Chapter 43 - You have nothing to worry about

“It went great, I was fortunate enough to pass.”

She jumped with glee, “Yippee, what was your score? I have a class ranking of SFS.”

“Ah, I’m a transfer student. My results are pending so no ranking yet, it just says unknown.”

“You’re a transfer student? But you didn’t transfer in from anywhere.”

“I know, there was a glitch in the system so they gave me this title for now.”

“Oh, that makes sense. The system is quite old, eventually errors would pop up.”

She smiled happily as she circled around the first level.

They floated in this space for around another hour until a wall opened up and Ambrosia flew out, not more than 10 seconds later Aruna also flew out from another spot in the wall.

“How did it go?” Luar asked nervously, she seemed to care about their results more than Lucifer did. ‘Are all elves like this? Are they really such a kind hearted race?’

Aruna and Ambrosia both had smiles on their faces, “We passed!”

“What is your student ranking?”

“Honor student.”

“Honor student.”

They both answered at the same time, “Y..You both made it into the honors class? Great, that means we are sticking together for home room. What were your scores?”

Aruna spoke first, “SSB” followed by Ambrosia, “SSC”

“W…wait, S…?! That would make you first class mortals. A double S ranking?! I don’t believe it.”

Lucifer found it hard to believe as well. The first S was for memory, the second S for the Daruma mission and the B and C respectively for the physical test.

“How did you get an S rank?”

“Well, the memorization test was really easy. I died a few times on the second test but eventually I wilted down the poor horse’s health. Then he screamed at me and I died. But when everything disappeared the system had given an S ranking.”

Lucifer scratched his head; he had killed the Dars President after its health was gone. If he had just died like a good boy, he would’ve been given an S Rank too but he just had to show off.

“Y..you beat the VR test?” Luars mouth almost dropped to the ground.

“Which one was it? The ghost phantom lord? The nine hells demon dog? The heaven fighting vicious predator?”

“Kill the Daruma President.”

“Kill the Daruma President.”

Once again, they answered at the same time. It was quite surreal, they were like twins when they spoke. Lucif couldn’t keep calm, it was a mission he found incredibly hard. A mission that tested him vigorously and forced him to implement his wide range of skills.

But Ambrosia and Aruna were still saplings when it came to combat and tactics. It was mind blowing to find out that their memories were at the level where they could easily memorize 3,000 words in 10 minutes averaging out at 5 words every second. That was Einstein level genius or even above it.

But all of that was forgotten as Lucif questioned them about the events that unfolded. He couldn’t care less about the memory test, he was eager to find out how they did it. How did they whittle down the health of the Daruma President.

Luar also wanted to know, she had never heard of the Daruma President mission but then again it made sense. There were over 5000 missions and it changed once every 2 weeks.

They gathered around as they retold their story. Ambrosia took the chopper first but she was killed by a Daruma that kicked her out of the sky.

Aruna took a Lamborghini but the wild stamps blew her tires and then she crashed, the engine exploded and she died in a ball of flames.

But fate was on their side, they both managed to succeed and kill the President through sheer dumb luck and a little out of the box thinking.

Aruna took the motorbike, a rocket launcher and a machine gun. With the bike she found it easy to run from the horses, when she got to a certain point the horses crashed into each other, they nearly landed on her but their bodies were so big that the smallest crevice where no light could get through was actually a 3 meter high tunnel. She safely made it to the boss monster on her second try.

The boss monster was so high up that it couldn’t see her at all. It seems it could only see flying enemies. She used the rocket launcher and machine gun to try damage it from underneath but it did absolutely no damage at all. Eventually the boss moved and squashed her on accident.

On her next attempt she brought a grapple hook and spear. Aruna grapple hooked up the tail on the boss and ran along its back. Then she climbed his mane, climbed inside his ear and then stabbed the spear into his brain repeatedly until it curled over and screamed. The scream caused the spear to shatter into pieces and killed her.

Ambrosia did something similar as well, she grabbed the black bottle and drunk it hoping it would give her strength or something similar but it killed her instead. That’s when she realized it was poison. She grabbed the poison and jumped on a warthog.

The warthog was very good at running between the legs of the horses and it had good grip so it wasn’t thrown about by their stamping. But the warthog wasn’t as slick and as fast as the bike, the boss noticed the loud engine of the warthog when it approached and then reached down and ate her. While she was inside his stomach the acid started to burn her alive, she quickly grabbed the poison she had on her person and threw it all around the walls of his stomach. Because of that his health rapidly shrunk. Not long after he screamed and his stomach acid turned into molten lava as she turned into a black and burnt French fry.

Luar cringed when she heard their stories. She scored an F on the test because she couldn’t bear to harm another living creature. The elves were a peaceful race, at one with nature and the Universe. They were one of the few races that escaped the millennial war and the enslavement of the UCA. So they still had quite mellow and temperate personalities.

She also felt a slight tinge of jealousy, and she felt stupid that she didn’t think of this before. But even if she did she still couldn’t force herself to do it. It was too hard to change her innate nature, even if it was an illusion.

A lot of the students that go into the exam are told by their parents that the way to beat this test is to persevere and hold on for the 10 hours to pass and earn a C-Grade result. Luar had also known this knowledge but she gave up the test and made up for it in other areas. If she had truly gone through with beating the VR challenge then she could have joined the ranks of only 19 other triple S Class students.

Lucif slapped his face awake. He was still in awe that such a situation had occurred. That’s when he remembered their other S Grade result.

“How did you pass the memory test with S rank?”

They shrugged their shoulders and said, “I’ve always had a good memory.”

“But isn’t this a little excessive?”
