Sora had real strength backing up his attacks so the stones did some real damage unlike Lucifs strikes. The snow wolf tried jumping into the sky but he just couldn’t reach Sora no matter how high he jumped.
“I surrender, stop. Ow, I said I surrender. Stop it! God damn you.”
The snow wolf rubbed his head in annoyance and pain. He wasn’t expecting such a situation to occur.
“According to the law of the jungle, in a one on one fight the loser must acknowledge his better and follow his commands until the day comes where he is able to defeat him in mutual combat. Do you acknowledge your defeat?”
“A one on one fight? You cheated! You had help from the human boy.”
Sora nodded his head, “Okay then, let’s start over.”
From his hand flew 5 or 6 more rocks, “Ow..Ow…Ow…Dammit…Fine, I give, I give. Just stop it.”
The snow wolf now had a black eye, a bleeding nose and numerous bruises all up and down his body. If he had lost in a battle of strength he wouldn’t be so unwilling but this was simply humiliating and frustrating.
He couldn’t even attack back, what kind of fight is that?
Sora descended from the sky and transformed back into his human form. Lucif walked over but he was still quite apprehensive about approaching the deadly snow wolf.
“It’s fine Lucifer, to go back on your word is to give up ones honor and dignity. The snow wolves are a proud race which values honor, integrity and respect above all else.”
“You seem to know a lot about the Snow Wolf tribe, are you sure you’re not making a mistake?”
“Oh, if it were any other Snow Wolf I might be concerned. But I recognize your face and I’ve heard the rumors.”
Lucif approached slowly and saw that there was no sign of enmity remaining in the snow wolfs eyes. This helped him let down his guard a lot but not completely.
“Alright then, now that order has been established let’s introduce ourselves. I’m Sora of the Sky Serpent tribe and this is Lucifer of the…Uhhh…Where are you from again?”
“Earth.”
“Right, wait..Earth?!”
Lucif realized his tongue slipped after he said that, he wasn’t on Earth anymore. He was on Planet Almega in some distant galaxy far from Earth. But some habits are hard to shake and he wasn’t in the right frame of mind like he used to be.
“I meant to say Planet Almega…”
“Haha, don’t scare me like that kid… And this Wolf here is…”
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
“White Snow of the Snow Wolf tribe…But before we proceed, may I ask why you are sheltering a human?”
“Why…? Let’s talk about this back at my tribe. There are too many curious ears around here.”
At this moment five or six shadows disappeared from the surroundings, visibly shaken that they were discovered.
White Snow sniffed the air, his sense of smell was incredible but he couldn’t find any lingering smells in the vicinity. “Are you sure?”
Sora’s eyes turned into slits as his forked tongue lashed out of his mouth, in his vision he could see the infrared signatures of their retreating figures. “Oh yes, I’m sure. Now let’s go.”
Sora led them through winds and twist, down a long pathway and through a cave. In front of them appeared a beautiful waterfall and a small lake. He checked one more time to make sure they weren’t followed and then nodded.
“This is the place.”
Sora dove head first into the water and swam towards the waterfall followed by Lucif and White Snow. They battered their bodies against the raging water as they made it through the waterfall and onto the other side.
The other side was similar to a secret entrance. There was a giant iron door with several tens of guards in front of it.
“Young master has returned and he has brought guest. How was your trip to the outside world?”
“I made a few friends and saw a few sights…” Hearing his response the guard smiled, this was actually a secret code. If he answered any differently then it meant something was wrong. But this answer confirmed that he wasn’t brought here against his will.
The door opened and they entered a long passageway.
“Where does this go?”
“To the Hidden Sky Village.”
…
The tunnel was dark, narrow and long. It seemed to stretch on for what seemed like eons. Along the walls were various patterns etched into its hard surface. They were akin to cavemen drawings. If Lucif was seeing correctly, they were similar to humans. But it was quite dark so he wasn’t completely sure. As they walked through the long cave the conversation was relatively quiet. Lucif started to lament on his dream once again and the recent happenings.
Too many close calls and too many near death experiences had come his way recently. It was like there was an angel of death floating above his shoulder, trying to drive him to his doom any chance it got. Maybe he had committed some Universal taboo by being reborn and the God of Destiny was trying to set it right.
If this was the past him, so many mistakes and disastrous situations may not have come to be. Was it his own negligence and poor behavior or perhaps he was being too cautious and hesitant. Was this all a series of unfortunate events? But surely there was a limit to how unlucky one could be.
Climbing to the apex of the world in his previous life was by no means easy. But through the challenges he overcame, his mind was refined ten times over.
After he had ascended to the peak of the world, there was no one left to challenge him. He became a stagnant ruler. Money was no issue; all pleasures in life were catered for. He could have what he wanted when he wanted it. If he wanted a new car, then with a snap of his fingers he would have it. A house, a boat, a plane, women, drugs, villas, cities and monuments.
Who would dare say no to him? If he wanted you dead he wouldn’t have to lift a finger. Just a simple word and one of his many assassins would hunt you to the ends of the earth. He was the most powerful man on the planet. Even the current U.S and Russian president were products of his machinations.
He had reigned as the mafia monarch for a long time and not having to face the daily struggles of everyday life had slowly wilted away his mind and skills. What happens to a champion that never meets a worthy challenger? They become lazy, cocky and boastful.
With no one as their equal they no longer progress, they become stagnant and sometimes regress. He had the memories, he had the experience but his mind wasn’t processing dangers at the same speed. His body wasn’t functioning at the level he was accustomed to. He was no longer the big bad wolf he once was. His predatory instincts for survival had been wilted away by complacency and time.
Despite all that, this new world had brought something new to him. A passionate fire that once burned in his heart all those years ago had finally been reignited.
