Daphne was dancing to the beat of the music, singing along with the lyrics. The concert was simply perfect. There's no way this day could ever become bad. Hell, a meteor could strike this place, kill them all, and Daphne would die a happy woman.
Then she realized Raven was standing next to her, saying something to her.
Daphne smiled, having no idea what she was saying. Something about pretty and like. Daphne nodded, Raven was probably talking about Aurora, and screaming, “What?” seemed as if it would ruin the mood of this concert. So she just nodded, until Raven turned her gaze back to the stage.
When the concert was over, and she left the hall, she saw that Raven looked a bit off.
“Were you drinking?”
Raven massaged her head, “Um, what?”
Daphne sighed and repeated her question, “Did you drink, you seem a bit off?”
“Drink? Yeah, just one beer. I'm so fucking tired. Can we go to sleep already?”
Daphne rolled her eyes, “You can’t drink on a work trip.”
Raven glared at her.
“Okay, let’s get back. The taxi should be waiting outside the building.”
Raven nodded and walked with Daphne to the taxi. That then drove off.
When they were back at the hotel room, Raven drank some water, and her mind cleared a bit. And that's when she remembered what she said to Daphne. She blushed from embarrassment, god, why did she say that? What was she thinking?
“Hey, um. Daphne?”
Daphne looked up from her phone, “Yes, what's up?”

“So, about what I said at the concert…”
“I'm not going to tell on you for drinking.”
“Thank you- Wait no. That's not what I meant. I meant what I said during the concert.”
Daphne smiled awkwardly, “Ah, sorry. I didn't actually hear what you said back then. I'm sorry.”
Raven blinked a few times, she didn't?
“You didn't?”
“I didn't.”
“Thank fucking god!” Raven said happily.
Daphne laughed, “Why, what did you say?”
“It's not important.”
“You mentioned it, now you have to say it.”
“No, I'd rather not.”
That's when Daphne caught that it might have been something inappropriate, so she let it go, “Okay, yeah. It's probably best I don't know.”
“Thank you,” Raven thanked her.
They stared at each other for a few seconds.
“Okay, I'll go take a shower now. You try not to barf.”
Raven blushed from embarrassment, she wasn't even that drunk. Daphne went to take her things before locking herself in the bathroom. Raven sighed. She really needs to start controlling herself better. She decided against drinking alcohol next time. If alcohol makes her act so inappropriately, then it's better she stays off it.
Daphne let the hot water wash over her, thinking about what Raven possibly could’ve said. Some things can remain a mystery forever, so best not to dwell on them for too long. Though it's only natural she's curious!
Is there a possibility Raven said she wants to quit her job? Daphne knew she could've easily said something like that, and probably even did, which is why she only drinks at that one club, where people are expecting you to say something bad about work.
Daphne squeezed some shower gel onto her hand and started scrubbing her body. It felt so nice to be finally clean after an afternoon of jumping up and down in a room filled with people.
Once she finished she dried herself off with a towel, got dressed and stepped back to the room, where she found Raven already asleep.
Raven looked so peaceful in her sleep, slowly breathing in and out. She even forgot to take off her make-up, but she did wear her pajamas. Daphne smiled and then went to sleep herself.
