Chapter 62 - Eight Great Strongholds of Mad Snail

“Doesn’t he seem a bit young to be an elder?” White Snow couldn’t help but ask due to his own curiosity. Elder Young looked no older than 7 or 8 years old and they were addressing him as Elder. Does he have Benjamin button disease?

Sora looked at White Snow and said softly, “Indeed, he is very young. But his talent and strength is unequalled in the Hidden Sky Village. Even I greatly fail to match him in pure talent and ability. He has strength surpassing that of even some Elders so it was only right he was bestowed the title of Elder by my father.”

Snows mouth dropped agape, “I didn’t know your tribe was hiding such a monster, the Hidden Sky Village sure is full of secrets.”

Sora nodded again as he walked forward with a complacent smile on his face. Compliments to his people were akin to compliments to himself because he is the future Sky Lord.

“Why did you call for a meeting?” Lucifer asked.

“You will find out soon.”

Anticipation built up inside White Snow as they made their way through the arch way. There had been a lot of rumors regarding the Hidden Sky Village and he couldn’t help but tremble in excitement.

It was a well-guarded fortress, not only was it hard to find but it was even harder to gain entry. Before this moment, he thought it was somewhere in the sky but it was actually buried deep underground. He and everyone else had been taken for fools.

Who calls an underground village Hidden Sky? Only people who like playing pranks on others. How immoral!

“The Hidden Sky Village. One of the eight Great Strongholds of Mad Snail.” White Wolf clenched his hands as he strolled forth in excitement ready to gaze upon one of the Great Strongholds.

“Eight Great Strongholds of Mad Snail? What is that?” Lucifer perked up his eyebrows at White Snows words. This was the first time he heard of the ‘Great Strongholds’.

“Tsk…Ignorant…” He nodded his head as he began to explain.

“You humans don’t know this because you think you own this land. You never bothered to learn our history nor pay respect and homage to our ancestors. You are just invaders that came here, slaughtered our people and crushed us beneath your feet. Mad Snail is the ancient and true name of this holy land we live on.”

There was a heavy tint of anger in Whites eyes. But he quickly calmed himself down; arguing wouldn’t solve anything at this point.

Lucif frowned, no matter where he went there seemed to be a bone deep hatred for all humans in existence. But the human race by nature was tyrannical, and the atrocities committed by his species were uncountable.

Of course he didn’t feel remorse because he wasn’t the one who conquered and enslaved the Universe. Those were his ancestors; he had no part in it. He wasn’t treated any better than the people they conquered, so not only did he have no sympathy for them but he even hated them for pushing all his forefathers’ sins onto him.

They were in the same boat, so they had to learn to get along.

And if they were the superior race, who is to say the situation wouldn’t be reversed with humans being enslaved? It was just one of the many questions floating in Lucifer’s mind. But at the present time it wasn’t important.

If anyone from Earth were to hear his thoughts they would spew blood in response. His thinking was just too tyrannical. But what else would you expect from a once crowned and all powerful Mafia God? His thinking was perfectly inline for a harsh world like this one.

They walked forward and before them, deep in the underground appeared a beautiful, large and boundless sky. There were many different creatures flying to and fro beneath the sky and various small animals grazing through the grass. The clouds swirled like toffee and appeared to be made of marshmallow.

“Beautiful….” The two newcomers were amazed by the beautiful scene before them. The trio continued walking forward while White continued to mutter on about the floating Island.

“There are eight Great Strongholds of Mad Snail and this is one of them. First there is the Acid Rain village of the Western Plains. The Garrisons of Heaven located in the Nine Choirs. There is Elven Haven in the Northern Forest ruled by the Dark Elves.”

“The Desolations of Middle Earth is in Area 15 but their influence spreads to Area 30. The Oklahoma Empire ruled by the Red Skin Bandits. The Economy of Goblins in Areas 44, 45 and 46 and the Ocean Palace of the Demonic Horde in the Southern Sea.”

“These are seven of the Great Strongholds of Mad Snail. The eighth Great Stronghold is the Hidden Sky Village here in the Eastern Jungle. They are all special in their own way but this is the most secretive stronghold of the eight.”

Lucifer noted down his words and repeated them over and over again until they were memorized. They were sure to come in handy one day in the future. They continued to walk and White Snow continued to blab on about how evil humans were and about their belief system. They seemed to worship Mad Snail as a God and they believed that they could gain the powers humans wield by devouring them.

Suddenly the ground they were walking on disappeared and before them appeared a pit that was endlessly deep. Hovering over that pit and inside of it were thousands of floating islands each with their own houses, gardens and streets.

Below the islands was a giant sun similar to the one in the examination hall, but this one was actively pumping plasma energy and was surrounded by huge plasma snakes that were swimming within its oceans of plasma. The islands seemed to rotate around this miniature star like planets around the sun.

It was a gorgeous and breathtaking scene that would leave anyone breathless.
