Chapter 34 - Ancient Creed of the Pivac Mafia

“Exam, what do you mean entrance exam?!”

“Why else would they call it an exam hall? Silly billy.” Luar flicked her eyelashes cutely and pounced around the exam hall, enjoying the weightlessness of it all.

If they had to pass an entrance exam then it was impossible to get in. They grew up poor, so how were they supposed to learn all the information that normal students needed to know? It was impossible, simply impossible.

Aruna and Ambrosia weren’t stupid. They quickly came to the same conclusion as Lucifer.

Lucifer scratched his head but inwardly he was frustrated as he looked up and said solemnly. “Damn…Entrance exam. That’s impossible, how are we supposed to pass an entrance exam? We have never received a primary education. Fuck!”

There was silence for a while before Luar finally spoke up. “Well, that’s not good. That’s not good at all. You have already signed up so you have to sit the entrance exam regardless. You don’t get a refund and each time you fail the test you have to pay more than before. $80,000 for the second attempt, $160,000 for the third attempt and so on.”

Lucifs teeth made a grinding sound when he heard this, ‘80 grand? Do you think your granddaddy here has so much money? Tsk…’

“Well, we have no other choice. We have to sit the test then, where do we start?”

Luar kicked off the ground, her body thrust upward and she flew into the air. The weightlessness of the room surrounded her and allowed her to easily throw off the shackles of gravity. “Jump up here, we have to wait for a green light to flash from the first floor. The green lights signal the proctor has finished their work and are ready to take another examinee. Quick, those two are lit up.”

They kicked off the ground and joined her in the sky as well. It was a surreal feeling floating in the air like that. It gave them goose bumps and they felt a sense of excitement and adrenaline rush through their bodies. They had never flown like this before. They felt like Immortals from the ancient stories.

“Just go in and hand over your card, they will tell you what to do from there. I will wait for you to return.” Luar waved the two girls on and offered them encouragement.

Aruna and Ambrosia flew towards a green lit room, once they arrived by the wall a pixie appeared, smiled and then opened a door in the wall. The room seemed to have a cloaking mechanism because the inside was invisible. All you could see was pitch black darkness. As they flew inside the wall quickly closed behind them.

“Do you know what subjects you are going to take if you pass?” Muttered Luar in a soft voice.

“No idea, I’ll figure it out later.” Another green light appeared and Lucif flew over and entered.

A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

Once the door closed behind him, he felt gravity return to normal. Even though the floor was rotating around the hall he couldn’t feel it moving at all. The area was incredibly spacious inside. In front of him was a lady sitting behind a desk but the desk only took up a portion of the curved room. On her right side was a water cooler and next to it appeared to be a kitchen of some sort. There was even a meal ticket food maker. Following the path was another separated room, possibly a toilet.

On the left side was a wall and a closed door but he couldn’t guess what was behind it. Perhaps it is another workers office.

“Sit.”

“Okay.”

Lucif made his way over and made himself comfortable, he sat on the chair before pulling out his silver card. “Here you go.”

“Thanks.” She grabbed the card and quickly scanned it.

“Ah, silver embassy card. Lucifer Akira, Age 13, Mortal, Human, Planet Almega. Good. Entree fee paid. Good.”

She typed in some words and then printed out a few papers. “This is the first test, memorization. You have 10 minutes to memorize as much as you can. Your time will start as soon as you turn the first page.”

She handed him a set of papers. As he looked down he read the title, in big and bold lettering it said “Ancient Creed of the Pivac Mafia.”

Yi

He almost jumped out of his seat, truth be told his memory was not that much above the average persons. If he were to take an I.Q test he would barely scrape passed 130. He learnt many languages and skills but that was all due to his hard work and dedication. Not thanks to his awesome memory.

But what were the odds? The test he received just so happened to be the creed he created himself. He opened the book and sure enough, it was the creed he had wrote nearly one thousand years ago. It obviously proved its worth for it to last over one thousand years.

He read through it and noticed that some parts had been changed. The creed itself was around 10 thousand words but this one was only 3 thousand or so. ‘Tsk, they butchered my creed.’

As he read through the creed he was actually surprised that the creed had been improved, the guiding principles were the same but it had been simplified greatly. ‘I wonder who done this? It’s actually a lot better.’

He closed the book and pushed it back once the 10 minute deadline was over. He arranged his thoughts as he recalled all the changes and which parts had been removed.

“Now recite what you memorized.”

He nodded his head. Although it had been changed and shortened, he could still recite most of it, if not all of it.

“In the rain we are a burning flame, against the winds we are the mountains. In a scorching desert we are the oasis and in sunlight we are the darkness. In the flame we are the rain, against the mountains we are the wind, in an oasis we are desert, in the light we are kin. We are strong and we are weak, we bring life and we bring death, to the rich and to the meek. We are the Gods of our own destinies, committing good deeds and atrocities. We are the justice you seek and the injustice you received. We are the greater good and we are the daunting evil. We live our lives fighting for our own motives, we are Mafia, we are people.”

He continued on in a fresh and fluid motion until he got to the end and finally stopped.

“You made no mistakes and recited all 3,046 words. 1,000 is C-Grade, 1,500 is B-Grade, 2,000 is A-Grade…And 3,000 is S Grade…S Grade, you…Amazing….”

“Ah, well…” Lucif didn’t know what to say.

‘Maybe I should tell her I already knew it? How would I explain that? Oh yeah, by the way I’m actually the reincarnation of a Mafia boss from one thousand years ago. Yeah right, that’s not going to happen. It’s better to just play along with it, this will increase my overall chances of passing.

“I have a really good memory, what else can I say?” He snuffed his nose up at the sky in triumph.
