The proctor was visibly more excited than before, the prospects of someone scoring a beyond perfect score on the memorization, comprehension, determination and will power test sent shivers down her spine. It was an unprecedented feat but she quickly reigned in her excitement
“I might as well do the 9 levels while I’m here.”
She nodded her head and led him to the left where the wall and the door were located. It turns out this wasn’t another office but instead, it was the fitness course. She opened it and ushered him inside. When he arrived inside he was met with a large obstacle course, a shooting range and a doll room. He was actually quite surprised such a big facility could fit inside the walls.
“It is quite physically demanding so don’t overexert yourself.”
She walked forward and led him to the shooting range, “This one is a bit tricky but not impossible. You just have to shoot all the targets as they appear. Like I said before, there are 3 archery stages in total.”
“Well, it sounds simple enough.”
He picked up the gun and loaded it. The gun was lighter than the ones he was accustomed to. In fact it was almost weightless. It was slightly smaller but it felt deadly, it emanated the feeling of a predator.
“Begin.”
The targets started appearing one by one. They were normal circle shaped bullseyes stuck to a mannequin that appeared out of the ground.
“To get a perfect score you have to hit a bullseye every single time, you might think it’s easy but it’s harder than it looks, even I…” She suddenly shut her mouth as she saw the bullets flying.
Boom, boom, boom.
He easily took care of them, it was as simple as one two three.
“W..what?” She stumbled and almost fell over after seeing this scene.
‘Wow, these guns are a lot more accurate than the ones I’m used to.’
The second stage lights started flashing and robots ran out, they jumped around randomly like rabbits. Waving around with incredible speed. There was a bullseye in the middle of it’s head. Lucif breathed in and out, slowly. One, two, three…. Boom
The bullet shot true and hit the center point of the small bullseye target in the middle of the jumping robots head. Stagnant or mobile? They were all the same to Lucif, his marksmen skills had long ago reached the apex.

The third stage was different to the first two. Lucif was looking forward to a real challenge this time. The first two were so easy he could pass them in his sleep. This third stage consisted of 22 targets but his gun only had 7 bullets. The targets jumped off the walls and flew in different directions with incredible speed. To a normal person, facing off against such numbers with such speed and maneuverability would scare them. But it didn’t even faze Lucifer in the least.
‘If he can get 7 targets with his 7 bullets, he will score perfect marks.’
But contrary to her thoughts, Lucif was planning something else. It was only slight but there was a time when some of the targets perfectly lined up with each other.
Boom
The first bullet went through one robot, continued on to the one behind it and struck a third. All three hits were bullseyes.
“N…no way…” She couldn’t believe her eyes, this was only a mortal test yet his skills were unquestionable. All that talent was stuffed into this little boy’s body. It was hard to believe, she had to wipe her eyes to make sure she was seeing things clearly.
4 more shots sounded out as another 12 robots fell to the ground. 2 bullets were left but 7 targets remained. The bullets themselves were only powerful enough to pierce through two robots and barely skim the surface of the target in the third.
‘Hmm, now this is a challenge.’ A smirk appeared on Lucifs face as he planned his next move.
The proctor grabbed her examination touchpad and started searching. ‘If I remember correctly, the current mortal record is 13 targets in the third stage…If he can shoot down 21 targets them he will accomplish the impossible. Just who is this kid?’
Lucif stretched his arm and gun, he twisted his body and stretched. Relaxing his muscles completely before attempting his next shot.
‘Two bullets, seven targets. If I continue on like this I will only take down 21. But, I think I’ve already passed so I might as well do it. This is going to be a risk.’
Like a golf swing he practiced withdrawing the gun from his hip and crossing his right arm to his left side. He did this numerous times, waiting for the perfect moment. 15 minutes passed and he had yet to make a move.
‘Why is he taking so long? He made the rest of the shots look so easy, can it be that he has been overcome with anxiousness? He set his standards too high. It would be a shame for a genius to cave under his own expectations. I better offer some words of encouragement and tell him that he is already the highest ranking in this stage. That will ease some stress.’
But just before she could speak, Lucif swung the gun and 2 shots were fired.
‘No!’ The bullets strayed from their path and slung towards floor. In fact this time the robots weren’t lined up at all, the shot was a complete failure.
But against expectations the bullets were right on target, it happened so fast that it wasn’t visible with the human eye. But as soon as Lucif pulled the trigger he knew he had succeeded.
The two bullets flew, one left and one right.
Lucif had a keen sense of judgement. He knew that the only way to get all the robots heads was to ricochet a bullet. But their heads were too circular so if he tried to bounce a bullet off their head it was impossible to guess the trajectory and more than likely he would miss the shot.

The robots bodies had scratches all across them from other bullets being shot at them. They had been reused thousands of times and survived. But how was that possible?
This was due to their bodies being extremely sturdy. The only weak point was their forehead. It was purposely made with softer material with a sensor inside to sense the bullet entering. After the bullet entered, the robot was programmed to fall to the ground a second later.
Although the material was soft, it was still enough to slow the momentum.
