step... SOUL CONDENSION!" Atesh could reach the boundary as it had become infinite. So he shrunk the soul until it was at the point where it could fit in his hand. He then used his will to keep it from shattering again.
"Seventh step: REPEAT!" Atesh expanded it. This time it wasn't infinite expansion. The boundary started to crack again.
"CONDENSION!" "EXPANSION!" "CONDENSION!" Again, and again, and again.
Eventually... his soul had adapted to the pressure of the abyss. It had become perfect.
His mind that was attached to his will dispersed.
A white cube floated in the abyss...
Atesh had lost consciousness.
But his soul had become a spiritual space!
Atesh had exhausted all his dream force. He entered a sleep for what should've been an eternity. But something magical started to happen. Thanks to the water and fire dimension being engraved on his existence. This spiritual space was filled with spiritual water and fire.
In the center of the cube was a fire.
As the spiritual water flowed into this space. The heat from the fire caused it to boil, eventually becoming steam.
This continued for 10 years...
Just like how in the past when Visdre played as Somnus.
A body of fog that manipulated the dream realm.
Now the accumulation of spiritual water and fire filled the entire space with fog!
The fog formed a vortex around the spiritual fire smothering it.
A man manifested from this fog!
"I'm back!"
