Bella and Raven were standing in Raven’s apartment, in her room with an open suit case.
“I still can't believe you're going to LA, and to Aurora's concert! You're so goddamn lucky.”
Raven nodded, “I know, right. I'm in complete shock! So what do you think I should pack?”
Bella looked through Raven’s clothes trying to find the best outfit. She picked out a few and gave them to Raven to try out. After trying them all out they decided on a plain purple T-shirt, jeans, and sneakers for the concert, as even though it's autumn already, she knows how hot it can get when you fill a room with people all of them jumping and dancing.
“Make sure to take plenty of pictures,” Bella added.
Raven nodded, “Of course, don't worry. My camera roll is gonna be filled with pictures.
For meeting Tara, Bella picked for Raven an expensive dark blue blouse, with black pants and short low high-heeled boots.
“Very classy, don't you think?” Raven asked Bella.
“Yes, plus it goes with your name, Raven. You're gonna be the prettiest girl in the room.”
“Okay, be realistic. There's gonna be Tara in the room.”
“Right, then the second prettiest person in the room.”
Raven laughed, “Thank you.”
Bella looked over the mess they've made, “Well then I guess it's time I return the favor, let's clean up your room.”
Then Raven and Bella folded all of the clothes and put them either back in the closet or in the suitcase.
“Okay, that's done. Now, what's next?” Bella asked.
Raven looked at her list, “Well, that’s all, besides the things I'm gonna pack tomorrow. You know, toothbrush and such. Thanks for the help.”
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
Bella nodded. It's not like she could stay much longer even if there were other things to pack. Her husband could only take care of the baby for so long. Which Raven rightfully thought was so stupid. As a dad, he shouldn't have that much trouble taking care of his own kid.
It was late already and Raven still had work tomorrow, so she went ahead and took a shower before putting on pajamas and going to sleep. Except of course, she couldn't fall asleep. She was too excited! Going to Los Angeles, California, AND meeting celebrities? Who wouldn't be excited!
But if she doesn't get any sleep now, she's gonna be grumpy the whole day tomorrow, and they'll land in the middle of the night, meaning she'll barely get any sleep. And then she couldn't enjoy this workation. No, she couldn't be tired when meeting Tara Hill or Aurora Reeves. She has to fall asleep, she has to go take sleeping pills.
She took a bottle from the medicine cabinet, and took a pill out of it. That should help, and it did. When she went back to sleep she fell asleep soon after.
Raven’s phone started the alarm. Loud ringing priced through her dreams, and as soon as she woke up she already forgot what they were about, only being left with a vague feeling of boredom. Who knew dreams can be, of all things, boring?
She woke up excited, she just needed to get through work today and after that it's plane time! Raven clapped with hands from excitement. Just a few more hours! She got dressed quicker than usual and stepped with a light step, almost bouncing, towards the door, and then towards her car. With which she drove to work.
She started the computer and waited for it to load, nothing can make this day bad. To think in a few hours she's gonna be on a plane to LA, that simply can't be beat. She then worked on her game until the end of her working hours, and surprisingly she didn't have many problems, and the ones she had, she quickly solved. The game prototype was on a good track. She's just gonna have to add some monsters, and then it’ll be done.
After work she packed the remainder of her things, took a shower and dressed in comfortable yet presentable clothes. Then she called a taxi that drove her to the airport. She decided to get there a bit earlier so that in case of traffic she wasn't late. Then she waited for others to arrive.
So many higher-ups were gathered in one place, Raven felt a bit overwhelmed. Mangers, CEO, and even the founder of Phantasm. It all felt so surreal. Raven giggled to herself as she tried to imagine them at Aurora's concert jumping like your average fan.
“Okay, let’s check if everyone is here.” One of the guys with a tablet said, as he started calling names, and it seemed everyone was here. Then, to Raven's surprise, instead of dealing with plane tickets or any of that they just all walked to a smaller plane. Wait- They were going to fly on a private plane? Damn, that most have cost a fortune, just how important is this deal?
Since the seats weren't assigned, Raven just sat on one of the window seats, since she loved the view you can see when flying a plane, especially when landing at night.
