His breathing was heavy and it took him a while to calm himself down. He had been in many life threating situations in the past but how embarrassing would it be for him who boasted so much to die so ironically.
He gathered his wits and was ready to chop down another tree when he heard laughing, “Hehe kid you nearly died.”
Suddenly ten figures jumped down from the surrounding trees and landed on the tree that had just fallen down. “What are you girls doing here? Aren’t you supposed to be cutting down trees?”
“We finished a few minutes ago.”
‘They have already finished cutting down 1000 trees? It’s only been 15 minutes, wtf?’ Lucif just stood there wide eyed, “Okay, so what now?”
“Now comes the hard part, we have to deliver them.”
Lexi reached down and grabbed the freshly fallen tree and threw it over her shoulder. She was so thin and petite yet she could easily lift massive trees like this.
They walked forward and in front they came to a clearing, in the clearing were giant stacks of trees. There were 100 stacks and each stack had 10 tree trunks that were wrapped in iron chains. She threw the trunk over to the side and walked to the front of tree trunk. She grabbed a measuring tape and then measured out 30 meters.
“Okay girls, cut them down to size.”
They all took horse stances and cut down with a karate chop cutting off the tops of the trees, then proceeded to do it with the other side as well. ‘Damn, the martial artist from my world would be crying tears if they saw this.’
Now there were one thousand trunks at exactly 30 meters in length. They grabbed chains and leather straps that were connected to a pile each. “Kid, jump on the log.”
“What for?”, “Just do it kid, we don’t got all day.”
Lucif climbed onto the pile of tree trunks and grabbed onto one of the chains.
“Okay girls, let’s go!”
They started pulling the tree trunks along the ground like they were cranes or something. They slowly started to gather speed until it felt like 40 km winds were brushing against his face.
In practically no time at all they had returned to the mine. Shouting could be heard, it was so loud they could hear it from underground.
“What happened? I’ve only been gone an hour at most.”
They rushed down with the giant trunks to a scene that left them breathless. A massive area had already been dug out and there were carts rushing back and forth at high speed. The guys were cheering and chanting to keep the rhythm.
The boss turned around with a big smile on his, “Finally, you guys are here. What took you so long? The mine is starting to grow weak without the supporting beams.”
The girls unchained the tree trunks and quickly rushed 20 of them in and slammed them into the wall. “Alright then, we will get the rest of the trunks and bring them right over.”
The girls disappeared before Lucif could even get a word in.
“Ah, Lucif. I’m going to have to end your employment in the mines today.”
Lucifs eyes went wide and his expression changed from bewilderment and happiness to confusion and more six types of more confusion, “What? Why!”
Boss pointed over to a group of 15 men lying on the ground, “They had to sit this one out because they were messing up the rhythm of the super humans. Humans can’t keep up with their speed, even you can’t. But don’t worry, you will all be sent to the smithy. The pay is around the same and it’s a bit easier. Oh right, you already work at the smithy so its fine. Ah, the smithy will start at 8 am from now on.”
Lucif nodded his head, he didn’t disagree with what the boss said. The truth is, he was indeed too weak compared to these super humans but that didn’t mean he was happy about it. ‘Damn old man, do you have to keep rubbing it in?’

He was just about to head up to the smithy when he heard everyone yelling louder than usual and crowding around the wall. “Yes!”, “Oh my god!”, “Is this for real?”, “I can’t believe it.”
“Huh, wait. What’s going on?”
Everyone had stopped working as they gathered together. Lucif couldn’t see but the bosses’ eyes were sharp like an eagles. He couldn’t help but hold back a giant smile when he saw what appeared. “Gems, and a lot of them too.” He softly said to Lucif.
The areas they mined sometimes intersected with volcanoes, sometimes around these volcanoes a few gems would appear but just now they had smashed into a cavern. They started pushing through to have a look and all along the walls were various gems. A lot of them weren’t worth a lot but there were still various sapphires, emeralds, rubies and even diamonds.
He clenched his fist and almost coughed up blood, ‘My money, they stole my money!’
Lucif looked like he was about to pop a blood vessel as his eyes went red and his stomach churned green in envy.
“Okay guys, it’s been two hours go deliver your last trailer then let’s see what the grand total is. The machine will subtract the gems as they are inaccurate towards the final total.”
They gathered around as 650 names appeared on screen.
[1] Sydney Baker
Hourly Average: $22 Today’s Average: $75
[2] Peter Reti
Hourly Average: $23 Today’s Average: $76
[3] Zac Tahere
Hourly Average: $19 Today’s Average: $81
It was another massive leap in percentage, this method was definitely better than the first one. They were experiencing emotions of happiness and exciting. They were desperately saving money to try and free their relatives but it would have taken many of them 50 + years to save that kind of money. Now it may only take them a quarter of that time and it was all thanks to Lucifer.
“Thank you Master!”, “Yes, thank you Master!”
All 650 of them bowed their heads in respect, ‘Damn you, your dads a master, your damn families are masters! What’s respect going to do? Where’s my money dammit!’ He roared inside his head as his eyes popped out of his skull, turned red and started to water.
“Look, the Young Master is so filled with happiness he’s trying not to cry hehe…”
Cough… A small line of blood fell from the side of Lucifs mouth.
“Okay, let’s see how much the gems are worth. Some of them appeared to be high quality, but we won’t know until we check.” The boss quickly jumped in, if they started talking they might never stop and he desperately wanted to see how much each of them made. He also got a bonus if his workers earned a lot.

$236,501 per person.
“What!?” The crowd went wild, they only received a 3% split from the gem price but they had mined out entire trailers of them. That giant group of gems must have been worth over 5 billion dollars!
It had to be known that this sort of money was equal to or even more than 2 years of hard labor in the mines. Tears were streaming down their faces as they chanted Lucifer’s name, “Lucif, Lucif, Lucif, Lucif, Lucif!”
Suddenly, Lucifer coughed up a mouthful of blood as he fell to the ground and passed into unconsciousness. Ngaw, poor Luci.
